The entire Hawaiian island chain was created by that lava point. For example, Midway Island was once located where Hawaii is now.
a little more info.... the Hawaiian island of Kure is the most northern and the largest atoll on Earth, it used to be larger than the Big Island of Hawaii, its now 34 Mil yrs old and is at the 'Darwin point' in the ocean where coral fails to grow at the same speed as island sinks... because the plate rift is N-NW, once these islands hit that point they become sea mounts.. if the plate rift was E-W, we'd have hundreds of high islands... ps Maui Nui was also larger than the Big Island, it consisted of todays Maui Lanai Molokai and Kahoolawe with the submerged Penguin Bank (old shield volcano next to Molokai), .......now Maui is 1/6th the size of Owhyhee Island, aloha

After reading J Sai Deepak's 'India that is Bharat' , I am able to better understand how Western ideas, primarily the Christian OET have been engraved with the idea of Master-Slave relation between human and nature.
This similar relationship has been demonstrated in the mitigation effort, where the primary aim is to 'control' the course of nature, as if humans are their master.
That, pimple one example is best to remember and understand the volcanic 🌋 concept. ❤

I had to laugh when I first read "stop a lava flow" 😆. Glad you changed it to the more realistic 'mitigate'. The 2018 flow was in my neighborhood. Ironically, prayers have actually worked, with many solid stories of how the flow suddenly changed course. 🙏🏼🤙🏼🌋
What actual evidence have you which shows conclusively that the lava flow changed direction soly due to prays rather than conincidence?
