Yeah, I’m right there with you. This won’t be a replacement for my Batman Omnibus collection, and I’m going to keep buying new Batman Omnis as they come out -which is a terrible financial decision. Don’t be like me. But I’m still excited for the connecting spines, and to be able to quickly grab and read what basically amount to 136 of Batman’s “Greatest Hits” stories. The Fanhome books are likely what I would hand to a visitor like “here, try this story out”. Though they’d never be allowed to leave with it 🤣🤣🤣
Eaglemoss did this as 1-100 originally covering batman's timeline. It was a massive success, so after that they just continually added new stories, extending the binder artwork for another 24 books till they went out of business. If popular in the US, fanhome would presumably just keep going with all the new books.

I think it’d be fun if you made it a series where you review, not just overview, each book that comes in. It’d be Kick’s review of the entire Batman mythology which would be fun. Also digestible due to the monthly format. You could do it once a week.

facts. Batman has always been my favorite. I chose the premium plan because I have always stayed away from the golden/silver age omnis. The completist in me won't let me pick and choose between them, and there are WAY too many. This is a nice 'greatest hits' style collection
I bought the Transformers collection. 100 books with a single spine image covering over 30 years of stuff. These collections aren’t for everyone but they are generally good quality and a steady flow collection.
True but falling behind on the reading can mean you need to sprint at times. I've had a six month deficit in the 2000AD before that needed catching up on, recently read about a year's worth of the current Hachette DC in the space of a couple of months to get caught up. The Star Trek I really need to be in the mood for so those I went ahead and shelved the unread stuff which I normally avoid doing. Probably about half of the 150 books there still to circle back to. Might bump those up to my commute reading once the stack of Epics is a bit lower.
I’m doing exactly what you are doing, subscribing to this just to have the set of those spines. I have about 90% of everything they are advertising for the set, but I’m a sucker for Batman I’ll double dip. It’ll look awesome on a shelf!

In terms of being a conversation piece I have spine art going across 10 different comics based partworks and a 100 prose novel set, my library always grabs people's attention the first time they visit the house.

I am very familiar with all of the stories/books in the subscription but I don’t have any physical collection aside from a few minor key issues so this is great for somoen trying to get into collecting. Those connecting spines make it all the more worth it.. once the Batman books are done I hope they dip their toes into the overall DC graphic novels since eaglemoss did do some of those with the Jl and legion of doom as a cinematic connecting spine

Solid line of books. In Canada, one of our dollar chains got the books after Eaglemoss went under and was selling them for $5 (CDN)........over the 2 lines I have @ 250 books.
I've been seriously considering this,I have the floppies and the eaglemoss never finished which makes me hesitant, not to mention fanhome didn't give the subscribers to eaglemoss the chance to get the last 16 but forced em to start from 1 again
I was just wondering if anyone else’s experience with this has been as annoying as mine? I’m on my third installment and the free gift that was supposed to ship last month didn’t show up and they are saying it’s out of stock, which isn’t a big deal to be honest; however each month I pay for the installment and it isn’t showing as being paid and therefore doesn’t ship, after paying a second time and having to call email customer service they eventually update it and refund the money back and send it out…is it just me or has anyone else had any issues?

I've got the Eaglemoss version. We already know the exact make up of the Fanhome version is going to be a little different, Hush is shown in the promotional material as being across a couple of the regular books when that wasn't nin the Eaglemoss Batman havIng already been done in the earlier Eaglemoss DC set. The "specials" that were quarterly books in the Eaglemoss version also look to be a different selection. Out to work shortly but will message you on Instagram later with the contents of the Eaglemoss version as a loose, probably not exact, idea of what should be coming.
