    Oh fuck me his name is a pun of "To Be One." Since this entire story was about him wanting to be a Jedi.

    I have a heart breaking theory about this episode and T0B1 in particular.
    I have a feeling like the master jedi always talked so fatherly to T0B1, and i thought that his padawan was murdered in order 66, but he found a way to put his consciousness in a cybernetic body. While he could not retain his full memories, T0B1 dreams of being a jedi, a particular human jedi that he once was, before being killed.
    Idk, i had that feeling and it made all the episode more heartbreaking. To me, because of that interpretation, it is the saddest episode of them all, mainly because it is more lighthearted in appearance, but it is darker and more tragic behind the curtain. I haven’t felt this dread since ROTS original viewing… like it is so so sad.

    I think TOB1 was a human padawan of the Profesor. his dreams are memories of his life as a human. maybe there are still human parts in that droid (as in the case of General Grievous) and so it may be force sensitive.

    Based on the childlike style of the animation, I thought I wasn't going to like it, but I think it's actually my favorite so far. Lots of heart!

    Ok so I grew up with Astro boy, and mega man so this hit home for me and the animation is great but the idea of droids becoming jedi is rare

      If it was cannon people would most likely have a problem with the droid becoming a jedi but since this isn't cannon I doubt most people will care.

    Yeah, it's an homage to Astro boy which itself was a mirror for Pinocchio. I watched the original 1963 series growing up, that and speed racer got me hooked. Japanese animation ruled my after school hours on the local tv station.

    my only complaint is wish they fully define if he is a cyborg or a droid

    • @anthonyyoutubefan7567
      @anthonyyoutubefan7567 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe, based on his visions, he's a cyborg/droid combo. In his memories/visions, he appears as a human preteen boy. I think he was an actual human Padawan of 'The Professor", and virtually "died", but, his Master found a way to retain his brain and consciousness and support it through his cutting-edge technological abilities. I also think he may be a make up of human genetics and cybernetics, combined with sentient (Kyber?) crystals known as Shards (the same as those that helped create The Iron Knights, in The EU/Legends).

    Why does a Jedi need to be made of "organic" material? Metals are also full of living cells. What about AI? The Force has a wider view of life than many humans do.

    • @Omn1Media
      @Omn1Media  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just going off of canon, it's only able to be channeled by organic beings.

    • @steveowen3155

      @@Omn1Media Where does it say that exactly?

    • @Omn1Media
      @Omn1Media  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@steveowen3155 Episode 1, there have been non-canon force sensitive droids but that was before the requirements for force sensitivity were defined by Lucas. Since this is non-canon, it's possible the Force operates in a different manner since they aren't required to adhere to the usual rules which is something I also admitted in the reaction :P

    • @steveowen3155
      @steveowen3155 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Omn1Media What do you think Episode 1 establishes exactly? Who is to say the midichlorians aren't active in "inorganic" particles, which we know very well are quite lively. The Midichlorians may be the way for organic beings to know the Force, but Episode 1 never says there aren't other ways for the Force to speak to living, conscious creatures. Science these days is learning in a panpsychist direction, which asserts that consciousness is a general feature of objects and reality. So yes, I think you're reading much too much of a ban on inorganic material here when that is never directly stated from Episode 1.

    • @Omn1Media
      @Omn1Media  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@steveowen3155 They literally say organic life and it's found in your blood and from the canon wiki, "Unlike organic beings, droids and other artificial constructs existed outside of the Force. As such, they possessed no connection to the energy field that was created and sustained by life" and George himself mentions that it's limited to the biological in the commentary for Episode 1 and any other time he's talked about them. I'm not reading too much into it. While we can debate what makes someone or something alive or aware, there is a clear separation from organic and inorganic materials. It's also based on mitochondria in our cells which also are only in organic organisms. Theoretically, It's possible if he were made completely out of or powered by a kyber crystal to manifest the force but as far as we have seen in, kybers react to the force and don't grant it.
