The btcc late 90s was amazing wished it could of carried on it's still good but not the same. The supertourers where something else compaired to even cars today. I like how Reid kept his original helmet too
Believe it or not, these cars had effectively a *sister category* in the World Rally Championship at one point - the FIA 2-Litre Championship for manufacturers. The cars follow a similar specification to the Super-Tourers; 2000cc, 275-300HP naturally-aspirated four-bangers with front wheel drive and weighing less than a tonne on the curb. The biggest differences between these Kit-Cars and the Souper-Tourers are less sophisticated aerodynamics, softer springs with more suspension travel, and a passenger seat for the navigator so that the cars can handle the rough-and-tumble world of Stage Rally.
People need to understand just how fast these were. Current BTCC cars are doing mid to high 50's compared to this which was in the low 50's which for a FWD car is amazing. Supertouring was really something else.
Jeez almost flat out barely coming off the throttle for one or two corners but it such a sexy car regardless I love these era of BTCC cars as I have a soft spot for Nissan 😊
i saw this video and it said loud WOW, i didnt remember this car, and come to my mind TOCA game wow just wow this car was the best overall back in the days.
Early on this looked like Twitch Plays Goodwood FOS 🤣glad he pulled it together, that dashcam footage looking old school makes everything seem cooler 😯
My buddy came over a couple nights ago and walked in the house while I was watching a vintage Corvette compete in another hill climb event. He asked me, "so you just listen to cars driving...?" My poor incompetent and incomplete friend...
NA DE making ~275 horse. Built though, I think the highest you can get on a factory P11 was the SR20VE Te.V, which is 188-197 horse. (Proud owner, not to brag.)
The best-sounding four-pot around?
Nah. Mercedes 190E Evo II DTM.
It's certainly intriguing.
8500rpm and no silly turbo
Yup
Still had the 90's in car camera
I like when they use those shots from the car it gives a different perspective
Looks like '60
Sadly we can't go put a modern camera in a car on a run from a fair number of years ago. If only we could eh?
@@GoodwoodRR Never mind, like this is more 90s, I love it. Btw, driver was a former professional driver? His skills are totally insane for a show
@@doblajesyalgomas3390 It's Anthony Reid, who finished second in the BTCC in this very car.
One of my favorite late 90s/early 00s TC's, today's BTCC while still providing very good close racing, doesn't match the 80s/90s/00s.
Love the onboard camera. Just like the 90s all over again. Back when touring car was worth watching!
Touring cars currently are worth watching
It's just not the same tho, is it ?
This is one roaracious Primera!
These were the days of BTCC, 100%
Man, this takes me back! Haven't seen one of these in years!

Nissan Primera Number one 👍👍👍

Are F2 Kit Cars were heavily revamped uni-body constructions too? Those cars seems so low that the wheel houses were higher close to the hood
One of the best Super Tourers driven by a legend!

WHAT THE HECK!! I OWN A P11 duuuuuuuuuuuude I’m definitely taking inspiration from this wow!
This car reminds me an awesome videogame called TOCA Touring Car Championship from the Codemasters. Thanks to this I know a little about the BTCC.

I feel like I'm playing ToCA 👌
My buddy came over a couple nights ago and walked in the house while I was watching a vintage Corvette compete in another hill climb event. He asked me, "so you just listen to cars driving...?" My poor incompetent and incomplete friend...
He belongs to the streets
Used to be a video of the outside view of this on TH-cam.. taken from the itv coverage i think. Can't find it anywhere now.
Tidy run
I spent my teens building B15s like this
Thats a primera p11 not a nissan sunny b15.
Toca 2 Touring Cars
Nice ❤❤❤
Was this FWD or RWD? And the P10?
is it sr20det or swapped?

She sounds angry
Great livery too
If I was driving, I'd panic about hitting that wall.
So why do the marshals line up at the start and sort of "hold" the car...?
Does anyone know the time recorded on this run?
Did we get the official time?
Guys, not every car runs timed. We have time, we put it on the video.
@@GoodwoodRR Thanks. We definitely enjoy seeing every video posted.
From gran turismo 2
Ignorance, here.....was this new? Did I miss FOS?
