Embraer is made in a third world country and it is extremely unsafe and unreliable! Embraer is on the verge on bankruptcy, Boeing did a favour to save them.

Four years ago I flew in an Emirates 777 and when attempting to land the first time, we were told that there was 0 visibility at Dubai airport and that they had to try again in a bit. Well, that "a bit" turned into 2+ hours of circling Dubai but zero visibility did not change. At that point the pilot announced that he needed to land due to being low on fuel. Everyone on the plane was a bit freaked out. We felt the plane descending for a while after that, and at one point all of a sudden we started hearing loud noise of engines reversing. We had already landed!!! No one in the plane felt that landing, how is it possible that such a huge plane landed in 0 visibility so graciously and smoothly!? Must have been the combination of the best pilot + instrument landing system + the best plane ever. Ever since then I always try to fly 777 if I have a choice, even if I have to go through a lay over/change flights. And since I love the previous 777 planes, Boeing better make sure that no shenanigan/nonsense (such as in 737 max) happens with 777X. Good luck to 777X first flight.
I think boeing have changed aviation big time with the 787 Dreamliner as the 777x and the 747-8 are both based off the 787 and all 3 of these are revolutionary thanks Boeing
The Concorde and the original 747 were revolutionary... the 777x, 747-8 and 787 are evolution of aircrafts. Maybe the 787 for using many composite materials but for me that's no revolution...
@@timlolxP I respect your opinion I saying about the Concorde and all that but I am probably younger than you and I have never seen a concorde or the original 747 but I do like both aircraft I still think the 3 plane i said are revolutionary because of the fuel efficiency and with the 737 max 10 and 737 max 200 are the most efficient planes to this day
@@markdrysdale8371 for me revolution means changing something completely, do something which was never done before... maybe the 787 is a revolution, with an untouched fuel economy for it's time. But now there are also an a350, the a320 neo's (wich is arguably the better aircraft compared to the 737 max) and an a380 wich is more impressive than the 747-8 for me. The 777x, 747-8 (also a350 a320neo for that matter) haven't done something new, they are just some refined models of already existing aircrafts. That's why I'm saying evolution. But it does not really matter it's your opinion and that's ok ;)

The system design refers to the system robustness against failures; MCAS was susceptible to erroneous data from a single chain of angle-of-attack sensor to ADIRU to FCC to motor. This can be alright for some systems, but MCAS had far too much authority and no cutout that could improve safety.
Can you explain why most other planes have winglets (or even added them) to increase fuel economy and stability you have tips that fold down to a flat wing? I am confused and can't find the answer anywhere. Thanks

Someone obviously loved Star Trek Voyager's variable geometry pilons!!! Tbh I'm surprised they have named one of the planed planes Voyager yet. It would be VERY popular.

The 777 is my favorite aircraft and I have been on many from the 747, DC-10, to the A380. I read a book on the 777 and I was amazed.
