This brings tears to my eyes. I am so glad that we joined the war to rid this world of fascists, and landing in Normandy was the first major step for us to cleanse Europe of the vile Nazis (with help from many great nations of course!). To see this level of recognition and gratitude so many years after V-Day really makes me love the people of France even more. Je t'aime en France!
LordDonutz well.. almost 70% of german soldiers died in fight on eastern front. USA and UK sold their allies from central Europe in Yalta .. just on 45 years. To the comunists - soviets. Thank You! We, the Poles fought since 1939 to the 1989.
Happy to see that some in Europe still appreciate the sacrifices those from other countries made to rid the continent of fascism and ensure freedom. To the refugees causing the latest havok in Europe- we been there before and can come back to save the continent and our friends over there again...
Are you saying that Germany just were nationalist, lebensraum is just nationalism uh? Germany was fascist, also Hitler spoke that he mixed Italian fascism in is ideas. Is so dumb thinking Germany wasn't fascism lmao
It cannot be an M-36: 1) Torsion bar suspension rather than VVSS; 2) gun has a bore evacuator (post-war invention); 3) no turret bustle. M-47 or 48 would be my call.
this is a review of all emotion in a sherman ride on a plate! if the veteran saw it at that time, of course those who lived and pampered or even destroy view in their eyes and the worst abandoned in France they say at least this sherman and pride .......! .. and I added I am proud to be living as if the war had known we would have deprived our parent this time! my father was about 15 years, and my mother!
This may sound stupid, as there is probably an obvious answer, but on the (I think they are called weasels 7:11) Tracked personal carriers why is the highest elevated wheel at the back?
2:00 looks like M36 Slugger 2:10 M4 Sherman E2 Or E8 version 6:24 M24 Chaffee 6:55 looks like M7 priest transformed in transport vehicle 7:03 M2 MT ? 9:22 M48A1 / Patton III
It's great; perhaps the best thing about it is that there's no phony network TV reporter ruining the spell with the annoying sound of his voice. Thank you. And if you haven't read Endgame 1945 by David Stafford (2006), now's the time to do it!
0:21 that truck looks so happy! :D
Great video, thanks!
During the first 9 minutes, every time a heavy vehicle appears I wonder what's going to happen to that brand new Volvo!!!

It's belgium not france. But Netherlands belgium and the french still do appreciate the hard effort of veterans. Especially that of 70+ years ago.

Frostburn 12345 so mostly the Polish 1 st armored division, commanded by general Stanisław Maczek.
The little kubelwagen at the end was trying to be inconspicuous.

This may sound stupid, as there is probably an obvious answer, but on the (I think they are called weasels 7:11) Tracked personal carriers why is the highest elevated wheel at the back?
