      exactly... I have fibromyalgia and have known others like me and they had awful flares and are still in a flare weeks or months later. We already have pain daily. Why would we want it to be 10 times worse? That is nuts. Not to mention those with chronic active ebv or MS. Flares and worsening those issues are not fun.

      Agreed Sara. Note that other vaccine give whole virus which also has tons on mRNA, DNA, and several other viral stuff. Where this vaccine is only giving mRNA.

      It seems what would normally be Phase 4 is just the vaccine going to market under emergency authorization because of public demand. As a person with AI disorder in my late 30s who takes an immunosuppressive med, a potential Crohn’s flare that the current data cannot rule out as a possible side effects is more alarming to me than Covid-19. Great presentation!! I personally feel I need to see more DATA.

      @@trebleclefjones4899 I stopped getting vaccines at all because every time I got them I spent the next 6 months or longer trying to wean off the steroids I had to take to not suffocate. I have chronic BOOP so even a flair of nasal allergies sends my lungs into "kill Franchesca" mode. It's bad. I avoid anything that provokes an uncontrolled immune response with me. The irony is, I have much less inflammation in my lungs after having had covid. It's like, it partially reset my immune system. It's not all the way better but I'm not stuck pursed lip breathing to blow off the pressure in my chest near as much.

    Take your doctors advice and don’t forget to ask him/her why yes or no.
    I am on rituxan but have not taken my last does. My doctor advice I take the vaccine. So I will when available to me.
    Ask questions and remember this is a new way but not so new on how vaccines are made.
    Due to the pandemic the process was done differently not as in steps were not done but in scientists cooperated with one another.
    We have to understand that obviously our bodies will not cure us and people were re infected with covid19 so no our world has not reached a herd immunity.
    This is a world problem not just our country.

      will there be a rise in autoimmune conditions given the risk of immune enhancement? Nobody knows no long term data especially with the new vaccine subclass.
      How about the significance of epitopes of the S protein for the SARS-cov-2 virus that share similar homologies to our native human proteins? some short sequences that make up parts of the sars-cov-2 virus also share similar short protein sequences with human tissue...

      Precisely, I worry about long term inflammatory reaction triggering rheuma for years to come. I have hopefully another 40 years to live and I am generally heathy, unlikely to die from covid. Will I take the unknown risk to be in more pain because my body was triggered by the vaccin. I doubt it, if I was 80, oh yes the chance of dying from covid is higher (and life expectancy short, too short to worry about 'in 20 years time'), now I feel the risk for more severe rheuma is higher, why take the risk?

    Thank you for this video. I am what is called high risk patient, may be even more than average person on immunosuppressants. I’m on Rituxan for multiple sclerosis, and I’m an RN working in critical care. I’ve been taking care of severely ill COVID patients on mechanical ventilation where risk for aerosolizing is much higher. I’ve been lucky so far not to get sick. I got COVID-19 vaccine ~6 weeks ago (Pfizer vaccine). I had adverse reaction to the vaccine so I did not get second one. I understand that CDC doesn’t recommend second vaccine if you had reaction to first one, but I felt that benefits outweigh risks. I have reaction with Rituxan infusions and I’m always premedicated, and I get additional doses of Benadryl and Methilprednisolone when I start having symptoms of adverse reaction so infusions are always completed. Why something like this can’t be done with COVID vaccine?

    • @Myositis101
      @Myositis101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have a good points. Pre-medicating for minor reaction is reasonable with tylenol, benadryl or anti-inflammatory. But giving high doses of steroid can decrease the body's response to vaccine and can be counter productive.
