I might actually do my birthday in New York this year just to do this! I’m unintentionally making it a Harry Potter themed first half of the year on my channel and this would be really fun. I’ve also been all over New York and even UNDER New Jersey but I’ve never seen the America Statue of Liberty so that’s definitely still on the list. Thank you for showing this!

I think it’s worth pointing out that the wands at this store are non-interactive meaning they’re mostly for display and they don’t have electronics to work at the parks. Universal is slowly phasing them out in favor of only selling interactive wands (I believe the only non-interactive they currently sell are Harry and Hermione + the 4 options if you get the $300 gift card).
This is what I was looking for…so these wands in NYC wouldn’t work in Universal?
@@sunlitegodis correct. These are just replicas usually made out of resin with a metal core so no electronics or anything that to give it functionality at the parks. That being said they are excellent quality, and feel amazing in the hand since they’re not made out of hollow plastic. And they’re a lot more film-accurate so they make great display pieces.

Anyone know if the “interactive” wands you can buy in Universal are able to be bought in NY store? My son is turning 11 and we need to get his wand. We have ones from Orlando, and eventually will take a trip there again, but may likely visit NYC just to buy a wand. However if it doesn’t work for Universal, then we may hold off on the wand purchase. They have interesting store wands and I can’t seem to confirm this info anywhere online.

although i did enjoy the VR experience when i went, i dont think it was worth the $37... they should drop it to around $10 .. its pretty short
