Its unlikely that it will be release in 2 weeks for a couple of reasons. 1) 2 of their main backup dancers/choreographers have X Academy classes scheduled at 5pm on August 22. That means they would not be available to perform that day. 2) I would not think BP would release a single while Somi is still in active promotion on tv for her single. Don't expect the song to be released until the last week of August.

I love watching someone's first reaction to Blackpink, no one is ever ready for the awesomeness that's about to go down lol. Entertainment at its finest. Also I don't know if anyone already mentioned this or not but all of their Music Videos are very high budget. They don't use any green screens and all the sets are built from scratch. Blackpink also have behind the scenes making off videos to their M/Vs so you can see how impressive it all is and how much fun they have shooting it too.

"HOW YOU LIKE THAT" is about coming back from a bad place stronger than before. Rosé, the silver-haired singer, is portraying Persephone, daughter of Zeus in the beginning. According to Greek mythology Persephone was out gathering flowers when Hades, God of the Underworld, saw her and dragged her down to the Underworld to be his wife. You see her alternating between being pristine, surrounded by flowers, and how she became, grey and dirty, looking up at a hole from the dark Underworld. She is angry and wishing she could get back at him, which is where the first drop comes in. (by the way she was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is where Spring and Summer came from!)
The message in the last scene was that BLACKPINK, like the Trojan Horse story, are going to emerge and surprise the entire world with their music. If you look closely at the last scene with the two Trojan Horses there is an organic looking map of the world on the inside of the dome.
HYTL is completely based on Greek mythology. Each and every scene if u study. And the lyrics are just next level. They just bash those haters in every line and in the end with the trojan horse and the world map, they take over the world.
They actually have a song with Lady Gaga its called Sour Candy

(Just subscribed, by the way) Just wanted to say that I was kind of like you. I was into Pop, Rock and Rap and I always thought that K-Pop was "cutesy", girls all wearing identical outfits singing sugary Pop songs. The first K-Pop song I ever watched was BLACKPINK too, back when they first debuted in 2016. Just like you, my jaw dropped.
K-Pop is MUCH different than I expected. The closest thing I could compare it to, and I don't know if you're old enough to get the comparison, but it's like MTV used to be when they first came out, when people cared about the PERFORMANCE. K-Pop is not just about singing. It's the entire presentation, singing, dancing and visuals which, when combined together, make you feel the song more than if you just heard it. Most American videos are just the artist singing their song, which I always accepted as normal. And it's fine too. But after seeing a lot of K-Pop videos I have such respect for the genre and enjoy it so much more than a lot of Western artists. Coachella is not the largest music festival in the world. Certainly bigger are: Pol'and'Rock Festival (Poland. The old name is Woodstock. In 2011, it gathered around 700,000 participants). Sziget Festival (Hungary. In 2018 it gathered around 565,000 participants). We would probably still find larger festivals than Coachella ;)
