As someone who loves The Last Jedi, I can kinda' agree with your take on TROS, it just feels odd, and has a ton of flaws that cause it to just collapse under any scrutiny
Cinnacal I found the movie very enjoyable. In my personal opinion I feel it was was the best of the new trilogy. With moments where I felt that I connected with characters on new levels. The plot was a little rushed but I loved seeing the new worlds and meeting old friends in the process. Also seeing where Rey is from, and finally understanding her backstory was very nice. The fight scenes were very well choreographed and even though everything was happening so fast I never felt like I was lost. So I don’t feel like this movie was a mess, I feel like JJ Abrams had a lot of ground to cover in 2 hours and I feel like he did a great job at doing that.
