I don't often target the evening Sockeye Salmon in the Brewster pool as the morning bite is far better and much more comfortable but it can produce fish.

Love all of the info. Thank you. It would be nice to see what you do with all of the fish. Can, freeze, cook ect. Keep it up.
Best intro ever.
Me: Tying up hoochie rigs for my upcoming Brewster trip before bed.
Also me: waking up and watching Spilt Milt video where he says hoochies just arent working at Brewster this year.
😢
Ive had pretty good luck on the hoochies. Pink, pink and clear, purple. Kokanee sized
@@jasonhurdlow6607 just caught several on pink hoochies a few days ago
i was just there this weekend, orange micro hoochie, pink smile blade 14" behind solid chrome dodger was hot for me!
Had the same issue when i was up there last week. First night there I did some evening fishing and had 4 bites but none of them stayed hooked up. Fished the next two mornings and was done with limits at about 7 and 8 am respectively. Caught all 8 fish on the same lure and dodger interestingly.
Hey, thought I saw you Friday evening headed back to the Okanagan. We got a late start on Friday evening and didn't do any good but limited out Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for all the tackle tips.
Evening fishing on the kayak in this just sounds aweful, your a trooper! Im sticking to 1am morning launches this year, lol.
Btw i saw your gooey duck video from a few years ago that you did, that is sick! Would be cool to do some razor clam vids in the winter, and if youve never been they are D-LISH!
Good luck out there!
I just published a razor clam video th-cam.com/video/Z8UgIPavw-0/w-d-xo.html
BRUHHHHHHHHHHHH🤩
Mauks is awesome! Mike is super knowledgeable
That's me what to do, what to do. How the rod holder keep from snaping into is beyond me.
Love your Videos.
RAM mounts American made and tough as nails
No shit! That first fish was violent as hell. Awesome! Great take down. But I was thinking the same thing. That's a lot of trust in that skinny plastic. Lol. But if Tyler says they're solid as hell, I trust he knows. Just make sure the set up is seated in the rod holder so you don't lose your shit like he did in his other video. That hurt.
Tyler,at 5:28 in your video your net was on fire haha
I enjoy your videos. I’ve picked up a few helpful tips, thanks. I was wondering how far into August you can catch Sockeye in Brewster. I know they start moving as the water temp cools down. But from your experience over the years what’s the latest you can plan on the fish being around? Thanks
The fish are here until Sept most years but their edibility drops off past mid-August
Slammin salmon 👍👍👍
I’m no anti-pro. I am a pro
What rod do you recommend for trolling for kings fishing with 360 flasher and up to 16oz lead
I liked the little bit of language flair in this one lol!
Its hot. I get cranky.
@spiltmilt it's definitely been a hot week! I genuinely liked the language though, maybe a little more real and raw?
Yeah I prefer to keep it clean so folks with kids can watch it
Great video, really enjoy your knowledge and videos. What advise do you have for someone wanting to possibly get a PDL kayak…… I’m quite tall and would like to test drive one, but seems that no rental company’s have them.
Most dealers will let you test drive one for a small fee which is usually credited in any purchase. For larger kayak anglers looking at a PDL kayak I suggest the Sportsmans 120
Have you ever tried to verticle jig or dead stick in the masses of fish congregating in the Okanogan warm water? Like you might for Kokanee with a pink gitzit or just a shrimp. They are so thick in there it seems like a person should be able to find a few biters? I have trolled through them with no success but lots of line bumps. I just figured the water was too warm and turned them off the bite. A friend of mine put his underwater camera down and said it was crazy. "So many fish".
Yes and failed. Also tried some Japanese salmon spoons with squid skirts to no avail
Great idea. I like it. Seems like it would be Dynamite. Or like a little super duper, little Cleo.
Is there a lot of grass floating
Is that normal
Thanks for your time👍👍
not normal
Do you sell pre tied rigs? I’m knew to sockeye and trolling. I want to get my first one
I don't but there are many pre-tied rigs available thru various companies.
Which rod holders (and extenders?) are you using? Do you happen to have an affiliate link for them?
The description of this video has everything you need. th-cam.com/video/1Jihrx7XAZY/w-d-xo.html
@@spiltmilt thanks!
How do you rig nav & anchor lights?
I don’t. I just have a 360 light pole on the stern
Is that a new rod and reel?? 😅
No…it’s my wife’s 😂
Tipping with salad shrimp?
Most likely cured prawns, I use both, but like to doctor up the salad shrimp with a salmon blend bait marinade. I like the pro cure addicted blend or the pro cure salmon slammer personally.
Yes coon shrimp
Did you get a replacement rod?
I am using my backup Classic Glass rod. Shimano doesn’t make the rod I lost anymore
Was fishing across from the Brewster boat launch on Friday and hooked what looked like a 15 lb rainbow trout. Unfortunately it came off shortly after hooking it, but I got a decent look at it. Have you heard of anyone catching a trout that big in there before? Are there triploids in there?
Yes triploids that wash down from Rufus Woods
