It's always a bit frustrating when people think that the chunin exam is a test for children and wonder what the older-that-12yo people are doing there. Iruka protested Team Kakashi going into the exam because typically the genin train for several more years before taking the chunin exam. It's very unusual for there to be so many rookie teams of YOUNG as hell ninja there. Rock Lee and his team are a year older than the rookies and had that extra year of training before getting thrown into the chunin pit. This test is simply to become a higher rank of ninja, it's difficult as hell and people do die. Also not everyone is gonna be a legendary level ninja, even people that are genin are useful to the village. I think most of the village ninja fall into the chunin rank. For Kabuto to have taken the test multiple times (and yet survived all that crazy shit) is pretty typical.
@@elyisusking3603 the actual chunin exams is just the tournament part. The written part, forest of death and the preliminary rounds are all to reduce the number of participants. Hiruzen did them because there were many people and because he reached a compromise with Iruka who was worried that his former students were not ready. Even if I'm wrong, it was shown in Shippuden that you can combine two teams to make one teams if members are lacking. We saw Sakura partner up with Ino and Choji. Neji was called the finalist of the chunin exams of the previous year.

I would call Sakura Blossoms a W episode for sure. It was a turning point for her character, one that showed that even though she may go on for a while unable to really do anything to contribute to the team, that does not mean she is content with that. I mean, its not her fault Kakashi decided to put all his eggs into one emo basket and ignore her and Naruto. Kakashi literally only taught them the tree climbing and when he did, she immediately aced it. She is a willing and bright student, her only problem is being abandoned and ignored by the person in her life who is supposed to teach her. Thank god for Tsunade coming along later and actually giving Sakura the time of day.

Everyone I ever talked to always said Kakashi was amazing, cool, hot, and it wasn't his fault he got dealt a rough hand of students. Which I think a lot of people forget that Kakashi literally chose to keep these 3 after years of denying the teams he was given, so even if it was rough having a civilian girl, the 9 tailed fox and the last Uchiha, he still had the chance to turn refuse them, but he didnt. So I dunno, honestly Kakashi just seems like a terrible person to have as a teacher. Even in Shippuden when he does teach Naruto something, he makes Naruto go to Assuma for advice and work with Yamato for the training while he basically just sat and watched or read. 😂
kakashi let tsunade teach her since he doesent specialise in medical or genjutsu. The times when he could help her he did, also naruto and sasuke are just simply much stronger than her and there is not much to teach her, she mostly learns on her own

He admitted he only wanted to train Sasuke because he saw himself in him. Nobody said Sakura HAD to learn medical ninjutsu either. Tsunade just realized Sakura would be good at it and taught her it. But back in OG Naruto, in the early days, they were all basically on the same footing, and Kakashi chose to improve 1 only and ignore the other 2. I'm not saying Kakashi is the worst person ever in the show, but he certainly is the worst teacher. Even Gai who favored Lee, gave his other 2 students training regimens based around their strengths to help them improve AND he held them back a year to give them extra time to train and get stronger. And Gai is like, the pinnacle of Teachers With Favorites.

Canonically, Itachi, Minato and Sakura are the only ones who have passed this exam without cheating and with the correct answers.

The Chunin exam is peak Naruto. The whole test is just a joy from the beginning. And if you consider it a tournament, it's one of the best in anime.
