Sometimes there just isn't enough left to make a full restoration, especially if the tank burned. This one shows the look of having burned. Also has the look of a Range Rat, an old target vehicle. It was also general practice to strip out severely damaged vehicles of anything still useful to be used to repair vehicles that were salvageable. The leftovers were often just abandoned.
maybe they can show it in a hull down position...that way the bottom can be hidden....y ou guys have a big task ahead of you....maybe have a lot of meetings :) btw, I have flown KLM often so perhaps you were part of the crew who made announcements - haha :)

It's really nice to save it from rusting away in a field, but I would've kept the E9 spacers, and fabricate duckbills for the tracks!
Mooi werk dat die gered is van het schietterrein. Kleine kanttekening, de naam "tommy cooker" (7.46) kreeg de sherman van de Duitsers.
