My 2008 Tacoma is on the cusp of 300,000. Always tried to change the oil @ 3000 miles. Usually succeeded. It’s got a new exhaust.Alternator went once. One new clutch. Changed plugs less than I should have. And that’s it. It’s a tank. Frame rusted out and Toyota gave me a new frame. The only thing that I wish would break is the god awful seatbelt alarm! It’s still going strong, and I don’t even hear it anymore after 13 years😀

Edit, i bought it brand new with 7 miles on it off the lot.

Wife's '09 CRV at 120k miles had its first engine light ever a couple weeks ago, P2646, an oil pressure / VTEC issue. All advice pointed to changing out the VTEC solenoid which I did (simple job but PITA to get to). The car was good for a day then set the same code again. Trouble is it goes into limp mode at 3k RPMs, gotta do something about it. Trying to figure out my next move.
Fortunately we have a driving school so there are other cars she can use, but we want to get this one usable again! Then one of these days when she gets a different car we'd like to turn this CRV into a training car for the school. It's been a great car and aside from MPG it would be an excellent training car.

I have one of those. Best car i've owned to date. It just works. Nothing more or less. AWD is a nice feature to have. Only things to look out for is AC Compressor failure, door lock actuators will fail, (not a bad DIY job), do the valve adjustment at 100,000 miles and change ATF every 30,000 miles.

My Camry has 300+ thousand miles and is all original, Ive never replaced a single mechanical part except the regular maintenance. My wifes Hylander has about 250 thousand miles. My fathers Tundra has 450 thousand miles. It would take a lot to get me to even consider anything besides a Toyota.

A couple of years ago I read about an Accord owner in Maine with 1,300,000 miles. I think other than routine maintenance he had the car painted. I think it was a '94 model but not sure. Honda gave him a new car. They got a lot of publicity and it was really a big deal as well as it should be and in Maine no less where winter can destroy any car. He did all his own maintenance. Gives me hope, my wife's '06 Accord has 160,000 and going strong. It's just a baby!

Them 2.4L four cylinders are excellent engines them and 1.8L are the best engines in my opinion. They truly are all in one type engines. 455,000 miles is an incredible amount. I don’t think it will hit a million miles. At least not without a new transmission and some internal engine work. Other components will go bad also, suspension and features etc. However, he definitely got his money’s worth.
