- Rezael made a huge splash in Japan. Why is it so strong now?

I’ve been playing Rezael since he released and have loved the deck. It feels so good to have gotten so much more powerful. What I don’t like though it that now people are like “wow you’re playing Rezael, using the best deck smh” and I’m like, I’ve been playing this deck since it came out!
Definitely some good tips in this video. I am rocking Varga for BCS Pasadena in March. I will have to implement this when I fight Rezael.
Hot take I don’t mind these decks as the meta they feel why better to play into then the de meta decks
I am just grateful no more stride deck meta.
Issue with Razael and Levi is not just their strong offensive power but also how insanely defensively strong the decks are/can be as well as the low resource costs/ability to recycle resources they need to be that strong.
Levi's markers on opp board are essentially a free cost eb cyclers that -10k instead of +5k shield that don't take up spaces in their deck space which allows them the ability to play tons of high value RGs (filter/big beat sticka/utility) without needing to make space for any defensive cards in the deck.
Meanwhile Razael has keter pile + its support to generate shit tons of card advantage from turn 2 onwards combined with the hostage + Amorta combo which allows them to essentially infinitely recycle triggers/pgs back into deck.
The only way I see they can be nerfed is
1) Levi - squirel/flower/foxil restricted in some way
2) Razael - restrict cellgaon and for the love of god restrict amorta's perfect synergy with hostage order in some way (erata/restricted to 1/etc)
Or maybe Empireo (The Destined King) cannot be used in Ride Deck TBF
@@cyberninjarappa it doesnt change a thing xd
Ah i was waiting for a video about rezael after the levidras video lol
Everyone was doing Levidras so I did the Rezael one instead.
I never played Rezael at all since it's release but i feel like it's just a meme deck now for how strong it is
To me something has to be done about the dog with rezael in particular, like a choice restriction with a rezael specific unit. Cellgaon is definitely responsible for a good majority of the decks ability to generate so much card advantage. Finding one by turn 2 is enough for the deck to because it can be recycled so easily over and over, that in conjunction with cards like Nillberis just lets the deck snowball, and that not even taking into consideration and extra drive checks you can get in a turn from Gabwellius and the divine skill. I think if any two get restricted it shtick be Nill and cellgaon
cergaon should be banned tho. Its simply unfair card.
@ it honestly just feels like it’s at its most unfair when in conjunction with Rezael, at least with other Keter decks they don’t have a form of revival, so Cerrgaon it just a generic card that can only get used once per copy, where as Rezael can be use it again and again
Both Levi and rezael clearly has much better power and resource generation than most current decks, so my proposal would be :
1. Limit cerrgaon to 1(or just ban it outright) , it's clear this card alone is so powerful at generating resources and power that most keter decks will default to it when deck building, and what I'm fearing is that bushiroad will design future keter decks with cerrgaon in mind, thus decreasing their playability without cerrgaon, so just limit it to 1 it's going to both nerf rezaels draw power and early offensive power (plus they can remove luards choice restriction as a bonus)
2. As for levi, it's tough but this deck excells at offense and defense so choice restricting anotogaster with squirell or foxill might do the trick, since the infinity eyes marker is an amazing defensive ability, nerfing the decks offense might just be the only way to make it fair.
These decks are just so much better than anything else right now and something needs to be done about it, i genuinely can't see a situation where a deck like gramgrace, chronojet, phantom blaster or some of the other older decks win without getting lucky, if they let this go on then the power creep would go out of control in the upcoming months (if they try to match rezael and levi power). Like Standard was supposed to be slower than premium but matches tend to end on turn 3 or 4 when these decks fight anything else. They were really careful with the first batch of fated ones where the decks were good but not broken, and older decks can still compete with the newcomers, now though? It's eiter fated kings or love and berry.
I’ve said for a long time to choice restrict teithfault and dog
If it’s to hit Rezael it wouldn’t be effective. There’s a build of Rezael that doesn’t use Teithfallt that’s arguably better.
Well the other build is infinitely more expensive to build. Costs cb so easier to counter play and lack of doggo will definitely hurt early game and resource accumulation
@@jacobjensen7704 just in general it’s a bullshit advantage engine that is hurting deck building in keter. No matter what they print it’s worse than just playing keter pile
The Keterpile shall get a 3 in 1 Choice Restriction TBF, and another updated 3 in 1 Choice Restriction by adding the normal Rezael to Luard & Cellgaon implemented beforehand.
hit both, only other decks that come close to these levels of meta are rogue like the bat , odium , rakasha & anti meta decks
Just hit keter pile dog to 1 and unrestrict luard dog, and hit choice restrict g3 musketeer and g2 dragonfly anotogaster
Only way to nerf levidras is to make it a 4 attack deck by banning foxil or onfall as moving forward i doubt levi will play any generics anymore.
Rakasha doesn't counter them that much imo . Levidras clear its own board with G3 and has tons of revive cards. Same case for Rezael with Nibilus, Cadwalla, or dog. Either board wipe too strong, or self repair board that doesn't give a sh*t to retire.
Messiah would be a nice chioce, bind any key card they left on board like Foxil or Gab (except it's a stride deck, cost you a lot from generic RRR and took long time to reach power that overcome infinity eyes marker)
Hopefully they do restrict some cards.
Unfortunately it’s the Protagonist deck so it has to be strong. Though i really hope that it can be equally klunky to other decks same as Levidras man Ban that squirrel 🤣🤣🤣
Ban Cerragon like they did Luard
They need to stop the engine, choice teithfault and dog.
@@thetcgpulse agree to this. they need to stop the access they gain towards teitfalt and wisdom. makin them choose to still use cerrgaon will make them resort back to rezael support like nobia or Festival collection valtrossa (which is expensive along with her sister in levi deck aspronia)
hot take Levidras and Rezael isnt really a problem and no I dont play any of them
Not enough defensive options?
Ban cerrgaeon
Players would just use the next best thing, that being Painkiller Angel. Might actually be better in certain circumstances like the opponent filling up their board or when you want a Nilberis in your soul to be in the drop zone.
@@Wslashertbh though, having to defend the 13k boost early, especially going second, is generally disgusting. Painkiller not getting power is huge, especially in a deck with no turn 2 15k g2 units.
@@Wslasher at least painkiller costs coulblast and doesnt get raw power on boost. Its fair version since it doesnt glimpse 2.
Trash format, go next
