She. Is. Awesome. Such a smart and beautiful woman. Its amazing to see more females getting into shooting sports and especially the ELR and PRS disciplines. Great podcast and hope to hear more good stuff from her soon.
Addendum: reading the comments I can see most, even though credit was given to Rei for her knowledge and accomplishments as a competitive shooter, her physical appearance just can't be left alone. Come on men, the comments about "being her spotter". Leave that crap in the drawers of your mind if you want women to join us in shooting sports! When your woman is with you on the range do you want her talked about like that or rather hear " that gal can shoot lights out"???
When my woman is on the range, I'm 100% staring at her butt in them leggings. So, there's that. This day and age 98% of "influencers" in the shooting/hunting world are Instagram models that didn't really stand out and found a nitch they could fit in that brought the success they were looking for. I say good for them for capitalizing on their assets. Do they carry any real weight in the community? Nope. But they are making it work with what they know will work. As far a "real" competitive shooters.....yeah I can see where they could have issue, but they also know the power they possess and turn it on when it's convenient like any other woman does so as long as everyone is playing the same game I say play on.
When Rei is at a match she automatically gives the advantage to herself or any other females present. The menfolk are unable to concentrate on the task at hand. A classic example is watch Eric Cortinas fumble his simple arithmetic. This is what happens.
@@ppulf968 .....I could be that helpful guy for her anytime,.....if it weren't for being married to my Beautiful Cowgirl Angel & being her one & only helper that is.......
One point she made, and hits home, is there aren't many ranges available for ELR. It would be nice if there was a GPS database with locations of shooting spots, targets, and distances that people use out in the boonies.
I like how passionate she is and you can tell the excitement and that she loves what she does. Isn't she perfect? She's beautiful and likes long range shooting, reloads etc etc. She's always positive and have fun doing it and...well I can keep going and going.
First interview you’ve done that I almost turned off! She’s easy on the eyes not so much on the ears!! Thanks for trying, love the rest of your interviews.
Congratulations to Rei on her many shooting accomplishments. Congratulations to Erik on a difficult interview. I wish I knew where the money comes from to pay for all this. She didn’t mention sponsors so I’m guessing there’s a secret source of extra money. Shooting and traveling is very expensive.
Just seeing this. Shooting 1777 yds today and my tof was 3.27 seconds. It seems twice this long when you are waiting for impact. Great video!! Thanks!!
Super great video Erik! Rei, what dies do you use for that .375 Chey Tac. I'm looking for some for my .375 cheytac. Congrats on your accomplishments to both of you.
I've seen this video several times now. The first time I thought to myself: Why doesn't she remember the number of targets, the distances, the point system? - but that's only because - for me these King of 2 Mile matches are so unbelievably great and I'm so new to (E)LR shooting that for me this all remains burned into my brain. If I shoot in a different place every weekend - with all the hassles of traveling with a gun - I don't remember it either - plus, the rules keep changing.... as I wrote in my last comment: great Woman in this sport! RESPECT!
It must be great to have nearby access to extreme long range shooting locations. To shoot so far away that the use of a Charley TAROC optic device is nessessary. In most places in the USA the best ranges you can get is 200 yards. Which also is the maximum range for whitetail deer hunting in heavily forested States.
Super great video! Very interesting young lady. .001”= 4”@ 4,000 yards, absolutely amazing!!!! I have a really stupid question, is there any difference between a barrel with right hand twist and a barrel with left hand twist???? Told you it was a stupid question!
Yes, over very long distances your wind direction will have different effect on them. For example with a left twist barrel when the wind is from the left the bullet drop will be slower than a right twist barrel. Anyway thats what I heard
Sounds very hard to even get into ELR. This is unfortunate, if there’s anything we need now, I feel it’s more shooting enthusiasts to keep the sport alive. Esp with so many people nowadays only focusing on the nefarious usage of firearms. More people need to see and experience the wonderful and safe side of the shooting sport when done responsibly. Thoughts anyone?
ELR is not hard to to get into. There are monthly ELR matches conducted at Spearpoint Ranch from March to September, with several different classes to compete in.
She has not shot much in the past year . But was shooting a lot at one point in time. Many people stay with a zone for matches like for example 3 or 4 states.
@@markfox-wm7yk l get it. I've been shooting uspsa carry optics for 4 years but have tapered off on the national and international match's. All things in their season. Plus I am 70 so physical issues pop up!
My longest shot was 1982 i shot a Raccoon head shot out of a 100 ft pine tree from over 1100 yds with a100 gr hand load out of my 788 Remington 243 i was aiming about 11 over and 4 ft left i had 6mph cross wind marines taught me that
This interview was very different feeling to all the others of eriks i have seen. Seemed to me she could not answer a question directly, seems she can shoot well but much past that a little clueless. Mayby she was nervous who knows but kinda cringe worthy on the whole. I dont really remember any actual usefull info apart from mayby use a 33xc
She’s one of those people that are good at doing certain things, but not good at articulating to others what exactly she is doing. I feel like I’m this type of person sometimes.

One of the best interviews in this series! This woman is such an impressive idol!
What a lady!! Its great to see women shoot in any discipline
"The bullet hasn't even got there guys. "
I love it, that says it all.
So great to see the gals showing guys how to shoot.

100%. It probably discourages women from participating in the shooting sports.

I have watched Rei's videos for a couple of years now
I shot Nightforce ELR 2023 and now I'm hooked
What caliber are you shooting?
What a great attitude and approach.
erik, I've never seen you so smiley and enthusiastic.
She’s awesome!!
Very interesting! that interview went by quick. Thank you Eric.
The second half of that interview kinda went off the rails 😊
What a smile this gal has!
Gorgeous and a gun girl!!!! Definitely want her!!
Interesting fact: JTF2 used the beta Charlie TARAC to land the world record shot know as the longest confirmed kill.
Stunning! What a disposition, if you could bottle it for common people you would be an overnight millionaire!
I think i need to get into ELR now.
Shooter: Shot, over...
Spotter: Shot, out...
Shooter: Splash, over.
Spotter: Impact.
If you know, you know...
😂
Those 👀. Good chat. Thanks
She didn’t seem to understand a single question and had answers to even less.
...for once !!....- an interview I loved watching instead of only being able to maybe listen to....NOW I can Commend you on an interview.
I just watched her shoot wow she dont mess around while her eyes focus she sends it.
I load with a spoon and scale done it for years ...
F-Class National and World Champions should get Auto Entry! Rei Hoang and Erik Cortina ELR Champions!!!

The only thing she can shoot is those powders she weighs in a spoon that she flew to Texas to get
Your a awesome lady love your attitude

learn a lot from video, she is obviously expert in elr,
Lol
"I used a Frankford Arsenal battery operated pocket scale and a teaspoon", Eric, I'm beginning to think you've been lying to us...........😉
😂
She weighing powders alright
Make sure you film it
.375 Chey Tac..😊😊😊
Somebody buy Eric a few more polo shirts. Maybe a gray one
Nope. Lol
Damn good shooter also
Who would ever walk past this amazing woman in a grocery store and think she could shoot a beer out of your hand at 4000 yards. No one!
"A beer at 4000"? That might be a tad of exaggeration.
And how many men would watch this video and *not* make sweeping exaggerations and assumptions of the lady? 1 out of 1000.
Probably shoot some meth out of your hand no problem
she just said, flick the bean😆 I love this chick. I could hang out with her all day I bet.
Hey... does Sinclair sell those wind dance chillers ??? I need one... 😅

She has such nice skin. Great shooter too lol

I've asked her things, but she never answers, like she is to good for other people
Cause she's full of shit and can't really shoot. She's a fake.

agree
I agree as well. Don't think she's knowledgeable enough to shoot long range.
Its inthe math
In the meth
Come on Erik, just spin up a cheytac barrel and go to an ELR match.
🙈
Pfft. Who needs all that rigamarole. Just take an iron sighted .30-30 and show 'em.
She is my future ex-wife... she just doesn't know it.
Good on her, but she’s a bit of a goofy 😂🤣
Is it just me, or dies she seem quite flirty and he seems thoroughly unimpressed?
