Magnificent. Simply top shelf. Congratulations on this example of one of Imperial's best designs. My mother drove a triple-black '68 LeBaron for many years. Unique, luxurious, FAST, and fun. Loved the armrest storage. It also had a factory 8-track! I miss it to this day.

I recognize JARRETT DODGE. That dealership was a couple of miles from me in Hatboro, Pa. My family bought cars there. Closed down during the economic crisis of 2008.

The cars of the 20s - early 70s reflected the high level that society was in the US during this period. Back then men wore suits, women nice dresses. Streets were clean, society well ordered.
From the generation of the boomers onwards, the people are generally juvenile. Dress like kids.

Beautiful car but the '67 had a much nicer looking grill, heard it was expensive to make so I imagine it was a cost cutting decision. These cars are good examples of how far we've fallen building classy, well designed automobiles that had attention to detail. I loved the taillights on these, you definitely knew you were behind a '67-'68 Imperial at night!

Great vid on a beautiful car...thanks for posting!
I once had a beautiful '67 Imperial 2-door coupe that was similar to this car in hardtop form. I beat a speeding ticket I got in that car because the cop wrote "Chrysler" on the ticket.

Beautiful vert! I've always loved the '67-'68 Imperials! Extremely well designed & engineered!
I know that Imperial was its own mark until '76, so they are not a Chrysler but what about a "Mopar"?

The mighty Chrysler Imperial. You are correct. Every year there were sold maybe 600 Imperial convertibles while GM often sold 17,000 Series 62 convertible Cadillacs. I'd love to have your car. It would be an honor to drive the wheels off of it even at $3.50 a gallon

Great video on an amazing car. Too bad the audio quality here was very poor. Perhaps you can mic yourselves and take another one? it deserves it, that's all. I have a 1968 Imperial LeBaron in Australia. Original car as well. Cheers Mike, Fletch 👍

They were obviously beautiful. Chrysler made a big mistake going to unibody construction. Also, they should have revised the suspension, using coil instead of leaf springs and torsion bars. The 69 to 73 were the best Imperials. The 90 to 93 models would have been better with stronger engines.

The 69-73 were beasts. ( thats a compliment in my books). Thanks for watching Peter.
