+Blame The golden era for motorsport for me. The BTCC was fabulous, the WRC was immense, F1 was interesting... still, at least the BTCC is good to watch now. Unlike the other two.
One of my favourite cars ever !!! I always wanted to have one of these Primera GTs (the street version). It was and still is such an exquisite vehicle.
A Nissan Primera P11 was my first car... I really loved it!. BTW, for those who played TOCA2 (like myself) and love super tourers, Assetto Corsa has a mod of this car that is absolutely fantastic, I spend hours driving it!
OOOHh guys i had to cry at the video so it's so emotional. The motor vehicle the true the best times I've known since I'm 10 years old and through the Ps1 Games Toca Best Times. NISSAN PRIMERA GT STW
I still remember going to my first race at Oulton Park, at 5 years old, with my late dad and uncle. I couldn't see the cars race, as I couldn't look over the crash barrier. I just remember the swarm of wasps buzzing past ever minute or so. At some point in my life, I'd love to own and race one of these cars
I really didn't mean to scrutinize the driver from the last video in that R34. With the most sincerity, I would never say these drivers don't know what they're doing. There is a certain art and technique that I think we need to identify as the next step of evolving. The art of mastering the corners through muscle memory, to be able to identify exactly what the outcome of a certain action would be. Given the exquisite technological advancements we have created, the ability to take a corner without actually taking the corner formally. For a driver to spend months and months with his car in an open area and develop muscle memory in all conditions.
I don't know what it is but remembered having similar issues with my own Nissan built B11 sunny with an Nvecs Ga16 vvti. once you hit a bump hard or go airborne that's it. but these engines and the Sr20 were very fast.
Ohhh man, how I love late '90s BTCC. I still have the '97-00 seasons on VHS somewhere!! How come he has to use the clutch pedal on downshifts? Does it smooth them out or something?
The sequential gearbox is made for clutchless upshift, and can do downshifts aswell without, but using the clutch increases the lifespan of these gearboxes. We typically have full service at about 800KM, then its worn.
Question. Was this the model that Nissan "cheated" the btcc by using the chassis from the non European 4x4 cars sold in Japan so they could get a better suspension set up and superior handling . While running a 2 wheel drive set up. Just a big rumour I heard while at brands hatch one race weekend
Late reply, but these cars is the Eu spec, but the suspensionpoints was allowed smaller changes to where the suspension would be bolted. they welded the new mounts in.
the late 90s for BTCC...just the golden era. Spent hundreds of hours on PS1 playing Toca 1 over a decade ago.

Same great game but Gran Turismo buried it
Toca 2 for me.
Just watching this makes even more impressed with the engine sounds in Toca 2, this sounds spot on in the game.
Gran Turismo & ToCa is strong in this one
I love this car and the Laguna BTCC. 90 supertouring cars are the best!!!
I would actually have a hard time choosing between this and a GTR that's how amazing it sounds
Btcc ofc. More rare and special
unlike the GTR this car actually handles well and sounds good so its an easy pick
It's got the Silvia motor so I'd hand it to the Primera.
Nice 👍🏻 just watched this clip while sitting in my primera GT
+Rottensteam yeah they are great, really good for having a blast round the country lanes
Same here

This era of BTCC was on another level!! Being able to enjoy the experience on TOCA 2 was another W.
I miss my P11 w/ the SR20VE, awesome first car!
I had the p11 SR20DE. I also miss that car.
these machines were amazing !! and still are
I loved racing in the rain, there were those who could and those who couldn't
This makes me wanna buy a Primera, lol. And all those Beetles in the track
Bram Collier its a hell of a car! Amazing sounding too
.. Sounds much better then a I4 from a honda
Now this brings back some awesome Saturday afternoon memories.
Loved watching this era of BTCC, still remember going to Donington with my dad to watch it!
I remember this Primera BTCC, from GT2 and TOCA.

乗りたいなあ。
That`s really a super machine...!
Wow that's brutal and beautiful at the same time. Can we have the same kind of video with a K11 Nismo TV?
One can only dream off a BTCC comeback... Maybe one day :)
I wish they'd make a good BTCC game.
This is prfct...
Sada. 🌠💥🍀🏁

the reason I am actually in uni is to get a good job and start racing ......I hope to be driving these cars one day

didn't it cost 3million GBP to build each car (i vaguely remember this from 5th gear), if so thats insane!
How much does a gear box like that cost

Nissan Primera is just a disguised GTR lol
the Laurent Aiello's car who win the championship in 1999. #great
More like the 1997 Primera that Anthony Reid drove in BTCC in 1997, if you look at the start of the video, you will see Reids name on the window :)
What engine is in this?
A modified SR20DE
