My brothers an IPP prisoner 7 years over tariff. Recalled twice. Once for 14 months and again for 19 months. Both for what the probation deemed " poor behavior ". Arguing with his twin brother he received 14 months. The second recall he was accused of assault (pushing his drunk girlfriend) but later proved innocent with no further action. "Poor behaviour". 19 fucking month, lost his home and everything he'd built. He's now in a probation hostel after the bastards have left him homeless. Absolutely disgusting this IPP.

Shared. I know many people on IPP sentences, some guilty, some not, of doing something stupid years ago, sometimes stealing a mobile phone. Most have been driven a kind of mad by this sentence. Good, thorough doc, thank you

Wow this is crazy insane!! One stole a cell phone one a bike one has spent 16 yrsand the other I think 11 yrs. Either way this this horrific, horrible, evilness!! No matter what state the Prison is at .The system is corrupt money hungry, heartless, evil, no empathy.

Great video. Going to be very useful for my Masters Dissertation. Feel a lot of emotions watching this and cannot imagine the pain IPP prisoners and their familes are going through. Would be great to see interviews with these IPP relatives highlights the injustices caused.

If Ipp is unlawful and been abolished. Why is it not unlawful to hold onto the remaining Ipp prisoners????

Utterly heartbreaking and shocking in equal measures and yet that doesn't even come close to the utter destruction these sentences have had on not only the lives of the guilty but those of their family who are also living these sentences. I pray that some day soon you will get the justice you deserve 🙏

Very well produced, thank you, but who is it for? An indifferent at best 'Justice' Secretary who wouldn't look at it anyway, people who already know or other people who have no power either?
Nearly 10 years on from partial abolition, we also need urgent invitations to relentless action, talk not being enough, as their Lordships showed in the clips included.
UNGRIPP is tremendous & I am aware of the work put in by Katharine Gleeson & others over the years, but a real plan of consistent action is needed - I support a man whose 18 month tariff will turn into 18 Years this July if his 6 month remand in jail is included, which he certainly does, with 20 Years looming the way things are going.
I despair from the outside the way he is treated, neither uncompliant nor mad -yet - glad I am not related, imagining the extra levels of oppression on those who are.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to comment, this film is for everyone. We are all poisoned by this toxic sentence, it is just that most people don't know about the ongoing crisis of IPP. The major TV channels are currently not interested in commissioning a full programme although itv produced 2 news segments last week. I have uploaded this film to TH-cam in the hope that people will share it and by viral means the message will spread. Power to change this does lie with the Justice Minister so people who see this must share it and try and put pressure on their MP and the MOJ. I stood in Parliament Sq last week and protested with others, I gave out fliers proposing a public inquiry which I know will not happen but I am preparing the ground for a People's Tribunal and if you support this idea then please email us: tion@gmx.com, thank you for your time. This Sentence is so Inhumane!
    Please stop this!
I'm totally against Crume, but this is ridiculous!
Furthermore,.I read about the 2 Strike Life.Sentence, which there are still thousands Serving. But because the 2 Strike Sentence was changed to IPP, there's loads of 2 Strikers still left in the Prison System!? 😳

If government and ministers don't back bill. Then what happens? We abolished the death penalty in this country because it inhumane. So why if ipp been abolished are we still executing them to this day?
