- Ahead of IBC 2023, German manufacturer ARRI introduced a new model in their class-leading SkyPanel series, called SkyPanel X. This new 2x1 RGBACL full-color fixture aims at multiplying (hence the “X” name) the set of features of its predecessors. We couldn’t help but stopping by the company’s booth for a hands-on look.

The reason of not releasing the Skypanel X earlier, ARRI: "We wanted to protect the investments of our users." Some years ago, let's release an Arri Alexa LF. One year later that, oh and we also have an Arri Mini LF. 😂Let's hope this won't happen to the Alexa 35!!
I'm sure i'll be adding one to my inventory of S60c's as soon as they are available in NZ
LOL! We can still light with a 12 bucks par can and some extra bucks for gels, diffusion and styro. No more than 200 bucks and you still get the same look. Of course, it’s no as practical as with the skypanel. However, if you know how to light, you cam get the same look without spending 7 grand + accessories.
Do you need the greatest and highest end light source to light your scene? No.
But to say that you can light a film set with 200 bucks and get the same look is trollish at best and stupid/naive at worst
@@AlmightyUniden you need to work on understanding what you read. Where did I say you can light a film set with 200bucks??? I said you can get the same look with 200 bucks
@@brucetrappleton6984 Regardless, 7K for everything that you get with the new Skypanel is extremely affordable
Why is the audio so overly processed on this video? Sounds like you ‘re on phones.
Loud environments tend to crush audio
What a ridiculous question. Can you see the environment they are in???
@@brucetrappleton6984 i can and I’ve recorded audio in that very space many times, and it never comes out like that. I think they used some sort of dialogue isolation and cranked it a bit too high.
@@sittingnow tbh with you, I don’t dislike it.
