As others have mentioned the Netflix documentary Light Up the Sky will help you immensely in understanding K-pop and Blackpink. It is a very different world than the western world’s music industry. These girls trained under a Record Label about 5 years before they were allowed to debut.

Most reactors who started with Blackpink makes it big when they continuous churn out reaction to their MVs, their dance practice, their documentaries and reality shows. Subscribers jumped to thousands and 10s of thousands in a matter of one or two months.

Technically, they all debuted in 2016, as Blackpink. Jennie and Rose' had appeared in songs by artists with their label (YG Entertainment). Jennie, Rose', and Lisa have all released solo projects, Jisoo is supposedly coming out with one later this year. Jisoo also starred in the drama "Snowdrop" earlier this year.

Jisoo is not actually an actress, but now she is considered one because she played lead female role in the kdrama called SNOWDROP. Blackpink is great and you should definitely check other music out from them such as "as if it's your last", "lovesick girls", "ice cream", "du ddu du ddu" etc :D. They just dont have as much music as they deserve to because their stupid company YG is very strict and doesnt let them release music often.
