    To keep in mind : In a master-detail relationship OWD of detail is controlled by master object and cannot be changed .
    Hope it helps.

    I have been searching this type of video/content since days. Let me tell you, m a salesforce developer, but even then I lack in security terms which are carried out in salesforce. I have seen all your security videos, and yes they are really useful and i dont think you have missed any of the things regarding security in SFDC. I have really learnt a lot from this particular video. I was totally unaware or had a misconception about OWD. But you have made it real clear and easy. Thanks a lot. Some points i want to highlight:
    1. What is manual sharing check box in OWD ?
    2. What is "full access" and from where it is set (video timing 43:45)?
    4. There is a limit on creating sharing rules on a particular object i.e. i think 50 or 100. Dont know exactly. Try to add this in your video.
    3. I think you have not mentioned how a record is shared with the help of code or you can say sharing a record dynamically.
    It would be real easy if you create video based on this in your security playlist.
    And again a big thums up to such a wonderful, easy, 100% security covered video. Hats off!!

    No Doubt that your content and theory is good but I would suggest that ..Give more practical demo for each and every point you explain... So that public can have better understanding of concept.... Well Done.

    • @SalesforceHulk
      @SalesforceHulk  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Swetketu, thanks for your feedback. Can you please elaborate that what do you actually mean by practical demo? Is it more practical examples/scenarios or the demo to show how it gets implemented?

    • @shwetketurathod7494
      @shwetketurathod7494 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Salesforce Hulk yes More practical scenario would be helpful to understand whole thing clearly... For example if you are explaining that by doing so and so it will not allow user to edit then for that you can show demo that actually doing that we are not able to edit record....... Practical demo always long lasting in our memory.....

    Hi SalesforceHulk, thank you for the great conent
    2 questions
    1) you were not able to find "share" button for the record in lightning , does it mean that manual sharing is not possible in lightning ?
    2) if we share a record using RH, sharing rules, manual share and if the user profile does not have access to the object ..the user will still NOT be able to view the record.. is my understanding correct ?

    Thanks for great explanation. I have one small question, suppose manager doesnt have access to an object at profile level but his subordinate has access of create and edit the record of same object. OWD is private , in this case weather manager can see or edit the record or not. your reply will be appreciated.

  • @hemantachandra6962
    @hemantachandra6962 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice start but bit confusing, so after going thru different site what i understood is the object/Field level security say if you can access that object to view/create/edit/delete record or not, however, record level security try to say is whether you able to make changes to record that you donot own... please correct me if I am wrong :) cheers

    please explain what are the uses of public read/write/transfer and public full access.....Thanks in advance!!

    • @unboxingcheck
      @unboxingcheck 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Public Full Access:
      This option is available for setting the Campaign object only along with other access options. Through public access the user can have the ability to search records, reports, add related records, edit details of the records and can delete the record.
      When the Campaign object is set to public full access, all users in that organization can be able to view, edit, transfer and delete.
      Public Read/Write/Transfer:
      This option is available for Leads and Cases objects only along with other access options. When lead or case objects are set to public read/write/transfer, then all users can view,edit, transfer and report on all the case and lead records.

    I have a few question. Since sharing button is not available in lightning so will the user will actually be able to see the record in lightning experience if we have created manual sharing rule.
    And second question. So if record owner gives full access to another user then he'll also be able to share the record using manual sharing. My question is how can we give full access to another user?

    At 7:45, you say Record level access is determined by combination of Obj, Field and Record Level (most restrictive wins). Then at 8:33 you say only Obj level and Record level determins access(most restrictive).... So is Field level security comes into consideration or not?

      Make the case object private, then no users will be able to see each other's record and then define role hierarchy and sharing rules, so that same profile user's can see each other's record .
