It gave us a break from the trauma filled hood movies & it's one of the most quotable movies of all time & here are some fun facts: Red played by DJ Pooh wrote this movie and was supposed to play Smokey but the studio wanted a comedy/actor so Chris Rock was the first choice. He declined due to scheduling conflicts. F. Gary Gray the director of this movie fought for Chris Tucker to get the role because Chris Tucker was unknown at the time. F. Gary Gray was also the dude who kicked Ezell out of the store & he went on to direct Set It Off & other movies. The reason the relationship between Smokey & his mom was weird was because she probably had him at a young age. She was also in South Central. I would love to see new reactions to Next Friday & Friday After Next & R.I.P. to John Witherspoon, Tiny Lister Jr., A.J. Johnson, Bernie Mac, Lawanda Page & Michael Clarke Duncan.
Not to go on a rant here, but I don't understand why the studios try to stop reaction videos. I get it if the reactor just shows the whole movie, but as long as it's chopped up and edited they should support it. If I ran a studio, I would create reaction edits for all our movies. Some of the popular stuff would cost the reactor money to purchase and use. Nothing crazy. Then, if we wanted to advertise a movie or get some buzz going, we make it a free edit, or God forbid even pay the reactor to make a reaction video in a timely manner

The 4th Friday is labeled as Last Friday. A couple of concepts are that it would either be a prequel to the first as Craig and Smokey as kids. Or Craig's and Smokey's sons hanging out. Or I hope it will be at Pops funeral see what happens there
