I have seen guys bring an excavator to recover something this stuck, and you bring a jeep and an ATV. Your recovery skills are epic!
50 years ago the village saw their villager take down the church tower which the demolition contractor from the city couldnt take, with a hotbulb tractor from the late 40s and nothing but pulleys, anchored to several trees. He spent the morning rigging, taking the tower down took 5 minutes, packing his ropes and pulleys took a few hours. He was ready early enough to celebrate his accomplishment in the pub, before taking off home with the thunderously banging one cylinder hotbulb diesel.
As long as you have pulleys and an anchor point, you can move everything with anything.. Archimedes said, with a big enough lever i can move the world.
I find it mind boggling how many people notice their excavator start to sink…and just keep going!
I am impressed that you were able to get anchored solid enough to pull that thing out.
Mr Matt That was one heck of a recovery. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Makes me want to finish the winch box project 😆
I have recovered many many many excavators, and I’m sure you don’t do it all the time but next time use the excavator to dig out in the front of your front plate make yourself a slight ramp using the excavator you had the right idea in the right concept, but it would’ve made it easier on you if you wouldn’t use the excavator just a littlemore in regards to digging out the front to make yourself a little ramp. I recovered them up in Dutch Harbor Alaska. I recovered them from the swamp of Louisiana and I did it also over in Kabala when I was deployed so I’ve done quite a few different recoveries. Lol but yeah, the right idea it took a little bit longer than it should’ve but you did good. As long as the end result is you got the machine out?
This seems amazing to me, your recovery skills are so diverse and your vehicle seems relatively conservative compared to other recovery outfits. It just makes what you do and achieve that much more impressive. Top job 🇦🇺👍❤️
You are the king of winching, and obviously know you way around an excavator. Nicely Done!
That's badass dude! I grew way out in the sticks in NE Texas, rarely had multiple dollars lol, we would get stuck from time to time between fishing holes and a pig bayed up somewhere, we would just have to figure it out as we went but we made out, not quite as handy as you and that jeep though, but kinda takes me back. Nothing like a little work ethic and common sense, both rare nowadays! Awesome channel keep doing that thing
Great job!!! That mini excavator was super buried!! I can't believe the operator didn't stop before he was that deep!! That's crazy! I thought sure you were going to have to call back-up for some dunnage to put down for enough support to hold the Jeep from sinking. That soil is crazy soft when it saturated!!!
Nice job man. I like hearing the analysis or break down of the plan to get it out
Awesome recovery dude, Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks, and no problem
I have quickly learned to not doubt your skills or your Jeep. It looks hopeless yet you prevail. Thank you for another great video.
Holly cow!!! Seriously, I think you should offer your experience to our S.F. operators. This is great knowledge to have had when driving a MRAP on those pebbles/River silt.
It's amazing the stuff that you can pull out the videos are getting better
We are trying
That was impressive, i would not have thought that possible due to the conditions. Well done!
Sheesh. I never thought you'd get that out without being able to lift it to break the suction.- well done
It’s truly amazing the capabilities of a simple pulley system. You guys are savages!
That's badass that jeep can pull out just about anything from all the videos I've seen its crazy how strong and the winch is and how good his rigging skills are
Wow, that's amazing Matt.
Definitely was an interesting one for sure
@@OffRoadRecoveryLLC hey you can't park there lol
Looks like you finally got a good challenge to test that new winch. Good job sir. That was a nice one.
Yeah and no anchors available
Gave the haters nothing to complain about 😂
Best off-road channel on YT!
No way! I thought you need backup, but I forgot who was on the job. Great job and content
By far the best off-road recovery channel i appreciate the information .

Got to admire an operator with no quit. Guy was no gonna stop till she was all the way down. 😂😂😂 impressive recovery for a jeep. You are the man. Love your wife’s commentary.
I said right out loud as I live alone, he can't do that pull, three times as I watched your pull. you and the jeep are amazing. great vid. will be watching from Canada for future vids. thanks.
Thanks 👍
good to see someone has a land anchor
I’ve seen and done my share of sketchy stuff in my life but every one of your videos is more impressive than the last.
Great job LOTS OF WORK
Love the video long or short works I would watch either way because it entertaining and it's learning experience
Dude !! That was one impressive recovery 👍👍
I'd like to say, it's self reliant. It can get itself out. Done it, will love to show you how. Just requires skill.
Wow that was a pickle. A deep muddy pickle. Nice job.
Yeah I just started watching your videos, pretty impressive for today's Jeeps I'm old school CJ 70s and 80s I used to ride those trails close to the Alabama Florida line Good times look for the snake coming out from under your boom at the 8:25 period of the video have a good day
What the hell does something like this cost....man you put allot of time and effort into these recoveries. Great vids...new sub.
That was pretty impressive!
Pretty darn amazing that you could get enough footing in that slop to do any good. The field is too soft everywhere for them to be doing any digging in. It looks like the operator could have seen that on his way to where he was trying to dig.
Awesome video man 👍
Not gonna lie, that was pretty impressive.
You have got to be near the best in NE Florida and SE Georgia. That synthetic wench rope is a lot tougher than I thought it be.
Well done but would like how the operator get it stuck. Good job congratulations. Piet Schoeman from Nylstroom SA Limpopo Prov.
Great job
Great job.
That was impressive. I'd be interested to see how much anchoring force you have with the pull pal and 4 wheeler and scotch blocks
impressive,good job.
Thanks!
That is one bad situation to be and I've been stuck like that before it was awhile ago the ground gave up from underneath my vehicle now is stuck about 3ft down
I hope you got paid big money on this one. well done
nice job, you earned it.
You Got It! First time go.
Hell yaa ya'll are fantastic great job working as a family
The Pull-Pal earned its keep again.
Very useful tool
Love it
See, U did it!
Wow, Time to wash everything!
U guys need a heavy lift helicopter 😅😅
Shall call it the RescuCopter
In the 50’s My high school buddy had an old WW2 jeep we’d take to NSB or Daytona and pull stuck cars out of the sand for free beers! Big deal for us.
Warn winch should supply you for a lifetime with winches for that video.
Its very impressive
Awsome 👍🇧🇻
Sure y'all will get it out!
What a nightmare!
Never underestimate the Power of the Mechanical Advantage!
Awesome job brother! 💪💪💪💪
Thanks, it definitely challenged my patience
@@OffRoadRecoveryLLC I’m sure, especially when it down poured.
That mini was stuck good. Can you do a short video and tell how much force you where pulling with, on that set up?
Well done
Great use of snatch blockes, pull pal, and tripple line pull, must have been 100ft extention line used?
200 extension
Plus the 100 of the 120 on winch
How much of the total time on site was spent sitting around waiting for the electric winch to cool down due to duty cycle limitations? One of the advantages of a hydraulic winch is that you can winch all day and not have to worry about duty cycle.
Wow, Matt that was amazing watching that machine slowly crawl out of that hole. Well done. How much did the land anchor move during those pulls?
I'd want a unimog or logging vehicle for that one.
very very impressive.
Trees and logs would have been your best friend to throw under tracks .. or mats 😂
Why would anyone with a running excavator be using shovels to dig? Can't you just use the excavator to dig itself out? If it runs, this makes no sense to me.
Nice
Unbelievable !!!!!
And that folks is why you never buy used rental equipment.
You guys are good. I will not bet against you.😅
Brother love the channel. How do you like the warm winch compared to the badland?
Hey don’t forget also you can pic the bucket up and set it on your traction Matt’s and pic the front up a little and we use Matt’s in muddy conditions that are 4’x8’ and 5’x10’ and they help a lot for are equipment and I didn’t know if you have seen them or not
They are made of the same material as your traction Matt’s and are about $250.00 per matt
Unbelievable!
That's a piece of cake! But I have extensive experience.
You’re going to get it out
Wow!!!
How did you do this? I remember as a farmer my dad also got his tracker stuck like this in a puddle
Yes you will get it out
I hope you charged them a lot for that recovery!
We charged then a decent price but not enough
Pictures we got didn’t look near as bad as it was
But customer was happy
So all and all a good day
Great recovery. Your persistance is amazing. What size Warn winch and what is your battery set up?
Warn Zeon 10-S
Stock battery bigger alternator
Communication seems to be an issue. How about using walkie-talkies or cell phones to communicate to the winch runner?
U can do it. Thanks.
Keystone is local and Putnam has some of the worst trails around. This is north central fl and they are as bad as anything in the state!
I don’t understand why you didn’t dig the dirt out in front of you. You could swing so why not
You must be in north Florida because in south Florida you can only dig about a foot & then you hit solid bedrock.
Yes
Did you fix all the sod before you left so it looked like a golf course ? 🙂
That field is a swamp.
Never mind can you get it out.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how did you get it in.
I’m gonna go winch on something tonight!
Just a question, not a criticism. How come you don't use the claw to dig out the dirt in the direction of pull? I know you have a reason but I was just curious. What you do with that Gladiator is amazing..
Could you have tried to use the bucket to move dirt from around the excavator?
yes
wow
A couple sheet of plywood so you could get on top of the muck
