I just finished watching the return of our soldiers who were killed in Jordan so this is hitting me hard. I think about my two oldest nephews who made it home from the Middle East by the grace of God. My heart goes out to all the military families who have lost someone .♥️
So many reactors were brought to tears while watching this. Home Free treats the song with the honor and respect it deserves. They have immense respect for our military, veterans, and the men lost in war.
This is so frightening and sober when today was the Dignified Transfer of our amazing lost heroes. God be with them and their families now and in the days and years to come.
No beatboxing in this one. Their rendition of this song is so hauntingly beautiful & sad. The singing & harmonies are incomparable. The video features the American flag but the lyrics are applicable to the armed services of every country. BTW, Tim, Austin & friends do fund raising for at-risk veterans. I think you'd love their video "Everybody Walking This Land". Stay warm & well & give sweet Lyric an extra treat for me.
Every time I watch this and see the Joshua Tree It takes me to 29 Palms in the California high desert where there is a marine and navy base. Yes, in the Middle of the desert. I've heard many stories about it and have visited it once. My best friend was a maternity nurse there and she asked me to make a cover for a booklet for mothers and fathers who are grieving the lose of their baby. I drew an angel holding a baby with her wings coming around the side of her body as to embrace the child. It was and I hope still is a beautiful helpful booklet and it has gone around the world as each soldier and sailor moves on to another base they took the booklet with them. Everyone out their Loves and respects our service people. Yes it brings bake memories when ever I watch this d it brings tears to my eyes. Love and prayers my brother. May the Love of God be with you may his light shine upon you and may God's healing laughter fill your life.
Good timing, but then, there are too many times of military losses. It's a blessing to have such music to remind us of sacrifice and decency and honor.

I always liked the Dire Straits version, but I only got really interested in this song through Home Free. (Although I have to be honest I think Dire Straits guitar playing is phenomenal) Yes, this version of Home Free will send shivers through your entire body! This is so emotional. Beautifully sung by Tim and Chance, but the background and harmony of Adam, Rob and Austin is also so beautiful. It looks like a choir or actually a kind of church organ sounds. And the whole setting of the video is just amazing. Simple but with so many details that makes it so profound❤
