Every character David Morse played was compelling, even in the smallest role. As a viewer you always believed that that was either who you were going to root for or if he played a villain, the one you wanted to see get their comeuppance in the end. He may not be an A-list actor, but as a character actor, he always put 100% commitment to the role.
I loved Dr Morrison. In the mid 1980s I was Luther working in the ER at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I was assisting and rarely thanked. The residents showed gratitude the most and I was at the bottom of the barrel right with them. I related to this show and felt less alone since it was there. I connected with the characters and had a silent desire to smack Dr. Craig.
@drsuessl The housekeepers work their asses off. I always made sure they knew that I noticed. I often found out that they had noticed me doing my Psych Whisperer thing. Sometimes we saluted each other by exchanging eye rolls. 🙄
First time I watched St. Elsewhere it is a good show and I loved it, it's my mom's favorite show my favorite character is David Morse as Dr. Jack Morrison because Dr. Jack Morrison tries to save peoples lives and he has feelings he cares a lot about saving lives.
Lugar a DAVID MORSE Y LE SIGUE TOM HANKS DIOS LOS BENDIGA LOS ADMIRO GRANDIOSOS QUE SIGAN BRILLANDO EN CUALQUIER AMBIENTE CONGRATULATION !!!! 🤗❤❤😍😍👏👏👏👏👍👍👄👄🥋💜🙏😷😷😇🤗💜💓🙌🙏👏👏
At the beginning of this featurette , Jack lets off steam to Dr. Annie Cavanero (Cynthia Sikes). Annie was a regular on the series and then, for no reason, she disappeared. Such a shame. This happened to other actors as well (Joan Halloran, etc). Did St Elsewhere have a black hole for actors? Thank goodness the great David Morse avoided that one.
Amazing! I remember some of those scenes including the one with the teen girl.
David Morse is wonderful.
Brilliant show - years ahead of its time. Was never afraid to experiment with unique storylines and characters.

I hated him in “Dancer in the Dark”, sign of a great actor. I loved everything he’s been in
David Morse is an amazing actor..I have enjoyed so many movies that he has been in...good medicine indeed!
he was a better and nicer doctor than I ever had on St. Elsewhere. This was a great show

There should be a Dr. Craig compilation DVD put out as well.
And he would agree!😽❤️
An old surgeon from Mass General Hospital was much like Dr Craig. I saw him head butt another surgeon back in the 70s.

Let's all remember Bruce Paltrow for St. Elsewhere and The White Shadow and forget he spawned Gwyneth.
David Morse is a tall drink of water
I think he should have won a best supporting actor Oscar for his role as Mike Webster in Concussion.
Curly hair suits him
