Since I discovered Suno, I have become much more productive, many ideas that I had stagnant I have been able to develop with this tool, I generate ideas and then transform them to what I want starting from scratch, because the sound quality generated is still far from being polished (luckily for us) and then from the material that Suno gives me, I build, perfect, develop or implement your idea in my composition... And it's really fun, it's like having someone else, giving you ideas about what you want to do....

Same! Been creating vocal tracks for unfinished songs from 10-15 years ago and it’s so much better than what a person could do (believe me, I auditioned numerous vocalists for the same songs). I call it “virtual collaboration”, which is a term I hope can be widely spread. And for everyone who assumes that I must be having it write songs for me with minimal effort, my new answer is “if I told you I played keyboard, would you assume that I’m just holding down one key and letting the synthesizer do all the work?”. Cheers!

This was very interesting. As an elderly musician and producer who's seen it all I agree with your idea that musicians and producers need to work with the latest tech to raise their game. However, useful though this technique may be, I imagine the AI will have been suitably upscaled by the end of the year. It's only a matter of time before someone designs a DAW that runs entirely on AI, and does it at any bitrate and sample frequency you like, rendering workarounds like this one obsolete.
[One last thing - I'd forgotten all about Band in a Box! I had no idea it was still a thing. Looks wonderfully retro. I must check it out!]

Hmmm. Looks to me you're not able to combine the STRENGHTS of the 2 programs. I want the SOUND, especially the vocals (high fidility, granted) of SUNO, with the FLEXIBILITY/ADAPTABILITY of BiaB.
Because you can't put a chord structure in Suno, right? So that's not a good basis. And you can't create soul vocals in BiaB. Sadly.

As you can probably tell from my username and channel how I feel about Ai generated music, even though I'm a musician. At the moment, I'm not recreating the tracks because of the nature of my project. It would take too long to build the kind of catalog I need and the quality of Suno V3 is good enough for TH-cam listeners. But I do plan to use Suno to compose songs that I will recreate and I wonder how many professional songwriters are doing exactly that right now. When it comes to copyright, they simply won't say that the music was Ai generated and because they recreated it, there isn't any evidence of it.

I finally understand how non-artists feel about low-quality AI art! As a comic book artist, I'm always baffled by how people can't see the obvious issues with AI-generated images. It's like me trying to read sheet music - I have no clue how to differentiate notes, haha!
On that note (pun intended!), I'm a professional comic book artist but a hobbyist animator. I was trying to use AI music for my animations, but wow, I didn't realize how bad it sounded!
Question: Could I use JJazzLab 4 instead of Band-in-a-Box to import and edit AI music in my project, making it clean and clear? (Yeah, just gotta struggle through with this until I can afford a real musician.)

What’s the purpose of music? It’s about evoking emotions. Can a song make you feel excited, melancholic, energetic, or sad? Can it make you stand up and dance? Can it make you reflect on something substantial? This should be the aim of music. I feel like many people wouldn’t care whether it’s AI generated or not. As long as it makes them feel something.

I take it you’re not a musician or a song writer. You do have a point. It’s a logical straight shootin point. You missin so many things. Let me give you just one. The reason AI can creates the music it does is something I bet you haven’t thought about. The AI regardless of what site you use is not a musician either yet it creates music, it’s not a singer yet it create vocals. And how do you think it does that exactly. Well in a split second it takes all the music of the genre that you want that has ever been uploaded to the Internet keep in mind these are other people songs there are mostly copywritten songs made by professionals songs made by amateurs song made by people and it puts it in a metaphorical blender and juices out your song. Have you ever wondered why these songs that you were making online are almost if not free and maybe they charge a couple bucks for the service but not the music. It’s because we’re going into uncharted areas and no one wants to get the first lawsuit. Everyone’s testing the waters.. so it’s very easy for you to not musician that has never put as many years as musicians to write a song, and not only to write a song, but write a song that is copywritten and selling, be taken and used as building material for all the songs that AI is creating for people. So you wouldn’t care. That doesn’t matter though because musicians do. And yes, it does matter where the come from just like it matters where diamonds come from, fortunately, for children, no one cares about them yet because people buy their products every day from China and India because they want shit cheap and people love their shit.. but still no one wants diamonds mind by slaves. Who gives a fuck about children, right?

@@willnada I get your concerns about the ethical implications of AI-generated music, especially when it comes to the use of existing musical data. The idea that AI "steals" data from other artists raises valid questions about intellectual property rights and artistic integrity. Especially since data are a new currency and will increasingly become more valuable. AI companies should never be allowed to use data from artists without any permission. If they did, legal actions should be taken. However, it needs to be pointed out that the use of existing musical data in AI-generated music is not unique to this technology. Human musicians have long been influenced by the work of their predecessors, drawing inspiration from past compositions and building upon them to create something new. Have you never been inspired by other artists? You don't need any AI to find a lot of elements from pre-existing songs in recently published songs. Even without the use of AI. AI uses data from artists, yes. But artists do, too. sense,
That being said, it's crucial to address any potential copyright issues and ensure that proper credit is given to the original creators of the musical data used by AI algorithms. This could involve implementing licensing agreements or developing mechanisms for royalties to compensate artists whose work contributes to AI-generated compositions.Ultimately, the goal should be to strike a balance between fostering innovation and creativity while respecting the rights and contributions of artists. There could and probably will be partnerships between AI companies and artists. They already exist.
      The future is here.
Let's hope it will be rather a blessing and enrichment than a curse.

@@Adan_Ivory of course I’ve been inspired but I don’t have a blender. . . these are two different scenarios
for someone that is not trying to copy a song. In one scenario I’m inspired by a song as I’m jaming with the song I go off path and find melody after melody that are not in the song but inspired by the feel the lyrics the production the chords. And when I make the track, the chords might even be exactly the same but they’re gonna be the same in many songs, because popular music cord combinations, are reused because there aren’t enough courts. But everything that’s created is original.
The second scenario is I sample one second . I used part of the song in my song let’s say the piece is not even a second long. am II infringing?
If someone hears the tree fall
You better believe it’s going to exist.. so if someone else catches it especially the right someone you’re gonna be paying up. But that’s because I’m human I’m not capable to splicing up 1000 songs 1 million songs 1,000,000,000 songs to come up with a song out of that only a machine can do that except the machine is built by a human so it’s just a tool used to do the same exact thing that we just said was illegal. And that’s OK?
so the take away is the better the tool you have to do something illegal the less illegal it becomes?
I’m not sure I’m ever going to agree with that fallacy.
It only looks like magic because nobody knows how it works but it’s just tech

This is exactly what I thought when I tried AI for the first time: it could be really useful for some hint for new melodies. But is it really THAT useful? I can embrace my guitar and extract 100 melodies everyday if I want, maybe with only one that I really like. On the other hand, my brain goes in certain ways either for genetic reasons or for the music I've been exposed in my lifetime (it doesn't really matter what it is...), the AI could help thinking out-of-the-box...maybe with band in a box!

If you use RVC you can take the vocals you've separated out from the music, and swap them for a "real" singer. The programme will follow the original vocals exactly but with the new voice. You'd want clean up the original as much as possible first, and it does keep things like accents, but if you want to use the same singer in multiple songs then that's one way to do it.

Audio Chord Wizard: With a simple chord structure such as C, F, Am, D, G etc. - and then always nice and well-behaved with just one chord per bar... this may all work quite well, but with jazz chords with many tensions (B♭maj 7, C maj 7♯11, Bm 7♭5, F9♯11 etc.) and then with a somewhat more complex rhythmic structure, none of this works anymore... You're ready for the mental hospital afterwards...😅
