A true top 100 essential Marvel Legends, David. I am very proud to say I own all but five figures: Classic Doctor Strange ( waiting on my preorder), Emma Frost(Puck BAF wave, I do have the recent and the Hellfire Club version), Mary Jane (All new All different Spider-man 2pk), Hela, and Starlord. Again a great list, chock full of comic versions.

So you're telling me that for a legends display Colossus is less essential than Enchantress, Beta Ray Bill, Black Knight, Deathlok, Gwen Stacy, JJJ Knull, Kraven Leader, Malekith, Man-thing, MJ, MODOK, Morbius, Shang-Chi, Taskmaster and Winter Soldier?
Guessing you forgot to go back and fix the list after you replied to me in the comments section of the stream video.

    • @misterpreposterous5771
      @misterpreposterous5771 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

To be fair, there are so many X-Men that they would easily take over 30 spots. If one wants to cover the entire Marvel universe, individual X-Men have to suffer.
And yeah, Beta Ray Bill, JJJ, Knull, Kraven, Leader, Man-thing and MODOK are more essential than Colossus.

      Yes

    • @Lionsden99
      @Lionsden99 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@misterpreposterous5771 I'm not asking for every X-Man but you need Xavier, the original 5 ,(Scott, Hank, Bobby, Warren and Jean) and then giant sized X-Men brought in 4 characters of Note that included Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Storm and Colossus who all became GIANTS in the marvel Universe and saved the X-Men book from being cancelled. He then went on to be a player in nearly every big x-men story arc, a mainstay and many would say, heart of the team. Not to mention his multi-exposures in other media.
Plus on the stream video, when someone suggested Colossus, David said "of course Colossus is on the list" he had just forgotten to put him on it.

    • @Gen_IsANerd

@@misterpreposterous5771 Especially characters like Taskmaster, MODOK, and Winter Soldier. Like, to YOU, Lionsden99, you think Colossus is more important than some of the best Avengers villains, when Colossus can easily be replaced? And yeah, I can see what you’re talking about with the Spidey villains if it’s a Marvel display only, but we’re talking about the big bads of the Marvel Universe in general, sorry for going on a rant, but most of the characters you named, were more essential characters than Colossus.

Hi, Dave. Thanks for another very interesting and entertaining video. I even watched it twice. Turns out I have 50 of your top 100. And since you asked at the end, there are some you included that I certainly would not consider essential with short explanations: Beta Ray Bill (alien horse version of Thor), Black Knight (not that important an Avenger), Captain Mar-vell (maybe then but dead a long time), Deathlok (never was that important, non-canon Marvel future), Gwen Stacy (original one dead a long time now), Knull (too new and only one storyline), Rhino (you sure included a lot of Spider-Man villains, but that's one I would not include).
And as for some obvious ones you are missing, excluding the Punisher which I personally hate: Colossus (only guy missing from your all-new, all-different X-Men), Shadowcat aka Kitty Pryde (ok, a personal favorite, but long-time member of Excalibur and X-Men, even leader at one point) Carol Danvers aka new Captain Marvel aka Warbird aka Ms. Marvel (even though I know a lot of people hate her, she's been around and important to the Marvel universe a long time), Quicksilver (early bad guy, early Avenger, tied to Inhumans, Scarlet Witch's brother, tied to X-Men, played by two different actors in two cinematic universes, just always around somewhere). I've considered Havok (X-Factor leader, had his own series), Madrox aka Multiple Man (leader of X-Factor, just around everywhere... literally ;-), Magik or Sunspot (to include one "New Mutant who perhaps became the most important), Annihilus (as a major bad guy, but he doesn't have a Hasbro figure so never mind) and the new Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) whom Marvel has pushed really hard since her creation, even making her main character of the Marvel's Avengers game)
Still, you've got a very good list and above 90% which is an excellent score. ;-) And now for a tough question. If you dare to answer it, how many of your top 100 most important characters did you keep after your purges?

I was thinking about your most important list again, and I realized that the High Evolutionary would have been a worthwhile addition. He's been involved with most major Marvel characters, created his own "race", his own planet, was pivotal in the history of Adam Warlock and Scarlet Witch to name a few, had a big crossover named after him, fought and saved Galactus, etc. He just strikes me as a major player with staying power.

So, when this list was originally being made, it was hard to understand what exactly would qualify a character to be on, but it seemed that it had to be something that really has a major impact on the stories and the overall Universe of Marvel, so having a major or total impact on stories, and it had to be a figure that has been made in Marvel Legends form (mainly the Hasbro ones I think) or are going to be made shortly and have been announced. I haven't watched the video just yet, but based on the comments I'm glad Stan Lee wasn't on the final list. My Marvel Universe sort of stays with the basic stories, usually ending somewhere in the 90s at the furthest, but mainly reaching their climax with the Secret Wars where it kind of celebrates a whole lot of characters all at once, before seemingly almost re-booting them in some ways, but the Jim Lee X-Men designs were really influential on me and those stories which appeared in the games and cartoons, though I really don't like stories that mess around too much with alternate dimensions and alternative realities and alternative endings and stuff like that,
I just like the straightforward main stories and I'd like them to be able to repeat a lot, so that people aren't killed off and don't require supernatural explanations for their returns, they just keep escaping capture and returning to fight another day and kind of remain in circulation in perpetuity, so that the Vulture would show up repeatedly, that Spider-Man's neighborhood could at any moment have another bad guy that he has fought before showing up again with another plot or team up. That is how I'd like a Spider-Man game as well, kind of open-world with villains generated up to some new criminal scheme.
A lot of the very well known villains ended up not on the list seemingly because they were more small-time crooks ultimately who didn't seem to have a major impact on very massive and widespread events in the Marvel Universe, so a lot of favorites, both well-known and obscure, didn't seem to make it because of their small-time status overall, even though those are some of my favorites. So the impact of characters like Ultron and Apocalypse and Magneto and Galactus, as well as Thanos and heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and even Doctor Strange could be considered a lot bigger than some others.
I think that an essential list should basically cover all the famous and well known faces, which would have the Sinister Six, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange, The Avengers, The West Coast Avengers, certain important side-kicks, the main and most famous X-Men and their central villains each that we see very often, each hero should have their main repeated villains. I think they should maybe be selected by how often we see them in media, how well known they are, by their popularity or otherwise their frequency of appearances, even if their stories aren't impactful on the overall Universe.
Since I grew up with toys from the 80s and 90s, I always felt like the Silver Surfer would or could pop up at any moment in a story or a game and was a major player, I had no idea about the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man and Wolverine seemed to be the two biggest heroes because of the cartoons but also the comics, and then there was Captain America and Cyclops, and also Storm, but I wasn't really too fond of any of the other female characters initially, but I liked Gambit a lot and so Rogue would go with him, and then Jean Grey seemed essential to be matched with Cyclops, and out of the female heroes from the X-Men I probably liked Psylocke as a figure (I really liked Erik The Red or whatever in the cartoons and his action figure, and Deathbird also, who I call Lady Deathbird, haha I think I heard them call her that somewhere as a reference to her royal titles). When I saw Pryde of the X-Men I liked Kitty Pryde as a kind of introductory character who then maybe Jubilee was based on for the later cartoon but I'm not sure how much I cared about Jubilee even though I would like her represented, maybe she seemed a little annoying to me because of her reactivity where as Kitty Pryde seemed a little more unsure and hesitant, perhaps like how they made Rogue in the film version later. Oh, yeah, Mystique was a cool female villain, and I think Madam Hydra is important.
Even though characters like "Lady Death" have a major impact on events in the stories, I don't consider that character really important or essential to be represented (even though one came with my Marvel Select Thanos figure). I like the male original version of Captain Marvel and the three major characters he deals with, Yon-Rogg his direct adversary and nemesis, Ronan the Accuser, and The Supreme Intelligence, as well as the Kree Sentry, and I also like a character called Korath, but these didn't have clear comic version representations in Hasbro's Modern Marvel Legends except in a version titled Gamerverse for Captain Marvel which has a good comic based representation, but I also like the Marvel Select version of that figure. Carol Danvers then becomes an important figure to represent as well as part of those stories.

    Part 1:
Maybe you could find this concept art mentioned in this video and make some kind of Marvel Legends video out of it or something else about ideas for things and get people excited about things that probably won't happen or exist, but it can always be good fun, I thought you might be able to do something with material like this, even just discussing it:
    th-cam.com/video/69K5pnKjcYI/w-d-xo.html
What I'd be interested in mainly are your ideas about these characters appearing, what they could do, what they could do in stories, their figure versions and what you think of them, their costumes and designs and versions, all sorts of things like that. If the title is made in a certain way, it might even garner interest from people who aren't already familiar with the channel!
So I'm looking at that guys subscriptions and views, and you aren't all that far off. Something needs to get people to be regularly interested and returning, you may want to adjust the way you inform people about subscriptions and your Patreon, and besides that he seems to be maybe getting 18,000 or so views out of 75,000 subscribers maybe, and then you're getting possibly 4000 views out of 20,000 subscribers sort of regularly. If I knew match then I could say something about those numbers.
So you're getting One 5th of your subscriptions to view your videos (and that doesn't mean that these people viewing are actually from the pool of 20,000 subscribers), but 4 times 5 is 20, so if your 20 was broken into 5 parts or something, only one of those parts is watching the videos regularly.
Meanwhile, this pup fellow (as an example) is getting maybe around one 4th, so if his 75 was broken into 4 parts, he is getting one of those 4 parts to view his videos regularly (I haven't checked carefully, maybe that is not the case with his other videos).
I think view counts are often at some kind of ratio like this, they are just a fraction or portion of the subscriber number, so that people need quite high subscriber numbers sometimes to get good view numbers.
If we can get 20,000 out of your 20,000 subscribers to watch your videos regularly, that would be 100%, most people don't get 100%, some people get way over the number of subscribers in the views for their videos, but that is not the most common, it is usually always less.
The thing is, on the one hand 20,000 is a lot of people, even 4000 and 400 individuals is a whole lot of people watching.
I think everything you've got going is great, it is just the content. Often my suggestions are just for people like myself and my family and people similar to us to enjoy, but what seems to get the numbers going for other channels is their talking about "trending" things, even following each other in their personal take on some trending matter.
The "gossip" types don't get as many later ongoing views that build up even in years past, but the kinds that deal with certain films or series that continue to get attention, or otherwise seem to bring up something that seems curious or unusual or provocative somehow (in the sense of some kind of non-specific non-dated seeming commentary on some video or event, with some kind of obnoxious photo showing it in their thumbnail and things in the title) get people to click, like helpless zombies.
I've seen shocking things going on with channels in just these last 2 years or so, for example subjects that people seemed completely uninterested in, suddenly getting clicks, for example films, but also music, really technical stuff too like discussing certain technical aspects about films or music I've seen in some cases get views surprisingly, or the most tedious and boring video essays where some child gives me their sage opinions about something or talks about some controversy or some other artist or creator or otherwise controversy or historical event, stuff we would avoid in school suddenly gets certain people tons of views and interest somehow, even when they are far less entertaining or interesting.
I'm thinking that the Marvel Specific TH-cam fan base that is not really Marvel Film, are possibly not all that big of an overall regular TH-cam population in the first place.
    Part 2:
You mentioned some bad things happening during the live stream, and some you didn't mention but said you were going to later, will that be brought up in a video later? You also mentioned feeling slightly down about the numbers and stuff, but I don't think you should, I think it is just slow going like this, and this isn't even all that slow going, I've seen much worse stagnation on other channels, and many people it seems to take them 3 years to get it rolling or finding whatever works and then they endlessly repeat that, but I think that isn't a pleasant way to go, even if it works.
Everything would be great honestly if somehow you had the money coming in so that you could basically do whatever you want creatively online and it wouldn't force you into any certain direction based on what people are clicking or whatever, or if you had such a large following that it barely didn't matter and wasn't really a risk overall.
You clearly have a regular central group of names known to you which repeat often, the core group that helps create the content of the channel through their participation in chat and the comments, but their overall number isn't all that large (and if it was, they might be harder to notice).
I'm guessing this is what is happening:
There are too many channels, and the algorithm is advertising them variously. There are too many people accessing TH-cam, and they have too much to look into overall. You're not being advertised enough and news of your channel is not reaching the people who might like to know or find it. I think that people are not getting your recommendations, and I am also thinking that people might have so many subscriptions to other channels which are regularly producing a lot, that they don't even end up seeing your notifications.
Plus, even I, and I'm not subscribed to anyone else practically, don't get notifications properly for some reason, it always seems to be glitching and sending them late, if at all, and I discover videos later even though I should've gotten the notifications based on all the things I've clicked and how I've made the settings to inform me, and still it doesn't do it, so maybe something like that is going on with other users as well.
I don't know if this will work, but if you can find an easy, non-exhausting workflow and schedule for video production, and basically just keep producing them and multiple of them throughout the day, including possibly live streaming regularly and possibly even multiple, with more strictly partitioned time or a timer or something in case the length of the sessions exhausts you too much, what I've heard is that there are numerous people who actually click at various times of the day (from around the world) to see who is appearing in live streams,
and sometimes yours pops up, sometimes yours pops up and isn't competing with any others of interest, yet I think that besides the appearance of the stream as it shows in the thumbnail, the name of the stream or topic might also attract attention when it comes to the other streams (and that is how it works on Twitch as well, where "boobs" were weaponized to get people to click because "Mom! It isn't porn! It is just a girl playing video games!").
What I'm saying is that you have to squeeze your chest muscles together and wear a shirt with a huge neck opening and stream throughout the day.

      Part 3:
We have gotten a lot of wonderful international members of the channel by luck, you could even occasionally ask them in the videos or the comments sections how they ended up finding your channel and what they might enjoy seeing on it, to get an idea (if they even know themselves and are honest) what gets people interested and also returning.
I think everyone who has stayed and comments regularly ends up enjoying your personality and voice and expressivity, but are also fans of a lot of pop culture things, they know enough about Marvel and other things that you discuss that they can feel a sense of community and feel comfortable communicating with one another and also bonding through discussion on collecting or otherwise trying to get initiated into the gang by also beginning collections, but that is still such a tiny group of people.
That is why I was thinking that maybe you need to talk about stuff that more people might know about, or might want to know about, things that more people have seen or see, occasionally discussing things that maybe larger swathes of the population of the world can become familiar with or are already familiar with somehow.
Like, I imagine that bringing up some obscure actor would get fine results with channels that are already large and regularly being viewed, but otherwise people are just not searching that obscure name so that if a young or small channel were to bring them up, they would only end up getting a few views if at all.
The reason so many channels must be succeeding is that they probably don't seem as niche or their "niche" is much larger overall or they already have a larger following through a longer time working at building it and through their mentioning and bringing up things that more people were searching or were familiar with.
Amazingly, you did get the attention of a lot of the big and successful creators in this particular sub-section of TH-cam, even while being an incredibly small and new channel overall.
The other thing is though, even though you'll keep at it regardless hopefully, there is a feeling that there isn't all that much time, and to want the results even faster, especially with all these various pressures going on simultaneously.
Very vague stuff is probably over-saturated on TH-cam so that you wouldn't even end up being found on the search, and very specific stuff is probably too specific to get results with others already getting the top billing in search results due to already doing it (though you can still try your hand at having passive content on just about everything covered in case people do eventually find it at some point down a list of other search results just to get any odd person, I think of them as flies unfortunately, caught in your web and then interested in the rest of your content).
I thought Good News would provide lots of SEO options, lots of tags and search results by mentioning lots of companies and products and dates and whatever else in the data that helps with the search results.
Maybe you could not only make those, but then also make broken down versions of it also, where you take each specific item and go on about it longer, even if you don't have it in hand, and can also do it about all kinds of older things as well, just in case someone is interested in seeing you talk about some Batman statue or something or types in searching for that Batman design or whatever.
All across the U.S.A. and elsewhere in the world, people are quitting their jobs fully and not returning to work, they are sitting at home, and TH-cam has boomed like never before (as well as Amazon and other online buying and leisure activities, also based on general stress and finding more time and burning through their savings), after the spending stops or slows down, as it has for many of us, the sitting around at home doing very little and watching videos and shows and movies should continue to increase, for at least a while. This is a new "adult" population to TH-cam.
The Majority of TH-cam users, I believe anyway, are young people and young adults, and then the unemployed and the retired, and then there are a few busy people who might participate in it, but I think that is mostly not the case.
The kids don't generally have lots of money to throw around (except that they totally do, and do throw it around, often for microtransaction things in addictive, gambling-like games), and the adults are generally expected to be the only ones who have extra money to spend on people or toys or whatever else (unless parents are buying them for their children, and these parents are expected to likewise be these aforementioned adults with income or savings).
Now, even though you can't and shouldn't ever say that this is a kid channel (because of TH-cam's strict rules on the matter), most "views" and "clicks" are expected to be coming from people who are on the younger end of the spectrum, while most "cash" is expected to be coming from people who are on the older end of the spectrum, while the overall spectrum remains quite young typically in general, lets say like 10 (which is annoying to me that parents just let their children stare at the screen all day and don't even know what they are doing or watching) to 40,
with it being much less on both ends of the spectrum, so most are probably ages like 17-27 or something like that, and that is most particular to who these people are who are clicking about films, games, toys, comics, comic book characters (that they've become familiar with through media like films), and music, and who are also interested in "learning" still as well, since that greed and ambition for just learning about absolutely anything at all may die down into more specific interests or completely over time.

      @aFoxyFox. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Part 4:
These younger people are also largely males, but there are a substantial amount of females watching TH-cam as well, though the majority almost always seems to be males so far, particularly in these sorts of topics.
When I was those ages, and younger, (and still, but that is mainly just me, most everyone else stopped being interested in these "creative" sorts of frivolous and eccentric things in their late 20s and early 30s, becoming more jaded even sooner than that), I definitely was pursuing and sponging up all kinds of information about absolutely everything and anything, and curious about all sorts of things that I might discover, listening to all kinds of music, watching all sorts of films, so I think that is generally the hyper-kitten-puppy-like energy of people in their teens and early twenties.
They are also often studying for all these years and attending classes usually, and not always working at jobs, but they also seem to have a lot more time or a lot more feeling that they have time, they also feel better probably, their bodies aren't in as much pain possibly or as broken down as sometimes becomes the case for people as they age and can't rely as heavily on their natural metabolism and initial fitness without more exercise and activity to compensate and keep up their health and proper functioning.
There is a heck of a lot of "ambition" as well, based largely on hormonal activity most likely and not a lot of experience (particularly negative experiences) to deter people, so a lot of the content that gets a lot of views are things that are motivational, things about fitness, things about "flexing" bodies, girls, cars, achievements, money, and these types of "Good Life" videos, as well as their "Counter" or the videos which criticize or mock them or poke fun at them, seem to get a lot of views and interest from people. People seem to want to learn how to be a "prestigious individual" or at least how to "appear prestigious"
and also how to procure resources (including human resources, like a girlfriend or partner) at the "height", and this even translates into videos about games where people try to "flex" various trophies or high ranking achievements or special armors and stuff like that. These are also mainly males still who are interested in these things, and even more narrowly, generally heterosexual males who are in their school years, often pre-college, but sometimes in college or the years that they would've been in college. They are also not often "already very well established", but come from lower to middle class or even upper middle class upbringings, and want people to "look up to" and "emulate" in order to guide them in life.
You've had a taste of some this when people are asking you what you think of this or that, or if they should buy this or that etc, because they look up to you, and that is simply also because you "appear", lol, meaning anyone who shows up on their screen and puts themselves out there in a relatively slick fashion with high quality images of some sort (even if they don't show themselves) ends up appearing to have some kind of prestige or charisma just by being seen on the screen. Beyond that, you have a showcase of trophies and ques for a kind of prestige with all the toys and lights behind you and a relatively clean appearance to everything, even if it is messy in reality.
You may even want to turn the camera away from the boxes and things in the corner, even though they are very relatable, but I have a feeling that a lot of people in this world, invisibly traveling the internet anonymously and finding that no one can really judge them, are ultimately quite petty, even without realizing it.
They have performed studies on apes, and these studies showed that the apes stare longer at "High Status" apes images than they do apes at their own level or lower. I think something like that also goes on with human beings as well, but it can also have a detrimental effect in other ways, to certain apes or people (most likely), where they might feel alienated or remote from things and disconnect from it if it goes too far (apparently it doesn't matter for a lot of these successful channels though, so that the majority of apes or people still initially, in their earlier years, might be "Falling" for the ques of success or prestige in whatever field they may be showing off regarding and wanting to study those images or that information more than other information).
Did your channel seem to get more views and clicks regularly when it improved its appearance? Personally, the videos when your space appeared so cramped and you were down below and with a flimsy looking tiny space to display things on the table in front of you, and you were fumbling and dropping things and hitting your own glasses, lol literally those were such lovely moments from earlier days on the channel, but what were the results those kinds of videos got initially and what did they get over the months and years since? I wonder if there is a "Sweet Spot", or if your videos, at least for more views, require even more "slickening" (haha lubrication),
since that one guy who talks about technology items (which you can too) has very (seemingly unnecessarily, but maybe it isn't) fancy or slick looking videos, where he appears to be prestigious (and basically is now) while discussing new items on the market, and he gets ridiculous views from people. I wonder what you could do, as an experiment anyway, with the equipment and items you have available and the space you have available, in making a video at the highest looking "production value" possible (with the most ease and simple trickery or "movie magic" and angles and stuff), and what that might do.
I also liked that you showed the nice clean kitchen in the food testing video, which you might be considering a failure, but I think that if people can figure out how to make things look good enough, it might just fool a bunch of these people whose eyes are captivated by signals of success (even if it is all fauxy).

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Yeah, and it is for me as well, I'm extremely interested in trying to figure out what it is exactly driving these results for some people. Now I saw a bunch of videos with views that seem like insane numbers 29 Million views and stuff like that, and their whole trick is saying things weirdly in the title. The video quality was very ordinary, just showing a pan and cooking stuff on it, and it wasn't high quality or anything, and all it said was something like "If you have 1 cup of milk and popcorn you'll never go back" or something odd and crazy sounding like that, and apparently titles like that just make it irresistible for people to click, also the picture didn't seem to give anything away necessarily, so things which someone get people curious (or children curious, haha like luring them towards a van) seems to be getting insane amounts of clicks. Another one talked about like fried cheese sticks, but didn't simply say that, if they simply said it, it apparently wouldn't work, but instead they said something "You'll regret not making these", haha I'm not getting the titles exactly right but you've probably seen these weirdly written titles, even on online ads where they have some mysterious image and then weird writing under it, well it seems to be working in a huge way to get clicks to low quality videos even, or moderate quality, nothing is even slick about those.
I noticed far fewer clicks for things that gave away a lot in their titles or which had obvious or accurate titles, and even less if it was for things that had to do with Marvel, which is weird because it is a major franchise, but when it was titled weirdly, it was almost always getting a lot more clicks if people almost didn't know what to expect when clicking in or opening the video, it had curious images, curious titles, sometimes reactive faces but that didn't seem important even, any kind of "giving away" of information that was clear or obvious seemed to reduce the numbers I would see.
Weirdly, the "milk" part of that recipe for popcorn, came at the end of the video practically, which may be how they got people to have a lower view time into the video as well! To me, it felt like a waste of time and a disappointment, though I may end up trying the easy recipe myself lol possibly also when I try sorghum as popcorn (it similar has a popping effect and result but without the inflammatory elements that corn can sometimes cause in the body).
So the "slickening" idea was just one possibility and suggestion, beyond also the scope increase and widening of what gets discussed and exploration into lots of different fields, topics, products, even "types" of videos, but beyond that it seems I'm finding people whose videos are of an extremely basic level, nothing sharp or fancy (but also not looking low quality either, but not very high quality, just simple and basic) and all they have going for them are their weirdo titles with strange ways of wording things that are also mysterious, with mysterious pictures and seemingly giving away nothing, and then also these same types may not get to the point quickly either, but lure people into their videos and seemingly never get to their initial or original statement until closer to the end (and I hate all this, but it seems to be making them a fortune, getting them insane views that basically no one talking about Marvel or Toys has seemingly gotten for the most part).
I don't know what countries are clicking these things, but it may be that there is some universal appeal to broken English and weird wording and mysterious content, and in this case food, but I also saw it working in other videos.

      Part 2:
Laura Legends, who is a sharp person, seems to have given in and picked up on it somewhat, or is still trying, so they had one with almost similar sounding language recently "You won't believe what was inside" but it was still too clear apparently, and needs to be even weirder to get attention. She also has the strange disadvantage of being female, which a lot of people seemingly resist, they get a lot less clicks than males or "nothing", like how this food thing didn't even show the hands of the person cooking or putting in the ingredients or it wasn't clear what they were.
Then again, there was another, obvious clickbait type video, that uses the "sex sells" philosophy, which you tried with the boob video I enjoyed, but which seemed to aggravate at least one person (who also stayed anyway, I think that was the one Jackie Chan started flailing after), but the one I saw that had some success, but not nearly as much success as this weirdly worded food type video, was "Most Paused on Star Trek scenes" or something like that, moments or something, and had a picture of a woman with her legs opened from some Star Trek scene, and another woman in front of her in the same scene with her buttocks facing the camera with spread legs, but they were clothed in some kind of Star Trek aerobic clothing, that seemed to get that guy a million views.
Now, I'm thinking, people have much easier access to more graphic imagery online, but this getting a million was simply because of the provocative nature of the image and the implication in the title, again, getting people curious without giving all too much away, but as much as it did give away, both attracted people and may have "I get it, I know what to expect" from other people who then didn't click it, because their inner cat was not interested in enough or felt they had solved the mystery sufficiently.
That is probably why some of these "Crime Case" videos have been doing well (but never as well as other types of videos, except surpassing toys easily), because they present some curious or weird looking information and enticement without what it is going to end up being, and then people go in to find out, or find it difficult to resist.
So for me personally, I love obscure references, comedy and goofiness non-stop, total free roaming improvised stream of consciousness type stuff, and relatability, stuff that doesn't seem slick or anything, but it seems that, even though that probably would get people who are worthwhile to stay as regulars, for clicks what seems to be working are these weird titles that make people wonder what it is going to be or something.
I don't think the "sex sells" technique actually works that well, even though I saw rapid success for some females showing off their breasts very purposefully, and that is due possibly to the availability of much more "complete" versions for free which get to the point and get the job done for people much faster lol, if that is what they want, but why I bring that up is that I believe there is a somewhat massive movement present of males, from various cultures around the world, who are almost "anti-sex" and "anti-women" even, and hate "being manipulated" by sexual imagery, and actually get angry about it, even though they probably also have an ongoing struggle with and shame about viewing such things, many of them come from religious or conservative backgrounds, but others are just young, and even others have turned it into a kind of stoic masculinity type "No Girls Allowed" type "Toughness" thing. These are some of the same people who click videos probably that offer "challenges", like "See how long you can go without laughing" type stuff, and similarly they do the same regarding their self-challenging when it comes to resisting common "weaknesses" or even "girls", which can in other cases move towards a kind of misogyny or at least an appearance of such in some of the "Online Males", who are likewise often in their twenties and sometimes much younger.
That is what I think may have been an aspect of what rubbed Jackie Chan the wrong way, and why people from our boob loving generation might be a little different. This is further apparent when I've seen people in this community bringing up some "Self-Help" type "How To Psychologically Dominate Girls" type videos being recommended, and also others with "Clout" type recommendations stemming from American Rap culture originally and stuff like that or an interest (or resistance to the mainstream) Kanye and Kardashian type imagery and stuff.
Now, some of these people actually mock and make fun of "nerds" and "toy collecting" and stuff, but I've seen those videos which go about hubristically putting down groups in a very direct way (like one jealous seeming Latino guy who became fixated on Shartimus Prime and tried to create hate videos against him mocking his toy collecting, I mention that the person was Latino because that seemed to be a factor as to why they fixated on Shartimus and were particularly jealous of his somewhat mediocre success compared to other people who are much more successful, something in this person must have seen themselves or some aspect of themselves in Shartimus and then targeted him for negativity and hate, hoping that the controversy would stir trouble, like "KeemStar" loves to create, in order to bring in views, but it thankfully seems to have failed for the most part).
People don't seem to care all that much or stick around for "long term hate" and divisive creation of factions, and that can be sort of obvious because you're then alienating likewise large groups. This differs from the strategy of attacking "minority positions", especially when they are "minority positions" which also can't defend themselves well and are almost universally maligned, so like when people make fun of some fetishist with some creepy and specific fetish, that would be a very tiny minority and everyone can get in on the bullying and kicking, or in attacking and hating on some criminal or predator (which is why some "Predator Controversy" type accusations and videos do so well either). What we're dealing with are a naturally "pagan" and resentment filled, frustrated population of majority "peasants", who look up (and also hate) the wealthy and successful, but dream of becoming prestigious themselves, who also like to take out their frustrations on just about anything, whether it is yelling about the "M-She-U" as Nerdrotic, ItsaGundam, and others do to gather views from criticism about heavy handed "political correctness" type "minority engagement" efforts that they decry, but the bottom line is, people are poor, and hungry (which is why the food videos must do so well in some cases), bored and thus curious, and also wanting something to hate on and kick to relieve themselves of some of their frustrations (and forms of relief, they easily go to other websites if they can) through hate, whether it is hating on Sue Storm's Face or Hobgoblin or Hasbro's decisions or Marvel Comics or the Clone Wars or whatever (actually, the Clone Wars seems to have a lot of approval from people as far as I've seen).

When he did the live stream, it was definitely on the list, but I think it might be asking a lot for people to consider Stan Lee a Marvel Character who are usually heroes and villains, it would be like a shelf of Kirby, Romita Jr, Bagley, Byrne, Claremont haha, a shelf that I might actually have, plus Stan Lee makes it in when the Jackal is in the list, Kirby makes it in with The Thing, many of the characters are based on the people behind the scenes, I'd say Jim Shooter is The Beyonder himself for example, both the guy behind the Secret Wars in Marvel and as the Beyonder, also responsible for the Secret Wars. It can be fun to find out the origins of some of the appearances and characters or who they might be inspired by or represent, as a lot of them had their appearances based on certain actors, and then would switch to other popular actors in later eras as well, but in other cases there were strong indications that the characters were based on staff and writers behind the scenes at Marvel.

You didn't include Frank Castle. Ironic with you putting out the Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe video. That's what happens when you don't let the Punisher play 😂
