Another fantastic episode mate, I’ve heard very good things about Japan Airlines and their service and well kept aircrafts. First of all I’m excited the fact that your flying on the Dreamliner which is an aircraft I love. those flexy wings are just magical and I’m boeing at heart. Wow well done Japan Airlines and as I said I’m not surprised, Everything looks stunning. Qatar’s first/Buisness class lounge is just out of this world, it’s so beautiful definitely doesn’t look like a lounge more like a first class hotel lobby or Art gallery. Fantastic episode 😎👍👋

I like this review. I especially appreciate reviews from people who have flown a lot of FC or BC because they can compare and contrast, unlike other reviewers who haven't and just think everything in BC is "fantastic". Lol.
There is some reviewers who are actually very tough on airlines in BC.. I’m grateful whenever I fly there, specially on long flights. So I shouldn’t complain. There was a time when I could only dream with it.
I really like the videos you put up. True significance of an Aviation experience lover! I have travelled from Hamad Airport many times and I have to say it is one of the best in the Middle East for now. The new Zayed International Airport is also really good, but I feel it lacks the experience factor which I have got from Hamad. I do agree that there have been certain issues. The next airport which I think is really an experience is the New Bangalore Airport, it’s a masterpiece of architecture. I’m yet to travel to the west and east Asia. Thank you for your videos, it’s thru your videos that I get to travel business and first class😄😄

In 30 days I will be flying Qatar Airways from Dallas to Singapore through Doha for the first time. I can't wait to experience the QSuites and have views of Europe from the skies. My usual route is AA and JAL code share flying the opposite direction via NRT/HND. So the Al Safwa First lounge is courtesy of JAL business class and not Qatar Airways right? When I flew JALs premium economy, they included access to AAs flagship lounge in Dallas.
Great review, but it also begs to question why don’t the big 2 Japanese airlines also fly to DXB/AUH? They would get my monies. And another remote bus stand, lol. The stark contrast between the most luxurious lounges, but still having to ride a bus to your plane.

My top 3 favorite airports (not ranked) 1. IAD - Washington Dulles has a very amazing terminal design, albeit rather unorganized 2. DOH - Hamad is very modern, though crowded 3. BWI - Baltimore is very easy to get through + it's my home airport

I’m Platinum with Qatar Airways, maybe that’s why.. The best way of getting in there is flying Business to/from the Middle East. Those flights count as “First Class”

It is mainly for connecting passengers via DOH. Almost all OW partners lend a hand in helping QR. That's what partnerships are for. Win win for OW frequent flyer like me.
Incredible product! I believe JAL is somewhat underrated as compared to the likes of ME carriers or other "Skytrax 5 star" airlines out there. They seem to be way better than ANA.

I wasn’t expecting the voucher at all.. The only option at that time are taxis! Also Emirates has a complimentary bus to downtown Tokyo, but that’s about it..
If you were flying business class, how’d you have access to Al Safwa? Also, the seat on Jal is cramped. I’m not sure how it’s superior to the reverse herringbone on the QR 787-9.
I’m Platinum with QR, so I get access to Al Safwa. The seat is the same as on QR, just different modifications and the door. But JAL has way less seats on the plane and the most comfortable Economy Class of any airline operating the B787. They’ve got a whole placed seats 2-4-2 abreast and not 3-3-3, thats so many seats less!
I’m happy you enjoyed your experience.Mine earlier this year with them was fine..absolutely nothing special.The seat great,the service a little robotic but the food was truly awful.The quality of the western meal was awful.The second (pre arrival) was terrible . Again they are polite and it’s truly hard to complain if you are lucky enough to be up front but after watching your video,it really struck me that different experiences happen with so many things that depend on so many things.
Western meals in Japan are quite a miss in Japan.. I always go for the local things. And regarding the robotic, yes, it’s something that happens often in some Eastern parts of the world. But it’s a service many expect, while an informative service suits others best, like me. On this flight they were very professional yet they adapted to my cultural expectations too, so I loved it. So yes, you’re right; it depends on 1000’s of things!
Hopefully JAL offers halal food on this route.Usually Japanese airlines aren't the most considerate of local customs as we saw in the ANA NRT-DEL flight review.
Before watching this video, I knew that, despite not having flown either airline as of writing this comment, of all the Oneworld airlines serving DOH (BA is the only Oneworld airline I have ever flown but from DXB rather than DOH), while Qatar Airways outshines most of their Oneworld partners, Japan Airlines is the only Qatar Airways Oneworld partner that can match (or even out-do, in some cases) Qatar Airways.
I would love to take that flight but; it’s far.. and expensive.. I always have to depart and return from Dubai, so I don’t get to go all around the wold at all.. But who knows!
