    Those "army dealy grabby bits" are more properly known as pedi-palps and actually denote a male spider as they are used in mating. 🌠The more you know.🌠😬

    • @NorthoftheBorder
      @NorthoftheBorder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My understanding is that both sexes have pedipalps, but the males have bulbs on the ends (like little pom poms), and it's a great way to be able to identify the sex of the spider.

    Some ideas you might like for future projects:
    - a diorama of a iconic Dragonball z moment.
    - Ninja gaiden diorama (plenty of cool boss fights to choose from)
    - Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles! I mean, plenty of cool diorama material :D
    Anyways, keep on posting your awesome content!

    Oh ho ho, man. I hate the final song at the end of this video with the diorama... Something about the whistles and the GIANT FRICKIN SPIDER, THAT REALLY CREEPS ME THE FRICK OUT!!!

    i DID A SPIDERMAN DIORAMA USING THE SAME METHOD TO COvER PART OF A BUILDING IN WEBS.never again. (just realized i have been writing in caps but to lazy to do it again). As i said, never again! a couple of years on those webs are covered in dust and it cannot be removed!! All the best.

    I’m just wondering but does anyone know where one could find tutorials on miniatures / dioramas / whatver this is called? I’ve been making a barn for the past 2 days to try and self teach myself but that isn’t working well
    edit: also when you make models do you use salted or unsalted butter?

    • @benediktdingler3484
      @benediktdingler3484 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe bard's craft?

    • @NorthoftheBorder
      @NorthoftheBorder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are so many great resources out there: Black Magic Craft, The Terrain Tutor, Luke Towan, and Real Terrain Hobbies are some great places to start.
      And I always use unsalted--it's easier to add salt afterwards.

      @@NorthoftheBorder Thank you for the suggestions, also, do you actually use butter? How do you stop it from melting?

    Yes all the time I have a bad habit of liking find creepy things cute such as spiders And I like spiders. Like I'm not the only one who likes writers. There's a guy who says spiders are sexy and that is true. There are a lot of spider characters that are sexy. But in this case we need more spiders.

    The ELVISH (comes to more of a graceful point than a gladius) sword's name is "Sting" and the Spider's name is "Shelob" (actually a demon that takes on the form of a spider).
    :frustrated LOTR fan noises: thumbs up though.

    As a recommendation, and I don't know if it's nerdy enough or not but how about a Western diorama? Like the Mexican Standoff scene from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" or the final confrontation from "Once Upon a Time in the West"?
