Love it. The turbo is nice for the extra mojo, but even the 2.5 engine has good torque from a stop. I have been driving my mother's Forester and it is a pleasure. The downplayed styling makes the turbo version a sleeper! Subaru is often criticized and I am one of those who might nit pick, but over all they are very well developed cars and handle great!
I totally agree. So many people complain and don't see that it has a subtle beauty and simplicity, while being so very well developed, as an AWD and flat 4 engine. Very refined and a pleasure to drive. The turbo version makes it a bit of a sleeper!
On the Premium the 11.6 inch screen and eyesight are actually standard. The options are for the inclusion of navigation and automatic emergency steering, as well as the blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alert. That said, I have a 24 Sport in Magnetite Gray and love it. The back end of this one looks so plain without the dual exhaust and trunk-lid spoiler. I do love the 2.4 turbo as well. But that's all an additional 7 or 8 grand.
Premium trim represents a great value and contains most if not all things most drivers and passengers will need. The limited trim (and touring too) offers items like heated steering wheel, Harmon/Kardon audio, heated rear seats and power passenger seat. The HK audio, Navigation, heated steering wheel and probably other things I’m forgetting come with the moonroof package on the limited trim. I have a 2020 Limited and have to tell you that the heated steering wheel does not get very hot at all, so I wouldn’t hold out for a higher end legacy just to get that feature 😂.
Love the cryatal black exterior with the black (and ivory 3:183:18 ?) interior. For those features you mentioned, it would be worth the extra $2,000. The best thing Subaru did was add frames around the door windows. The old Subaru's with frameless windows on their doors was awrful!
Be sure to check how the ventilated seats work. I had that feature on an older Lexus (‘13 ES 350), and it was uncomfortable at best, like I was being tickled by the air, and not in a good way. It didn’t even blow cool air. 😕
A car to consider..pretty competitive. AWD holds fuel mileage down a bit. Option packsge rounds out car nicely except for long term ownership I would prefer to not have sunroof! Car often overlooked but I like..would work fine for most people. Wluld look st other colors beside black but it looks pretty s

I do find something charming about the oldschool, subdued look of the legacy.

Great video like always. I would go for the touring XT because living in Florida I need cool seats
