Double Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Dujardin walks us through her winning performance in the individual freestyle dressage event at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

I remember turning the TV on halfway through this and thought "It's a dancing horse."
But I loved every minute of it, I loved that Charlotte used the most British of British music.

Ethan Dalton i got interested in dressage after seeing the "dancing police ponies" during the "Age Of Aquarius" song in the movie version of "Hair". I remember thinking "wait... did I just really see that? REWIND!" Check it out if u haven't seen it before. It's not like this at all, it's very silly but it's def crazy
In the beginning (00:09) there's few bars from Midway March (by John Williams). The music is here is such a potpourri, a little bit added from this and that.
Beautiful fluid ride! He looks like he floats and is one of the most relaxed dressage horses ive seen, and Charlotte rides him impeccably (beautifully in-sync together)
Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro changed my entire life when i watched their routine back in 2012, after i watched the routine i ran to my Mum saying i know what i want to do now for the rest of my life and now i'm a passionate Equestrian, i love my life and won't change it for the world, my biggest goal is to get to the Olympics 1 day and hopefully get to meet Charlotte some day! :-)

Whoa, these guys changed me so much, they are the reason i ride and want to try to go to hartpury even though i barely have time to become good enough for it, i was lucky enough to see valegro in person a few weeks ago, i leant over loads of people and just touched his neck and it sent shivers down my spine 💜

I love the way she says we and her and he horse are a team not just her winning the horse too amazing eqistrian!
She makes it look effortless ❤the emotions are connected to the adrenaline so it is perfectly natural and normal to be emotional after a performance
I have a quarter horse that is now pretty solidly at 2nd level, and during sequences that I am trying to get a bit more collection, I see Charlotte in my head, and I try and sit like she does. Works wonders. Frosty voluntarily gave me the first steps of Piaffe the other day. No whip, no spurs, just going home impultion and *literally* the weight of the reins. I was not in her mouth or face at all. All I did was sit and sit.
Very emotional... Valegro and Charlotte were made for each other ...
I never tire of watching this girl and Carl truly inspirational and great ambassadors for the support and the care of the horse
I find Charlotte and Valegro’s passion inspiring and also enjoy watching them perform
