I used to work for a Japanese company and enjoyed my trips to Tokyo. I used to fly from Heathrow to Narita. I loved the people, the food, and the culture. My son vacationed in Japan last November and travelled to the better located Haneda airport. Again, he loved the experience.
I have flied from Haneda to Heathrow on the identical route by ANA the other day. Your great records really reminded me of that long flight visually! As JAL said, this unique northeast route is so adventurous and fresh by flying over Greenland,Iceland to access to England from north shore of Scotland.Unimaginable approach from Japan to UK!
On video it looks stunning but being there is so much more beautiful those northern lights and on those spectachlar views over mount fuji just stunning then the ongoing inflight service just fantastic. Thank you for posting this spectacular inflight clip of J.A.L. flight.
What a beautiful sky… incredible, and what a view from the passengers seat being able to see it from behind the beautiful Dreamliner right-wing… just perfect in so many ways🇯🇵😊
Flew that same route only to CDG instead of LHR about 2 months ago. Absolutley beautiful and very cool to experience the polar route. Did not see any northern lights unfortunatley. But nevertheless, an awsome experince
What an amazing flight, one in which I would really love to do, however (unless I win the Lottery) it is something out of my reach. An epic flight of endurance and wonder, much more interesting than Trans Siberian. A Sunset and Sunrise, the Northern Lights, crossing the Int'l Date Line and Polar region. I have to say, the lack of a proper second meal has really thrown me on what must be one of the Best Airlines in the World. I know that this is a hefty flight fuel wise, I am shocked. Wonder if ANA are the same? Fantastic Video 🎉
Beautiful video. I'm also surprised that they only gave you guys a sandwich as your second meal on their 14 hours flight. I flew United from Singapore to San Francisco this year. They gave two hot meals and one small light meal on its 14 hours flight.
Ouch, they must’ve messed up the catering for you. JAL does serve the 2nd meal as advertised on their menu (I’ve had it when flying JL43 and JL45) so you just got really unlucky. I think it’s possible they messed up the catering roster because there’s two daily flights, (JL41 and JL43) and JL41 receives this type of service due to the late departure and early arrival.
According to JAL website, there is pre-arrival meal on JL43, as Nov menu: MUJI × Well-being, Tomato Keema Curry, Sixteen-Grain Rice, Marinated Squid, Matcha Bavarois. Very strange.
Very generous leg room for Economy. Interesting flight routing. I flew back from Narita on KLM, a few years ago on a daylight flight via Northern Russian coastline. Just south of Zemlya, Murmansk and dropped toward Amsterdam through Finland. Is this now the usual routing ? Longer though it is. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful video. But I am wondering if you were resting when the 2nd full meal service took place on this 14 hour flight ? Back when JAL flew NRT to HEL (9.5hrs) and overflew Russia, I was served lunch, midflight snacks and a full prelanding meal. It seems strange that for an Ultra longhaul flight, that JAL would serve lunch and then only a small prelanding snack. I would like to think that JAL have not made this cutback.
That second meal would be a deal breaker for me. That was 100% unsatisfactory. Other than that, it seemed like a perfectly enjoyable flight and those northern lights...wow!
@@bar10ml44 Perhaps. Of course airlines want to claim they care about the environment ...therefore providing less catering cuts down on food waste + cost of the cardboard boxes and eating utensils. Mind you this is Y class. Buy a premium ticket and there should be little change. TBH it's been like on the transatlantic for a number of years already. When once a Y pax might expect a full breakfast ... nowadays it might simply be a muffin, juice and coffee/tea.
Many airlines serve two hot meals in economy class on their long haul routes though, especially so for flights to/from Asia, so I do think it was an exception this flight.
@@oryxflyer Indeed. It could have been due to insufficient catering loaded in error. Also these HND-LON flights are operating at maximum range of the 777-300ER so I wonder if it was necessary to reduce take off weight (on this particular day owing to wind speed etc).
Unfortunately, the JAL Boeing 777-300ER has been retired from the Tokyo - London Heathrow route as of 1 Jan 2025, replaced by the Airbus A350-1000.

飛行機から見るオーロラすごい幻想的で綺麗です🤗✨
I love this video thank you! Japan airlines are fantastic ❤ thank you for sharing
Cool route and good airline
very cool. some day i would like to take a JAPAN AIRLINES flight to London.
日本の歌手 中森明菜の北ウイングという歌があります。40年前の歌ですが昔の飛行ルートに戻る時代が来ようとは思いませんでした。当時のJAL成田空港発ロンドン行きをイメージした曲です 一度聴いてください
Fantastic work. Great new report. Thx!

This one Is a B777

Yeah I was looking forward to some great food due to JAL’s reputation in economy but was left a bit disappointed
I think 💭 Singapore 🇸🇬 airlines is much much more better then united airlines
@@GauthamVishnu-x7p yea it is but it’s also much more expensive
Plus it’s easier to get seats with points on united

Excellent report. That is JAL off my list due to the catering. One meal and a bun for a 14 hour flight? - I don't think so.
Hola,, podrían poner subtítulos en español,, felicidades me gusta sus videos,, gracias.

Interesting, would've loved that meal after 6 hours on a bread roll!

Yeah this is just the usual route that all carriers use now for flights to Western Europe

Its possible but I did not sleep the last 3 hours of the flight. The snack was served while we were still over Greenland.
great video. Did tyou check in a bag? It seems like the subway is the most affordable way to get to the airport in Japan? How much did it cost?
I checked in 2 bags and it cost 500 yen to get from Shimbashi to Haneda, so quite cheap.
Damn flaps 20 takeoff
L-am văzut Marea Beaufort lângă Oceanul Arctic Luminile Nordului Aurora Borealis lângă Groenlanda și aterizăm în Aeroportul Londra
Beautiful flight review, the northern lights are very interesting.
離陸時のフラップすごいことになってるな…
Who let one rip on 6:17min? 😂
pOR QUÉ NO SWE TOMÓ LA RUTA HACIA EL ESTE?
Rare flaps 20 Takeoff
I’d be scared flying over Russia lol

This flight was on Oct 16th , why you upload very late , yahha sinwar was k8lled October 16th. 2024
I flew on the 19th, been quite busy :)
Is this a new 🆕 route between Japan 🇯🇵 and uk 🇬🇧
Crikey ! JAL has operated Tokyo-London for many decades. NH has operated Tokyo-London for over 30 years.
That second meal would be a deal breaker for me. That was 100% unsatisfactory. Other than that, it seemed like a perfectly enjoyable flight and those northern lights...wow!
14hours flight, only one meal service and 2nd meal was just one bread? That's shame
They used to serve a 2nd meal
You didn't block people's face which that is a privacy for Japanese
That so bad a bread roll for a second meal service....j.c.how tight major airlines need a kick up the ... Seriously
Indeed. I mean it's not as if fares between Tokyo and London are inexpensive.
Friends doing the Qantas London Perth flight arrived hungry. Cost cutting?

You should not film people without their consent ! It is very impolite...
bad food service.
