I love it. Your ability to create such a dense detailed environment as well as your incredible set pieces, from the plane parts, creature takedowns and entrance are amazing. Good work I assume this is for the challenge if it is you got my vote.
That's really nice coming from another builder that I admire. You have a special building talent, so it's always nice hearing that. I didn't plan on entering this to the sub challenge. It doesn't have 5 vendors so I don't think it would qualify
Thanks Ken! I fell in love with the airplane pieces when they came out with USO. I used them here and at my Taffington boathouse build. I'm glad you liked the build.
Oh, I love the suitcase table! I will have to try that! The airplane piece fits perfect at the top too, made it to where you didn't have to do any repairs, or if you did, very minimal ones. I love that secret cubby hole in the back there. lol, The Sand Bar..with lots of sandbags, lovin' it :)Love all the junk decorations and details, as always. A really natural build, I really enjoyed this. Though I do have to affectionately tease you about the "one" floating bed...lol :) lovely work, hope all is well my friend.
Likewise Denise. You constantly have the most original build ideas out there! Thanks for showing the containers build. It's little ideas like yours that set off sparks in people's imagination and help the community build cool and original set pieces. :)
Aw, thank you Smi! You are so sweet, you gonna make me cry! It was nice to see you in the stream earlier! Thanks again, you really made my day with that comment, my friend :)
I'm super late commenting on this but I love this build so much... you know I love the airplace pieces lol, the one in the water with the food area looks well cool. All the decorations are really well placed & the amount of detail is crazy!
No worries Emily, it's always nice to see comments like yours no matter when I uploaded or when you see my walkthrough. Glad you enjoyed the place and yeah your airplane builds definitely helped with the airplane idea I've only seen you and I really use them in builds so far but I love them so much. They add a lot to the place I think. Thanks again for the nice words!
Very cool dude! Love the aeroplane parts, they make for a very striking and unique way to use the space, particularly on top of the bar. I also liked the scaffolding wrapped around the buildings. It reminds me of SarDeliac's barnacle concept. Impressive detailing too, I shudder to think at the patience that took! Everything fits in well and makes sense. A great job.
That's really nice to hear from you! I really liked building here and it was fun to watch you, unobros and a few others building here at the same time as me. It gave me lots of ideas and concepts to pick and choose from. I'm glad you liked that scaffolding. It actually wrapped really nice around the building without much mucking around
I like to keep as much existing junk and structures as possible when I build a settlement. I like to get a feel for the place and how it was developed over time and when I add to it I try to really make it look like it was possible for the settlers to make. Other than my first build at Jamaica plain I think I've established a very lore friendly, realistic looking group of settlement walkthroughs
I'd noticed a lot of the original mess was still there. I've been doing something similar lately. Looking at whats already there, both in terms of buildings and lore, then using that to come up with a concept. Most of the big things I've done assume that the Minutemen are working towards an NCR type goal after the story is complete, so big projects make a bit more sense, (Hospital, Prison, Military outpost), but they would need more than just a few settlers to build. Egret Tours is kind of a blend of the two in a way. The Super Mutant camp I built at Coastal Cottage for Strong, grew out of the existing environment pretty well too.
It also gives people a perspective and familiarity I find when showing off the build. That way people might see what you've built and be able to better imagine building a similar structure at the same location. Does that make sense?
Red vs. Blue, eh? ;) Very much enjoying the way you've used scaffolding here, and I _love_ the pallet/plywood ramp combos you've got everywhere; really creative way to get variable-height steps. And haha Dogmeat's like "lol whatevs" after the fight. Overall this is extremely well put together--it's busy and complete without overwhelming density. Just the right balance of set pieces, and just enough "stuff" without being too much. Gonna be appropriating more than a few things from here. :P
I always enjoy reading your comments and what you take away from the builds. Red vs blue? Is that a reference to the power armour workstations? That was a shout out to the nuka world swag! I thought it'd look good in that addition to the warehouse I could have kept decorating but I was worried about the frame rate Anyway, thanks again for the nice words!
Hit wikipedia and check the "Red vs. Blue" entry (I'd link it but it'd go to spam); I thought it might be a nod to that. And yeah, what generally catches my eye are things in the center of a "that looks friggin cool" and "damn I wish I'd thought of that" Venn diagram. Those pallets and boards, the slanted scaffolding ramp as a half arch, and the way you used the Prydwen piece as a covered walkway with the string lights all qualify. :P
This is awesome. Seems like a theme everyone has been building here. You, Dark dalley and Darth Xion all have a build here. Dally unfortunately has yet to post due to technical issues, but He will figure it out. Looks great. I have never been here on either of my saves. Probably wont for a while just got so many other places im hitting first. I should have The slog posted next day or two keep a look out
Yeah this place is so big it's perfect for a trading post. The lore is that it's a training ground for all of my provisioners! I look forward to your next video
quite the eccentric bunch of settlers there! so is this like a provisioners camp set up to train the newer recruits how to fight when out on the road? those airplane pieces really came together nicely. Think I'm giving that Deathclaw kill to Dogmeat tho. lol
That's exactly the theme I was trying to make here. This place is so big and open I thought it would be a perfect spot to train my provisioners for their dangerous travels. I'm glad you got that feel from the walkthrough I absolutely love those airplane pieces. I think they looks so good
Thanks! I really did try to get as many settlers as possible (there's 14 wondering around) and the caravan post really brings in the provisioners and Brahmin! Glad you liked the build and thanks for all the positive comments!
It is deffenitly a different take then what I see a lot of others do. I'm a bit lost on how this flows together yet still seems to work but that is just conflict with my personal style. Makes me want to change approach. Great build.
Yeah this is and Somerville place were large settlements for me to build. I usually go with smaller areas. I was going for a caravan/ travellers outpost. Again, I kept all the existing junk and tried to cobble things together to make it look like it’s been built up over the years. The airplane pieces were the first thing I placed and then built around that. I tried to make it look like the plane crashed there organically as I could. Glad you enjoyed!
My Smi Phoenix recommend I watch your videos. After thousands of hours playing I'm trying to learn to decorate better, and build a little scrappier. I never noticed the Cicadas in the background before.
Phoenix has a bunch of great decorating tutorials. She crams so much into her builds. It pretty impressive. I like decorating with junk. It always makes the place feel more lived in
I subbed to Sar Deliac awhile back, led me to Fallout4guy, so I subbed him. he led me to you. So I subbed you as well. Funny how things just chain together. Monster Barbell and Werty Perty as well. It's hard on a ps4, but damn if you all dont make it look easy.
Thanks a lot for the kind words! I’ve been watching SarDeliac progress with his builds since the very first few. He really added to my enjoyment and experience in Fallout. His builds and lore are top notch! And then came along Fallout4guy and began really showing original and super detailed builds. I have spent many hours watching and rewatching his builds. If you’re interested I specifically built my Red Rocket settlement after watching his amazing RR build. Check them both out and see what you think! I even gave him a shoutout on a blue vault crate ;) Anyway enough rambling! Thanks for supporting all of us and enjoying the builds!
Well off and on I've been working on this build for about 2 months. I basically had the structures built fast but only had a few hours here and there to decorate so it took a while. Not sure where to go next... any suggestions ?
Thanks! You're not the first person to suggest I build a BOS theme. Only problem with that is the prydwyn is scattered across the air field and most members are either dead or missing in action. ;) Ad Victoriam this Danse!!! Haha any favourite locations of yours? Maybe like a secret recon bunker build at hangmans alley or murkwater?
I love it. Your ability to create such a dense detailed environment as well as your incredible set pieces, from the plane parts, creature takedowns and entrance are amazing. Good work I assume this is for the challenge if it is you got my vote.

This was awesome! I loved what you did with the plane! Such a great idea! It fit so well and didn't look too artificial
Thanks Ken! I fell in love with the airplane pieces when they came out with USO. I used them here and at my Taffington boathouse build.

You know I will always love whatever you build :)
Likewise Denise. You constantly have the most original build ideas out there! Thanks for showing the containers build. It's little ideas like yours that set off sparks in people's imagination and help the community build cool and original set pieces. :)

I love it when things just work like that. Makes it feel like the right choice.
I like to keep as much existing junk and structures as possible when I build a settlement. I like to get a feel for the place and how it was developed over time and when I add to it I try to really make it look like it was possible for the settlers to make.

Wow, this place looks amazing. I especially love the airplane pieces. It gives the settlement a completely unique look. Awesome job!
Those airplane pieces add so much character to the build and really gives the illusion like it crashed there when the bombs fell!

I will be using those pallets and ramps a lot more. They're just too perfect!

epic build Smi!!! now I see why it took so long to build. well worth the time
Glad you liked it!
Awesome job homie. I love what you've done with the plane parts. Very lore friendly.
Thanks Bry! Glad you liked it
Wow! Smi, this looks awesome. I've been steering clear in using the airplane pieces but after seeing what you've done, I might give it a try. :)
Ah you really should! They give the feeling like it crashes there when the bombs drop. I really like it

Hahaha Dogmeat with the save!
damn. I'm ordering fallout 4 on amazon on Saturday, and I need to try this with a settlement
Right on. There's lots of great builds to get ideas from on TH-cam. Hope to see some builds from you in the future!
My Smi thanks
Great job! Sub'd :) Looking forward to the next video!
Very Nice! It seems like a bustling little village with a lot going on. :)

@@Mysmi Yea you nailed it. makes me want to change things up a bit. Next build going a little scrappy👊
This place is great and I love your armor.
Thank Jan! Glad you liked it

Why is it settlers never want to share their bed with anyone?
I dunno. The people at the railroad HQ are bed sharers though

BOS outpost build. also I love how you ad lots of clutter.
Thanks! You're not the first person to suggest I build a BOS theme. Only problem with that is the prydwyn is scattered across the air field and most members are either dead or missing in action. ;) Ad Victoriam this Danse!!!

Ok I'm looking forward for a Tour of that settlement
