Thank You for your review and advice. I just added the K-Ultra for pour over work, i wish it came with a screw on base. can not find it here in the us. At 74 i have been known to bump things when really busy. Blessings, Joanna
There used to be a screwed base version of the K-series grinder. We hope they bring it back since we know some folks really like the more stability. But the magnetic cup has been very popular and its not as easy to bump it off :). Have fun with the K-Ultra!
Hey, Ply! Thanks for the great content! In your opinion, are the K-max or K-Ultra capable for Turkish grind? And If so, which settings do you recommend as a starting point?
Hey, both are capable, but they are not very fun to grind that fine haha. Around 2.5 rotation (25 clicks K Ultra)) is the starting point. Range is usually around 2-3.5 rotation (20-35 clicks K Ultra).
I just bought one and I can not figure out to adjust settings. The white big numbers are obvious but where can I learn. I am a newbie to hand grinders? Like I would i get to 720 microns for instance? Thanks for this video!
Each hand grinder will be different, for the K-ultra, even when we say 720 micron, it will be a bell graph curve with the average of 720 micron. However, you would need to compare it against something like a brewler - which you can download from Kruve. PLEASE NOTE that the burr movement (1 click = 20 micron) does not mean the change in grind size of 20 micron. Ultimately you will have to play around with it a bit, and dial in with taste rather them micron size.
Hi thx for your video, maybe you can help me is it noraml that my K ultra has more than 10 numbers i mean that i can go over one full turn 0 to 0 + 3,5 = arround 13.5 ? thx
Hi! it is normal. Most people wont need to go over 1 rotation, it is super coarse in that rage, maybe if you are doing big batch of french press or cold brew it can be usable. - Ply
K-Ultra is better for pourover but can also make good espresso. Not a whole lot out there for hand grinder espresso, unfortunately. The J-ultra would be one of the best, as well as Kinu.
Look up Lance Hedrick. He has at least two or three separate videos on hand grinders that go into extensive detail about which is best for what type of coffee you brew. Many different brands, pros/cons, etc.
The consistency of the grind is super high with K-Ultra! Love it
We love it too!

@@roguewavecoffeeco Thank you so much for responding. I am so new this I do not even really understand what a click is 🤪.
What is a typical setting for the K-ultra for pour over vs drip filter coffee?
We use around 7.5-9, 8.5 being the most common.
喜歡1Z K-Ultra!
還在尋找等待新出一支1Z改款讓歸零動作能像泰摩栗子X-lite這麽簡單就更完美了。
that would be a good feature!
Do you know which model they are going to release ?

Any thoughts on whether K-Ultra is best for pour over or espresso or both? any competitor manual hand grinder that you recommend for espresso

Funny intro 😂
Не понятно ни чего
Get rid of the damn background music so we can hear the narrator without distraction. I chose to watch the video with the sound muted because of it.
Hi George, thank you for your feedback. We will keep your suggestion for consideration.
