its funny, because when I was younger, I hated classical music with a passion, but now that I'm slightly older, I've learned to take the time to listen and appreciate this genre of Music
I think it's the fact that we now realize how much work and time and commitment it takes every one of the musicians to perfect their skills and then we see the perfect combination of many dozens of people to make one beautiful sound.
Legends wait for 1:48 to get lost to the celestial space... 🎼🎉 Pyotr composed a banger that is still enjoyable even today. No wonder if the flowers in the garden dances for this music...
Takes me back to my cherished boyhood when, every Christmas season, I looked forward to The Nutcracker. And The waltz of The Flowers was my favorite. If “music expresses wordless odysseys” then my now cherished life in Christ Jesus truly “is exceeding, abundantly beyond all I ask or think according to the power that works in me”. “God is light and in HIM is no darkness at all.” PWG
I absolutely love going out with my telescope and camera to capture the night sky while this music plays in the background. It’s like astronomy and classical music mesh so perfectly!
Although Nutcracker is associated with lightweight and superficial holiday things, for the attentive and sensitive listener, this piece will always be full of such longing and melancholy it’s sometimes too much to bear. Tchaikovsky used to write in his letters to his family that basically he wept almost daily. This waltz makes you understand that.
OMG!! I remember in college we performed the whole ballet with dancers from NC Ballet Company and members of our music facility. I played second flute. Something I will NEVER forget. ❤
I try to wonder what could be then the oboe's solo without today's amplifying, acoustical only, especially with the then totally undisciplined chattering audience who were barely listening. Geniuses like Tchaikovsky deserve so much praise, for we can so ceremonially listen to it today.
other pieces of music might dare to be as beautiful as this....but none more beautiful...I am an (unknown) musician/multi-instrumentalist/composer; but when I listen/watch this...the soaring melodies...the musicians all playing as one...the conducter.....I go weak at the knees, in this mucial tsunami....
Beautiful performance by this orchestra. I am currently learning this piece on piano and I can't get enough of it. The iconic melody gives me goosebumps and the whole song is just gorgeous. Loved the performance of everyone, this was perfect ❤
I’ve heard other orchestras perform this piece. It really is the minor but perceivable differences that make you decide whether you like that particular rendition.
I don't have any musical skills, but I'm always absolutely amazed watching the magic of an orchestral performance. It blows my mind, like "How is this possible?" Oh, and the clarinet guy is pretty hot!
I've watched this video several times, and still will never get tired of it. I couldn't help but notice one band member not playing her instrument at all and pouting the entire time. I can't help but wonder what was going on in her mind, to not participate with all the other band members playing this beautiful song.
I never get tired of hearing waltz of the flowers

Same here
It’s not classical music
