    Thanks man. Not sure what others are doing wrong, but I followed this step by step and it worked perfectly. Both drives boot into Mac Os when installed . And with all files intact. An exact clone.

    That's really precise and wonderful. 😂
    But did you know it doesn't work for all in the first attempt. It also didn't work for me, I had to run the doctor icon in recovery mode and disk utility on my every partition to be able to clone the macOS disk.

    Hello friend, your videos are very good, I appreciate your contribution, however I want to ask you how to do it or what the procedure would be like to only install PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2
    How to clone the HDD to PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2, of course INTERNALLY, what would those steps be before and after opening my iMac Late 2015 27 inc, I will be attentive. Thank you.

    I have my HDD partitioned on my Macbook (Windows on half), & Upgrading to an SSD, Would this clone both partitions?

      @OfficiallyMeSD Bro, It will clone everything inside. But the Windows Part might not work. 😊

    I have a 2011 Mac, CMR isn’t working to get me into recovery mode.

    Didn't work for me... I got a screen with white writing, with a failure message in a different language on every line.

    If I clone my HDD to SSD and then swap the HDD out for the newly cloned SSD, will the computer boot as normal? I want to do an upgrade if the HDD but would like to have the software pre =-installed.

      Ghost Hash Crypto Bro, It will boot up as usual, but-before that, you have selected the New SSD from the Startup disk, and you will be good to go.😊

    And what about EFI? Do you need to clone it as well?! Without EFI the system isn't bootable!

      Back-seat-Driver Bro, Have you followed the exact process we have showed in the video? It should fix the issue.😊

    Why did you used a slow USB port when you have the Thunderbolt 3 port at 40Gbs? Kinda dumb

    • @theshawnfussellband
      @theshawnfussellband ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably because a for real thunderbolt 3 drive or enclosure is pricey. Especially one as big as 2TBs. Few Hundred dollars vs waiting a few hours. Choice is yours I reckon. The average home user is more likely to have a 3.0 drive laying around. If the video started with "You need to purchase this 200 dollar enclosure....." not many people would of watched it much further.
