    Nice demo and fantastic tone. The BB Preamp is my favorite drive pedal. Can't live without mine.

    What i really really like about the BB preamp, is that it gives you the open headroom blues sound even with the amp on low volume,, and then it's right there in the mix, like one big sweet spot, no boomie bass or "rancid" treble. It have been on my board like forever. And as always,, you are THE Demo guy Simon :o)

    Great as always, with absolutely gorgeous tone, Simon! and most of all, you kept your promise and made a demo for the BB ;)
    I love this pedal and also use it on the same settings. Thank you for another great demo! :)

    Simon, thank you for your time and effort to make such great videos. I keep coming back to your vids just to hear great tone, phrasing, and melodies. You are, w/o a doubt, best of the best when it comes to gear demoing along side with Pete Thorn, Mike Hermans, and Tom Quayle. Is there any way I can purchase your music? Solo records, band format, some kind of project, etc. Cheers!!

    I have one, haven't test it that much. Still thinking between using it as a solo booster on dirty channel or an overdrive on clean channel..
    Very good demo, thanks you sir !

      +SfaCtion Ben Thanks man. I agree, the BB works great for both clean and crunchy amps, I use it both ways too and especially live I have been boosting other pedals with the BB too. Cheers

    I do not understand why you have not a 100k subscribers.
    The only remark - white balance looks too yellow. I think it would look more professional if you make a little colder.

    Weel done; do you know the difference between this version and the Andy Timmons version? Thanks

    • @SimonGotthelfMusic
      @SimonGotthelfMusic  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vigilius60 Thank you. The difference is not huge, but the AT is a bit more compressed. I have used the AT for years and I actually prefer that version. Or you could go with the BB-comp where you have both versions in one pedal. cheers

    on your Les Paul. You're gettin lots of fret buzz

      Simon Gotthelf Gear Demos thanks for reply. I have had it for years, but to be fair I have not used it enough. Have been using Timmy for a long time, but think I will spend some more time with the BB. My RC though, will never leave my board. Think I just tried to say, that you make it sound amazing, and I just got inspired to give it another try :-)

    • @SimonGotthelfMusic
      @SimonGotthelfMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gos wo Great to hear that, Thanks man :) RC is killer too for sure. And the Timmy. Sometimes you just connect with certain pedal or sound and stick with it. I did that with the BB for years. Cheers Simon

      kosmicwizard well sure it says preamp on the cover of the pedal but it is really a classic very well made overdrive when you open it :)

    • @kosmicwizard
      @kosmicwizard 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimonGotthelfMusic yeah, I feel it goes well beyond overdrive into distortion, especially when pushed by an ep boost. :)

    • @SimonGotthelfMusic

      kosmicwizard definetly if you push it. It is based on the old bluesbreaker sound that would also go into great singing sustain when pushed
