The Manteca 4 is looking like a Dunk! I ain't even mad, are you? This looks a lot better option than the SB Force 58 atm too for that kind of style for a cheaper price tag.
You can’t even find dunks anymore without having to resort to raffles from your local skate shop. These DC’s are actually better than the ones from a few years ago that had horrible stitching and were stiff as hell too.
You should try the skateboarding version. If you look at the website you can see how DC makes a normal sneaker version (the one you have) and an other one listed under skate shoes. The skate version has a different insole and a "super suede"upper.
@@Damoforce You have the (synthetic) nubuck version (go on the website, under men/highlights/manteca, first one second row. Craptube doesn't let me post links ) The suede skate version has different colorways, (the first and second ones on that page and/or the only ones under skate/skate shoes) You might notice the presence of the word skate in the url and shoe name and different specs. Now the reason I say it's synthetic nubuck is because in 18 years of skateboarding I've never seen real nubuck in a skate shoe, even if it doesn't specify synthetic. On top of that, it would make no sense to use real nubuck over suede on something that is just gonna get rubbed against sandpaper. Anyway what I can tell you 100% is that that's not what suede looks like :D Not even remotely. Regardless, uppers will tear on cupsoles, I don't care how long it takes, sooner or later you will have to shoe goo them. I care way more about the insole, the impact alga one, not the one you have. Again read the shoe specs on the site.
good looking out. I noticed too that the skate version has white in the middle where the air vent holes are on the side. these do look like dunks though. I'm gonna grab a pair of the skate versions. think they look sicker too with the white in the colorway
Liking how these skate a lot. Get stuck with DC often because it's one of the few brands I can always find on sale in Canada. For once though, I'm not feeling like I'm skating a concession to a better shoe. I think these are actually extremely comparable to dunks. Down to the fact that I always rip the dipped toe stitch and need to shoe goo it. My big criticism is that they look cheap (but fast) and they feel somewhat tight for my size.
Love skating these. Picking them up for £35 here in the uk at the mo so have 4pairs on ice. Contrary to what you said re sizing I found them a little tighter than other brands for the same size.
@@Damoforce yeah couple different, favs are red white black. Trying stock up on gear before I move back to Aus next year. Shit looks expensive over there. Nice channel btw mate
@@Damoforce they are but, very nice also with fat baggys. Sometimes it looks so strange a guy/girl wear a fat baggy and have so slim skate sheos, for me terrible. But whatever :)
Cool video! Hope i can see a review of the Emerica MJ2 here, when Emerica made this possible. sub+ btw bro, what the cost i hear 140 160 etc wtf, where do you live? I paid 80€ here in gemrany.
Are those MJ2 old school shoes that kinda look like DVS and Globe had a baby? I'm in Australia, we also pay quite high for product as bringing stuff into the country is $$
@@Damoforce yeah it does relate to how kushy it is There also needs to be insoles for longer duration times (for like working) FP needs to innovate those
Why does the sneaker industry keep putting thick white rubber on all the bottoms of the shoes these days? It makes it look like they're for little kids..

One of my all time favorite skate shoes, happy to see it back!
I think alot may, it's a nice shoe and great value!

Yeah, they are hard. Highs are easy to get if that's your thing.

I'm keen for more colourways for sure!!

DC has more premium looks than most of Nike. But you know, nike is more famous
