Downtown Preview Lap 1 [Burnout 3: Takedown]

The first Preview Lap! Mechanically, these are the same as Burning Laps, except they stick you in a super fast car. My advice is that you don't boost out of the alleyway and try to get into the middle so that you can boost through with no traffic. One crash will kill a Gold Medal here, so just restart if that happens.

I probably got lucky with those cars, but if you'll notice, I turned off the boost when I got to the alley because I kept crashing during that exit.

@@Lordof420 Personally, I like that they made the game seem overly difficult from the outset, rather than making it easy to start with. That way you know what you're getting into.

@@heytisi2681 nah, same lol.. Not complaining. Top 5 ps2 games for me honestly, and one of the first 3 I owned. Even had a mad catz steering wheel for it and that was fun as hell as a kid that I literally rebought that steering yesterday cause my mom had donated it way back then. Can't wait to play with that

Nice! I just got 1:01 on my 4th or 5th attempt. The sense of speed on this level is insane! I ended up with the same strategy of not boosting when entering the underpass/pillar area, way too sketchy.
