I've been going through them and they are all awesome, plenty of formats and even 3 levels of detail. I am still learning to make things, but one thing I know for sure I suck at is making 3D models for assets. With these I can focus on making the game so thank you

However, we do not guarantee that you will be able to always re-download or re-access Content from the Epic Marketplace. We encourage you to backup Content you have purchased. FAB literally tells you to backup your content
Thanks for the heads up! Kinda weird that when you claim them, if you search in your library they dont come up, its only if you search from the quixel profile. It is early so maybe they just need to sort out some kinks, but cant say that doesn't make me a bit paranoid that Epic might turn around and do a huge middle finger that 'if you didnt download them, you dont own them' kind of thing. Although if they did that I'm sure there'd be a huge uproar. EDIT: And looking back at the video now, its weird that on the catalogue page it says the trees that were in quixel before are 'owned' but none of the other ones you just claimed are owned, only until you click on it. they are not added to our library yet, only few are marked owned when u press the first claim button, we have to manually claim them individually still those marked not owned

Any way to get something such as the Medieval Game Environment? Apparently not migrated to Fab and says only to get is from your vault... so not really true that we can get all the Quixel material 😕 Is there any place that saved these complete uprojects so we can still use them?
Exactly. There were Quixel Bridge Megascans and then there was Megascans on the Unreal Marketplace. NOT ALL were the same! For example, trees were only accessible on the Marketplace. I don't see many collections from the Unreal Marketplace
So just to be sure, do I have just to 'Claim' right now and I own them forever (can go back and still get access to that 'owned' library), or do I really need to download each of them just in case because something might change later on (even if I claimed them before the changes) ? I'm asking because I'm running out of space currently, wondering if I rush out to buy a SSD (or maybe a 8TB HDD to be safe) 😂
Officially unable to download any material/ asset from Quixel bridge. Has the plugin become useless then? So If I disable or delete the quixel plugin, does it affect the stored materials/ asset packs? Secondly, the fab plugin is not visible at Epic launcher page. Will it become necessary to download fab plugin also? Awaiting for your kind feedback, as always.
Next step, how to import nanite with proper mesh, does not seem to work as it did from bridge, which make sense as i am manually doing it, but im thinking i might be doing something wrong, but cant figure it out :( any tips for me sensei

I too did the scripted but from fab it didn't work. Maybe because I previously claimed them all. I only have the kits show up no individual assets that I claimed. And when I tried to download it unreal engine wasn't an option, only, fbx, png type files. I suspect it's an operator not knowing what he's doing. However I was still able to open Quixel bridge and download to my current project from there.

Thank you! I really hope when the plugin comes it will make it easier for us Linux users to download assets we have purchased. Always thought it was silly that they support Linux with Unreal Engine, but not the launcher. But the plugin could solve that problem, hopefully.

I'm staring at the "Medieval Banquet" pack in disbelief as to how much worse importing a pack into UE5 is now... It only offers a zip of .FBX for packs with more than one thing and it's just bare files. No materials set up anymore. No texture packing. Just like a hundred food items that are all white... This really sucks. Note that single object packs let you download as .GLTF or .GLB that do still import with materials and texture packing.
You NEED to go to the asset you want and add to your library, one by one. Its free access to assets till end of year and items you have "purchased" or added to your library remain yours, but after EOY then the unclaimed or linked items may not be free!? There was a script out to add all items from old site but that no longer seems to work.

I had the same problem and ended up restarting my computer which fixed the issue. You could also try accessing the FAB website from the epic website(didn't work for me)
@@patrikago This is some kind of joke! When I log in to the Epic Games website, I log in to my account instantly. But when I switch from the Epic site to the Fab site, the account is no longer there, and the message "Oh, something went wrong" appears again. Restarting the computer didn't help either.

T-Minus 6 hours before 2024 ends. I got this done finally because procrastination works. It was super easy. Sign in, press the button to claim and its done. like 20 seconds.

Im finding this whole thing confusing... If we claim all assets from fab, does that mean all the textures and assets that were free on quixel we have free on fab. Or do we have to add them all to library, or maybe download. I used the script to get all items from quixel and dont want to lose them. And so if we claim all assets we will have everything on quixel even after this year ends? *Edit Reading through the comments looks like we just claim all for free and have them ready to download forever, but I have a bad feeling about this. Did you notice any assets you purchased throughout the years you no longer own? I did, so I'm going back to Unity. Also seems I'm not the only one with this issue so I have over $5,000 in assets gone.
That happened to me, but i tried later and all assets i've purchased through the years are showing properly, in My Library section. It seems they still working on the page, it was offline for an hour or so.
I don’t think the script transfers ownership to FAB. Just head over to fab and click the claim button. You only have to do so once and it will claim the entire library!
@@lah4653 I managed to get the 18,000 via script though it took a few attempts. They still let me click the magic button but I figured they had the drops attacks and figured they could just make it easier.
@@SmartPoly can you please re-check this and confirm ? because even after you do that, it shows "add to library" button, and upon clicking only it shows "owned" ? My gut feeling that you still needed to individually "add-to-library" and rest only available free to add-to-library till end of 2024.. :/

Def kinks, they acknowledged the issue in the UE developer forum. And there's still 2 months for it to be fixed.

There are a bunch out there for this already. Unreal Sensei has several for each version of Unreal.

I think the plugin will be built into the engine, so it should just work out of the box

Its in quixel profile not fab library, they are working on so that they can bring quixel lib to fab

I don’t think it is as sure as the guy is in this video. Epic clearly says it is free until end of 2024, nothing more. But I may be wrong.

you can add them to your library manually one by one, but epic is working on a solution to add all claimed assets to your library

Is it true that once I make a claim, it is permanently free? Or can it be converted to a paid service in 2025 even if it is included in the library?

My Library on Fab doesn't show a majority of assets I own.... what gives?
now it shows. Maybe there is some backend load that has to happen for each user before everything gets displayed.

Only problem is FAB has horrible UI and no way to explore materials by categories like in Bridge...it turned out FAB was overhyped unfortunately.
Epic has a tendency to release stuff early, with limited features. So hopefully they will add it later

FREE to claim until 2024, then if you don't claim them, they won't be free for you in 2025.
After that, prices get attached. Buy them free now, or pay money for them in 2025

Did you notice any assets you purchased throughout the years you no longer own? I did, so I'm going back to Unity. Also seems I'm not the only one with this issue so I have over $5,000 in assets gone.
yep, I had the same issue. Took a bit, but I saw them appear later
That happened to me, but i tried later and all assets i've purchased through the years are showing properly, in My Library section. It seems they still working on the page, it was offline for an hour or so.
Sometimes I have to logout and log back in for them to show up.
Make sure to update us when Fab plugin comes available, etc!

I don’t think the script transfers ownership to FAB. Just head over to fab and click the claim button. You only have to do so once and it will claim the entire library!

@@chipko Guess they figured its either this or have bots semi ddos them claiming everything with scripts :D
@@lah4653 I managed to get the 18,000 via script though it took a few attempts. They still let me click the magic button but I figured they had the drops attacks and figured they could just make it easier.
@@SmartPoly can you please re-check this and confirm ? because even after you do that, it shows "add to library" button, and upon clicking only it shows "owned" ? My gut feeling that you still needed to individually "add-to-library" and rest only available free to add-to-library till end of 2024.. :/
