I loved the use of the lightsaber colours to reveal who was sith. That moment when they all lit up their sabers and they were all red gave me chills
Fun Fact: The idea of how the lightsaber colors depend on the user was an early concept in the comic adaptation of RotJ when Vader took Luke's saber and the color changed from green to red.
Yeah it a good concept but it just left issue why Anakin lightsaber was always blue to Luke to me I always felt blue was average/novice color for the Jedi and green is for the wise master/ powerful in the force Jedi.
@@jaieregilmore971 Again, its just a concept. A scrapped concept to be exact. It was an idea that George had in the 80s.
@@jaieregilmore971 George Lucas didn't know that Luke was gonna have a green lightsabre in ROTJ,it was made only so it could be differentiated from the blue sky on Tatooine,that's why Anakin's lightsabre was blue,it was the only colour a lightsabre could be.
The lightsabers changing colors depending on who is wielding it was such a cool and creative idea. Exactly the wacky things I wanted out of this series

@@Lexyboogie could easily retcon it with the concept of a sword smith mass producing sabers with tempered crystals instead of individuals bonding/bleeding the crystal
@@Pixel0429 thats what I was thinking. Maybe a specific way of tempering crystals that the jedi hadnt discovered before becuase they don't like the idea of experimenting with knowledge they are afraid of etc.

Normally 1 color per crystal. But they mentioned a specific method to temper or modify the crystals to change depending on the user. It's not a new concept with bleeding crystals, but it is a logical next step. I like it.
This one is a WIN if they were to choose an anime to stick with this would be a GREAT series
Of all episodes this one feels the most like an intro, pilot episode to a series. This is a waking call to the hero - Cara, and then there's the rest of the hero's journey ahead.

This one feels less like a reinterpretation and more like a legit star wars. If I were to come across this short randomly I would have believed that it’s canon. The story beats is so so Lucas. If you’re a rookie force user and get surrounded by six siths, it would be the scariest thing in your life. And that relief when Juro took a saber and it turned green… With a little setup, they can control the tension and release with the color of the saber. That’s really cool.
Production IG is one of the OG 🐏 anime studios and it isn't surprising they kicked ass. Plus in sub one of the characters is voiced by Zoro's VA from One Piece, which was so cool.
This could easily fit into canon, sometime "long ago". They even go out of their way to explain the force sensitive sabersmith modded the kyber crystals to attune to the user's Force allignment. Plus at has a great story, animation and interesting characters.
I actually feel like this works as a "in the future" series. It has lots of hints of Rey's theme in there so I think it fits better as a future series where the Sith and Jedi are ancient ideas that have been rediscovered. My head canon for a non-canon short is that the Force theme we hear in the Skywalker saga is a representation of that idea of the light side. Rey changes it based on how she interacts with the force so her theme is what the Force theme has become. I can understand people not liking that concept but I feel it fits with the changing saber color (like her's did in the Rise of Skywalker) and where the Galaxy is at this point. Don't think it is something that would go canon but I think it is something that would work.
It's supposed to play so far into the future that lightsabers have become lost to legends. That's why the jedi master has the fulcrum symbol too. But yeah it could fit into canon if they wanted to do so.
I like the idea of a ....saber Smith ? that makes sabers reflecting a person's alignment in the force. Think about it, you have a hidden sith and to weed them out you trick them into using the saber causing the crystal to bleed immediately. It also speeds up the coloring process each jedis go though.
When I saw this I thought the Margrave tricked her father into making Sith sabers until I remembered that Lah Zima said that he made it so the sabers were connected to one's personality and Force connections
This was a very well written one. subverting out subverted expectations with a subversion... and another subversion. And it all makes perfect sense. so fun.
I just realized you know the sabersmith is a good man because his saber is blue. But you don't know that yet because you don't realize that's how they function yet. By the time it does click they're in danger so you're just like . . Whaaaa noooooooo.
Loved that Simu Liu, in his spare time, he crafts lightsabers when he's not Shang Chi with the Ten Rings now. XD

I actually like his outfit and how he looks so much like a sith. So much so that I wish he never took off the mask. If this were a full fledged show or something, he'd keep the mask on for most of the season, only revealing his face in the finale.
Did you notice the fulcrum easter egg in this episode? It's not exact but that was definitely fulcrum and this is WAY into the future I think. Each episode has references but there are easter eggs too and I love them

This was the first episode I really liked. I had to look up who made it and of course it was Production I.G. I worship Ghost In The Shell.
17:12 I believe the animators mentioned this was set centuries after Rise of Skywalker. For Lightsabers themselves to have been lost, not just the Jedi Order itself, a time placement like that would make the most sense.
I could definitely see this story taking place many decades or even centuries after the Sequels

I read this is meant to be sometime in the far future post TROS. But again this is its own thing and can go anywhere they want with it. If they decide to follow up this story bec I'm so into it!
If I was making one of these, I'd have done it the same way. Set it in the far future or the far past. During the time of a different Sith Empire when there is no rule of two to worry about. I know they don't have to stick to the canon anyway, but I would still be thinking about how to have it make sense. If I was going to set one during the time of the movies, I'd be careful about making a new Sith. At least if they're using that name. They don't have to be Sith to have a red lightsaber anyway.
I could see this as a series. The timeline would probably put this well past Star Was saga of 9 movies we have now. The only issue I could see is another, different series based around an adult Grogu becoming a knight. But maybe combine them? The 9th Jedi, the Mandalorian Grogu with the dark saber is the last one to join up.
The changing color of lightsaber depends on its holder can change the full star wars universe.

they weren't "Sith" per se, more like master-less Darksider Acolytes, one can only be "Sith" if "initiated" by a Sith Lord or Sith Master....

Well this takes place long after rise of sky walker both the sith and the Jedi died out. So everyone here is really just sorta taking after them rather than really being Jedi and sith.
It's a good concept to have. Would love for this to become a Canon future Era for the franchise
When I first saw this episode the reveal of all of the “Jedi” actually being sith blew me away

Eu Luke lightening is call force judgement light side version of force lightening that was first by Plo Koon who lightening color was orange/yellow.
the ninth jedi I believe takes place far after the sequel trilogy if I recall them saying in an interview
At 06:06 I am thinking that he should say he is looking into real estate with Uncle Ben, Obi-Wan, Thomas & Martha wayne, Pa Kent, Jor-El & Lara among others on either Krypton or Alderaan, because they all know they have such long lives ahead of them.
I really enjoyed this one.
I was actually really intrigued by that episode, it's been pretty good and should at least get a miniseries to build upon this one.
