A backing track generator that can react to your playing and jam with you would be amazing indeed. But you would need to make it run in real time with very low latency, that's a big leap for a generative AI.
Anything you create can be copied too.. not by talented musicians that transcribe your music and show you respect for your artistry, but anyone with an AI tool. It cheapens everything This is just the beginning. This tech advances exponentially. It’s a nightmare
I think it will cheapen the recorded music which is already too cheap considering how much you have to work for making a record. I hope that AI generated music will raise the appreciation for live music and artists that put the time and effort into learning the real music.
