I like to make “sushi salad” by using rice as the base then adding the other ingredients, usually avocado, carrot and cucumber matchsticks, bits of nori, crab or shrimp, soy sauce and toasted sesame seeds with wasabi and pickled ginger on the side.
Thank you. Every day I have to open a can of cat food and I've been using my fingers to pull the tab. The tab lands at the 2nd joint, which has now become sore and stiff. Now I can still feed my cats without hurting myself. Hugs to you!
@@Ammut6 - never heard of a double sided skewer. I opened my can tonight, had to use a knife cause my spoons don't fit thru the hole and I was amazed at how easy it was. Really had to restrain myself from opening 30 days worth of cat food, it was tough but I did it.
@@susanlisson7066 - I've noticed that too. Tonight when I opened the can the halfway point happened so quickly that the lid flew off the knife, my spoons don't fit the hole. Guess I'll have to learn control.
If you freeze your honey, it WILL NOT CRYSTALLIZE. I was given a 5 gallon bucket of honey years back. That guy told me the trick for long term preservation. I divided the honey into quart mason jars, I inch at top. Screwed lids, placed in freezer, I’m still using it 8 years later. Just as fresh, and it has not crystallized at all.
If at any time you happen to have crystallized honey, just warm it up. I put the jar into a bigger contain of hot water NOT boiling. Don't crack the jar by heating it up too quickly. Or you can micro wave it on LOW
Question: my large container of honey crystallized, if you heat it up, and freeze it will it stay like when you first purchased it?? Or am I doomed 😢 Thank you
@@andreakramer4159 I THINK I tried that with one jar, and it worked, but did tend to crystallize faster than others once left out. But, it’s worth a try. You got gold in that thar bucket….gotta save ‘er! But, all in all they should freeze well. Cheers
I usually microwave corn on the cob wrapped in plastic wrap for about 2 minutes and turn it over after 1 minute. I’ll have to try the paper towel method.
Love watching your videos! The sushi is genius. Honey in the freezer! Yum. A delicious trick to butter hot corn is to take soft butter smothered on a piece of soft white bread. When the corn is done wrap the buttered bread around the corn to coat it w/butter. The hot corn makes the buttered bread warm like a buttered roll fresh from the oven.
If you do, pull the leaves back and remove the silk and inner leaves first, then pull the outer leaves back up around it. Otherwise it will go cold while you clean it.
i have begun a DIARY of helpful hints in typed form. For this reason a translation following the video would be an absolute help in my efforts to remember these hacks. My memory is very shaky at best and some of these are not only great ideas, time saving, and healthy, I AM trying to remember to use them regularly. PLEASE CONSIDER A WRITTEN TRANSLATION OF THE HACKS FOLLOWING THE VIDEO.
If you have a tall container, fill it 3/4 with hot water. Add soft but in the container. The butter will melt and then simply dip your corn in and remove. Buttered corn.
I put the corn in the microwave with the husk on it for 3 minutes per ear. No more than 3 ears at a time. Delicious! Peel the husk back and you have a handle.
If you leave the corn in the husk and microwave it for the 2 minutes it will cook you didn't waste paper towels and you can take the corn out of the husk without any trouble and take the silks right off of the corn as well all you do is cut off the ends when it is finished cooking
You really make me smile, always look forward to your videos ❤
Looking forward to sharing more great content with you! 😊❤️

Take care🐾😊
I use a metal double sided skewer to open my cans of cat food. Will be trying this spoon method though.
I always find the lid gets tougher to pull off at about the halfway point. It’s a really great & much safer way to do it.
