I've always found rimfire to be an excellent training tool and with the equipment we have today sub moa from some factory guns is achievable and that's enough to get people addicted....... people like me....,
Very glad to see you do this regarding the .22lr. More of relative material would be great. Get those two you own out and discover the real challenges of shooting the 22lr.
It's my understanding that the difference in Lapua's ammunition lines is the equipment the ammo is made on when the top of the line ammo falls off spec they use that equipment for the SK line and retool for the good stuff ?
They don't retool anything only when the dies are worn out. All the ammo is produced off the same lines as xact its just graded differently. I've been to lapua test center 3 times and was told to try and test the long range and super cause that's where Midas was going.
really great guy! ...like most of your guests! .... this time very poor sound quality when Chase speaks.... especially for me, not a native English speaker... I've been following this format for quite a while! Really really good! Compliment! Respect!
Chase and Kestrels would be awesome. Eric you would be way ahead sending your 22's to Lapua or Eley to test lots of ammo. And learn how to read lot numbers. It tells you the fps and the machine that made the ammo. Which machine made the ammo can make as much difference as the fps does. Dies wear and size of brass/rim thickness change. Find which machine fits your chamber the best and then the best fps, and then you know how and why to use your tuner.
Actually no he isn't. Is chase stroud a top br shooter? Hell no not even close! 22 br shooters have used tuners for well over 20 years. These guys are absolute hacks when it comes to 22s and tuning
The March Genesis 6-60x56 has 114 mils or 400 moa of elevation adjustment. With a 30moa rail, this scope might take a 22lr to 1000 yards. The scope has no internal adjustments, only external.
Interesting. That makes sense to my brain. Personally, since silencers aren't an issue here in South Africa/Namibia, I'm going to try the APW Little Bird Tuner. It's a silencer with a Tuner on it. Not sure how precise the adjustments are though, will check that. I have their Tuner and Warbird braked silencer on my .308 and it works a charm.
Our biggest plate we shoot at 300 is 8” the smallest being 4” he’s talking about hit a 10-12” plate like it’s something hard at 300 we have a bunch of guys including me that go 7,8 out of 10 on the 4” at that distance lol so fun check out our long gong page
Chase and all these long range guys have zero clue how to tune .22s br shooters have used tuners for well over 20 years. And yes I'm in the top 30 in shooters in the nation in 22 br. You guys are clueless and it's funny to watch yall struggle
I would love a pod cast with him just talking about kestrel but another great podcast
Like the podcast. Lot of information. Thanks
I wish we had something like this in Australian, the courses would be great
Excellent video!!
Wow, amazing how many different classes Chase teaches. Definitely will be taking some in the future.
Wonderful!
22 long range is a lot of fun! I have a simple Savage MkII with FX no limit mounts. I can reach out to 400m. I miss more than I hit! 😂
leaving Erik so many times stunned :D
That ELR stage he talks about was bunk. Like huge kink your neck/ back to get set up. I think I got 4/6 on it

Please have Tim sellers on again. Would like to hear about rimfire tuning
Definitely Kestrel and Ventusky episode.

I vote to bring back and few more times. Maybe a talk thru kestral 🤷

Hmmm. Getting tips for RMAC next year.
Get some.
Chase, when using MV temp tables in a Kestrel, do you need to use a trued velocity for each temp entered?
More 22 content!
I want to try a structured barrel

Will the closed caption feature help?
There's a lot of cuts for some reason. As a native English speaker, the cuts were annoying to me, as well.

This man is right on with what he's saying

How bout doing a episode with Hart rifle barrels

Mark and Sam afterwork have a video taking a .22 to 1000yds, but I can't remember their scope setup.
Cool, thanks for the I fo
My Vudoo V22S loves Midas + but it is now unattainable. 😢
My AD in Alaska at sea level at -10 is -6500 ft. LOL
Does Chase run his own shop?
Yes. Link in video description.
Get to know your kestral
Tuners on 22's : you need finer adjustment marks for a 22, slightest rotation makes a difference. Test it, half a hashmark opens a group...💥⚡️

Lol no it doesn’t. IF tuners even work they would be less sensitive to settings compared to centerfire
They wrk but mine def isn’t close to that sensitive
Aluminum is nonferrous, it doesn't spark. lmao

So he told you all of that 5 minutes to answer "yes it's repeatable between shooters on a good barrel" lol

“Top 30”
Is that good?
