Oh my gosh! I didn't see you posted this, but I am SO EXCITED you tried these experiences. I actually work for Dreamscape (the company who developed these experiences) as a game-tester, and there was one day where I actually got to go and work on both of these experiences (normally, I'm a tester for a different one of their projects, but that day, they needed some extra people to go test the HP stuff instead and I happened to live close by, so I got the gig! I was super excited cause I'm a big HP fan)! I remember the whole time I was there, I actually kept thinking about this channel like, "The Potter Collector would lose his freaking mind with this."
And don't feel bad about not getting Reparo at the end of Chaos. That experience actually has two different endings, a "good" ending and a "bad" ending. The only way to get the "good" ending is if everyone in your party successfully casts Reparo in that final scene, but doing so is statistically very difficult, and the larger your party is, the more difficult it gets. The entire day we were testing that game, we had countless iterations of that experience, and the whole day, we only got the good ending ONE time (and yes, we all lost our minds, we were so excited). And I'm talking like five hours straight of repeating that same experience over and over again...and WE only managed to get the good ending one time. So don't feel bad. It's really hard.
Another fun easter egg is that, in Wizards, if you fly down by the womping willow at the beginning of the game, it will take a swipe at you, so watch out! Also, near the end of the game, Hagrid has a couple lines of dialogue that make reference to a certain character from Fantastic Beasts (won't say which one), so if any of you have the chance to book this experience, keep your ears open for that.
The spell is reparo to stop a dragon? I would assume it would be "stupify."
@@huepham8851 there's a sleeping draught that Dobby tries to use to make the Dragon fall asleep and stop its rampage, but the bottle with the potion in it falls and breaks. So you have to pull all your magic together and cast Reparo to get the bottle to repair and the sleeping draft to be used. Then the dragon falls asleep and Dobby says you saved the day.
@@Monker4444 OOHHH that's tricky, I assumed it was everyone collectively saying "stupify" since that's how they stopped the dragon in the book. But why does everyone have to cast reparo for a bottle? That seems like a one-person job.
@@huepham8851 That's a fair point. I wasn't involved in the development meetings, so I don't know why they made Reparo the climactic spell. I am sure they just wanted the customers to feel like they had a strong "team moment" in the finale, so they made the last spell a group cast. But I'm not sure why they made it reparo instead of stupify. My guess is they went with the more "non-violent" option to make it more palatable for families.
@@Monker4444 that's true, and also the teamwork part is akin to how a dragon is stopped in the book. So it's a fair compromise, but also it's not something you'd expect so would make people want to come back to get the other ending. So there's lots of reasons I guess. Thanks for sharing, that's a pretty sweet job, game testing.
The timing of the video is so great cause I just did Wizards Take Flight this past weekend and Chaos at Hogwarts last month! I definitely prefer Chaos at Hogwarts more than Wizards Take Flight but I think it’s was cause my goggles got knocked out of place during Wizards so everything was a little blurry. Definitely would do both again!

Don't worry about spoilers. No matter how many wizarding world of Harry Potter promos I watched in 2010 nothing is like going there for first time!
This was just way bigger and better than I expected when I heard VR experience. I thought it would just be the goggles and just not as much like a ride for some reason. Thanks for this video!

@@GB_Rusty I made a VR quidditch simulator a couple of years ago that I need to finish some time. I have plans for another VR project that is also potter related. Hope one day you can try it. If it works the way I hope then it will be truly magical.

Going to Hogwarts and casting spells will actually be possible once somebody develops a big aaa multiplayer Harry Potter Vr game, the technology is already there

Just before the pandemic happened my friend took my to a Star Wars VR experience here in Vegas. It really was the most incredible thing to be fully exploring Vader’s Castle and being able to touch anything and it was really there. $34 for this is ultra cheap. I think mine was about $40 each. If any of you get the chance to do a VR experience like one of these, do it. It’s mind blowing.

I have a VR headset and I enjoy the VR wish they would do this for people who do have VR to be able to purchase it to play at home. This was awesome. So thank you for showing it.

i actually did the VR experience on monday(6/13/22) bc i was in nyc and i did "Wizards take flight". It was really fun and 100% worth it so i would totally recommend. i was lucky enough to find tickets a day or 2 before but i would still book ahead of time bc these experiences are pretty popular🤚
OMGGG i didnt know you could cast any spell you wantedddd!!! I did both VRs a couple week ago. Hogwarts Takes Flight was my favorite of the two for sure! I'll have to go back so I can try all the other spells!

I just did Wizards Take Flight on Monday and it was amazing and tried Butterbeer & Butterbeer ice cream for the fist time and it was delicious. Cant wait to do Chaos at Hogwarts

Videos with your family are always so great! How long did those experiences last? Sounded super cool and worth of money. Did you feel dizzy after them as vr glasses can sometimes do that?
The whole experience lasts about 1/2 hour but that includes putting on and taking off the gear. I’ve only been to Chaos at Hogwarts but I would say it’s about 15 mins in the virtual setting.
Each experience is just over 10 minutes, varying on how fast players complete tasks and progress.
I will have to save up to do a NY vacay. I sooo want to do this.

@DarthTower, I was a play tester for these experiences. I wasn't really involved with the technical side or the development details exactly, so I don't know how great I would be at answering any of your questions. But I could try?

Chaos at Hogwarts felt longer, but that could have been because the gearing up is more intensive. From gear up to gear off it was about 30 minutes. Wizards take flight was probably closer to the 20 minute mark, but both experiences are set to 30 minutes to include gear on to gear off.

An amazing rides
As someone who's afraid of heights and roller-coasters, I think I'll just stick to Chaos at Hogwarts.
I was terrified doing Wizards takes flight ...like crap I had closed my eyes the whole time 🤣

I’m so excited to see this video. My daughter my sister and I are headed to New York on Saturday to the Harry Potter store. We couldn’t get tickets for both VRs but did get one for Wizards Flight. Can’t wait! I do have a question though, our tickets are for 6:20 PM and I know that because we have tickets we don’t have to use the QR code to get in line to get into the store. But, how early can we get into the store before our tickets? Also can we use are QR scan code for the tickets to get into the store and back out and then come back again for our actual ride?
It always catches me off guard when you're with Michael and Thomas because my best friend's dad, growing up, was named Michael Thomas. Lol

@@huepham8851 every member of the group had to use their wands to fix the vial, which was broken. This is how you defeat the dragon. My group was unsuccessful at the time. But be sure to have all members of the party to fix the vial!
@@SanguinaryStrife does everyone have to do it all at once, or everyone just has to say the same spell and not necessarily synchronized?
@@huepham8851 you all are given about 20 seconds for everyone to cast the spell. Everyone must properly cast the spell and point their wants to the vial before those 20 seconds are up. That's where I went wrong before, I wasn't waving my wand right and I couldn't cast the spell. Everyone has to cast it and hold it.
@@SanguinaryStrife hold it by the time the 20 seconds is up? Why couldn't you cast the spell, because you didn't wave the wand right? Is it just the way Kenneth does it in the video or some other technique?
since you can do spells they dont tell you about, I'm wondering if you can just cast any of the 3 forbidden curses. would make the fight against the deatheaters a lot easier if you could just hit 'em with the imperious curse
