I’ve compared the “knock off sure fires” to my real one and I hate to say it but they work great and have stood the test of time, atleast 3 or more years and thousands of rounds, camping outdoors, tons of moisture, gun was wet etc.. still trucking along.
All day, Id rather buy a knock off of a good brand then a no name brand, at least if you get a knock off surefire for a pistol you still have holster options over a random 1.
@@EasternNCSportbikes the gun tubers will try and shame us as poors and convince us we need to spend $5000 to equip a rifle with top brands but from my experience it’s just not true. If I had the money, yeah maybe I would only buy top brand high price stuff but that’s not reality.
@@wrongone8378 704 has videos where he reviews them. I would point you in that direction. I can’t find info on the knock off surefire I bought years ago but 704 provides discount codes and links to budget lights that work great.

I've had one of these for 6 years now. 1000,s of rounds and zero issues. The mlock pressure pads for the sure fires work well with the pad..Great buy for the money.
They take surefire caps and heads too. I have 3 of them.

I had a streamlight Protac with the built-in laser. I think it was the HLX. The only issue with that one was that it flickered every time I fired, and that was only using a 556. I paid around 175 for it so for around 1/6 of the cost this one works much better.
You convinced me, I'm finally ordering it. I've been seeing this for awhile now. Figured it would be crap but sounds like it's reasonable for the price.

Notice that (1) the Assbyte light mount is only pic rail (not Mlok) and (2) the mount is an integral part of the light body. If that's what you want, great.
I'm not the least bit interested in anything Shtfire has, so I'm prepared to buy what I'm buying two or three times, if necessary. I can afford to buy a dozen other lights for the price of one Shtfire, but I'm betting it won't be required.

I have three of these they are great! I did get a rep mlok mount and rep mlok pressure pad and I have to say for my needs, the original is was overpriced for me. Also for anyone interested I bought a ir filter cap that goes over the head and works great under with my pvs14

Where'd you get the IR filter cap?
You can absolutely strobe this light without the pressure pad! Turn it on first (you'll hear the click), then lightly push the button for a strobe effect. Press it all the way back in (again, you'll hear the click) to turn it back off.

Anyone thinking about getting one. Get it. I've bought four, only after beating the first one intentionally and slamming it down numerous times to see if I could get it to break before ever mounting it. The m300 model is brighter than the real thing, the m600 is deff brighter than the 300 series, but not as bright as the the real m600. I have several real deal light and switch setups that i spent big money on, and the light/switch flickers when you shoot or rack the gun. The knock off light and switches do not!! Very impressed so far. Plus theres several knockoff mounts and switches that are compatible, and have also worked great so far.
People are too brand loyal, amazon stuff is good to go most of the time, i mean its a no lose situation cause even if its not u can return it easy af. Ive ran amazon stuff in classes and no one was the wiser.

Those lights are everywhere specially wish bought some and they didn’t last long but night another one from Amazon and has been running good so far , we will see in time

In your firing on the video, you tested the light in the daytime? Why? Also seems that 400 lumens is wimpy but without night demonstration, impossible to make an assessment. Not trying to pick on you just my observations.
400lumens just isn’t enough for that size and weight, I’d rather spend a bit more on an Olight, some people ignorantly hate on Olight for being too cheap, I love em.
Anyone interested in this needs to do themselves a favor and just get an Olight Gunlight (what they just call their “GL” model), it’s a far better choice and even comes with a laser.
You cannot says it's better until you've field tested them side to side. 400lumens is plenty in a home defense scenario or cqb.
400 lumens inside a home with white walls will already be too much.
There's a reason why all the old weapon lights were in the 350 range.
600+ lumen with high candela throw are for outdoor use.

For one thing, Feyachi is available in Mlok OR Pic Rail and is a "standard" diameter. I don't like all the extra hardware of their Mlok, but that's okay. Being a standard diameter means a 1-pc Mlok mount is $8. The light, with a Pic rail mount and Pressure switch is $50. When it arrives, I can choose my preference of mount with minimal hardware.
I’ve owned one of these for a few months. Originally bought as an experiment but got it and it was almost impossible to distinguish between it and my actual M300 so I treated it like it was the real thing and nothing the average armed civilian would do to their light is gonna break this thing. Probably not as much consistency in QC and I wouldn’t halo jump into water or take it to the sandbox but aside from that it’s a fantastic value and I’d put it up against Streamlight/Surefire
Except Surefire & Streamlight can actually take being put through water or sand, something I consider absolutely crucial in a weapon light.

Granted fine loose dust from the American south and the deserts in the Middle East are nothing similar nor is rain fully submerging the light but again: if someone chose to spend $30 on this light vs being in the dark bc they couldn’t afford $130 for a Streamlight; I’d still say “do it” because white light is literally one of the most important upgrades to a home defense gun
Does the light perform the same? Have similar amount of candela and throw? Have similar spill and brightness?
I would buy a couple but they run on the cr123 batteries and I have never had a good experience with those batteries in particular

OK, I ordered this right after seeing your video yesterday morning, and it came today.
I am impressed with it, and I am waiting on Strike Industries pic rail plastic wire routing covers to show up.
I wish there was a better option than the sticky tape to mount the switch, as I will have to place it over M-Lok holes.
I went back to order another one for my AR15-22 (this one is on a 5.56 AR) and they sold out, and they do not know when more will come in.

depends on which model you buy. there are clones of the DF, 640, M600, and Vampire. The light heads are not interchangeable with real surefires, but most tail caps are. Ive reviewed a few of these surefire knock offs on my channel if you are interested.

Just got mine in and its nowhere near as bright as yours and probably only 200 lumens not the claimed 400. When compared to the only 400 lumen I have a streamlight which I just got for my MP5 clone (most of mine are 1000 plus lumen surefires or streamlights) its easily outshined by the streamlight 400 lumen. Maybe they changed then recently?
you might have to use a 16340 rechargeable battery to get close to the 400 lumens. they are higher voltage than cr123a primaries.
you should get better runtime with that 200 lumens tho! lol. hopefully you wont get the step down in brightness as fast or heat as well.

I always look at these because they have many different mounts styles and sizes but I worry will it work when I need it
If you’re worried, spend the money on a sure fire.. otherwise if you want, get one (it’s only ~$30) and test it yourself and keep it on a fun range gun and if you feel confident use it or buy another. I spent alot on a sure fire for my AR and love it. I also have these knock off ones and have thousands of rounds of 556 through them and they’re still trucking.

nah the 18350 is too fat to fit in the tube.
16340 rechargeable will work. olight ones are easy to find. a lot of companies wrap their brand name around sony, panasonic, lg, etc... and upcharge
i ordered the 2 cell and 1 cell but different because this one now is not available until march and i want to test my 16650 keep power batteries in it. i love 2 cell e series lights
@@jacobmanalang8162 thanks for the heads up. I bought the two cell version for that exact reason. Rechargeable cr123a substitutes tend to suck. But I have a few keep power 16650 batteries. It works and will be perfect for the 22 trainer.
Definitely will be keeping my eye out for those batteries and if I can find some good ones I will probably try to get the single cell light.
@@MichaelStroup i had a good run with the orbtronic 16650 a few years back and dont know if theyre still available but my keeppowers are still going strong.
i think the sanyo 16650 is probably a unicorn at this point but probably whats in the orbtronic and keeppower lol.
i am tempted to see if i can get away with a the single aa body from malkoff, and checking performance with aa primary, 14500, and panasonic eneloops in single cell form. man id be okay with 200 lumens and that big qd twist knob.
i think that would be the ultimate survival light for runtime and battery compatibility. not super high performance, but runtime with good output should be decent for most uses. the 60 lumen surefire was revolutionary at one point!
