    the most striking difference between cheetah and leopard is the black tear drop lines on the cheetah's face - from the eye to the upper jaw. the leopard doesn't have it. this helps to identify them easily because leopards have cheetah like spots on the legs so it might be confusing to use spots pattern as the distinguishing mark

    Greatest initiative by the Greatest Leader of India, please consider relocating the Cheetahs to a more appropriate dry location for them, The Gir National park. These cats are from driest part of the world and may not thrive in MP the jungle of MP is humid and wet almost around the year.

    • @nikhiltiwari9260
      @nikhiltiwari9260 ปีที่แล้ว

      Valid point!!!
      Actually the Kuno National Park was first prepared for White Lion that are now only found in Gir, Gujarat, and Kuno's geography and environmental conditions were better for White Lions than Gir, Gujarat. But Gujarat government refused the relocation because they didn't want to share their pride with anyone even after Supreme Court of India intervention. I believe, it is more of a plan-B than plan A. It's a sad state of affairs.
      What's more disturbing is the fact that both states, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, and Central Government is run by same political party.

    I'd like to add some points
    Cheetahs are fastest but they can't run more than 300 mtr at once
    They are not shy and don't stay camaflouged like tigers
    They are just like cat , and meows and easily tameable
    They don't fear human population
    These factors made them easy and fun target for hunting.
    Cheetahs were pet throughout the indian history, even old toys have been found of it.
    Rich people in Dubai still have them.
    Now the Gov Of India asked Iran for cheetahs which were closer to indian one in species but they wanted indian lions in return.
    India refused as only india has Asiatic lions left that too in gujrat only( even gujrat bjp govt of modi then refused to give lions to MP for diversification of gene pool which is very imp)
    As india didn't give iran lions they didn't send cheetahs , now iran has very few left due to poor conservation. Let's see how things go.
    We did splendid work in tiger population
