Unicorn Overlord has an abundance of Units and Class Types to Recruit and Experiment with. These teams have cores that can be built early on and can be upgraded throughout your playthrough to the final form you see in this video! Some teams are much more frontloaded than others, while some other teams are centered around a specific theme or playstyle, Making use of some of Unicorn Overlord's Best Unique Units.
All teams are analyzed with Expert mode in mind

I've gotten to Bastoros, and its now hitting me that I can't just stream roll through with just a LOL team. There needs to be a plan, and now I'm studying for those plans. Thanks for the help.

I admit that I can't say, barengaria out of fight skill gives her the possibility of fighting until the end of time
while on the other hand Virginia's skill after use makes almost any fight trivial
It's up to everyone's preference I would say.

@@Misterblankexcept berengaria doesn’t have access to to her best (IMO) skill in sanguine pursuit for that fight
The most interesting set up I've made so far is the Tricorn's reunited. Travis, Bruno, Berengaria, Shanon, and Selvie.
Most important notes are Travis holding a Dancer's Bracelet, his tactics are to steal PP when he runs out, blind back row, and then poison enemies. Selvie pretty much just using Defenisve curse. Finally Ren just being...busted. Guard seal counts as an affliction for Ren's bonus damage, not to mention the -50% defense, and Travis infinitely adding +30% damage/keeping the back row pacified long enough for Ren and Bruno to cleave through the front line. Super simple, works as soon as you get Ren in the 2nd area. Obviously there are some weaknesses. One cleric and the whole operation falls apart and scouts can waste a lot of your time. But that's why I come here to look at OP builds.
I'm so dumb. I never even thought about using a gambit on steal passive when he's out of pp /facepalm

Thank you very much for the comps! I’m nearing the end of Elheim and just got to A rank and was wondering what team comps to use with all my characters.
One team i really like the most Breaker + Witch + Tank (in my case, I used Hodrick)
The tank holds the line as the Breaker gets buffs with Enrage. Once it's the Breaker's turn, i have the Witch on Focus Sight so the Breaker will cleave full rows of enemies or chain kills. I also have a healer to debuff cleanse and sustain and a Great Knight to cut down any backline mages or shamans
I found having a werefox on my mage and range teams helpful so i could instajump to watchtowers. Also shaman was absolutely broken with the sandstorm staff.
I got 4 nuke teams (2 got Sniper's Lens and 1 has Quick Impetus) that work really well thanks to heal/guard. I algo have a great Gilbert+Berengaria buff and debuff combo that takes very little damage (full unit, though, no Banner). I also got an excellent Alain+Scarlett true love combo that damages all and heals all.
Not a single character gests wasted. The item/tactics combos are a dream come true. God, I love this game so much.
16:50 except those 2 are both available from treasure maps (soul is in Bastorias, heart is in Albion) so it’s better to get this or some other 2k item over those unless for some weird reason you really want 2 of them
I crafted some pretty impressive one shot builds that utilized Morand's ground stomp for ground based teams, as well as a team utilizing Yahna with a certain staff that destroys everything. I also have Yunifi set up in another team to one shot with her glacial arrow. That being said, I had all team slots unlocked and 5 members for each, and made every single team slot OP as fuck utilizing different characters and items. Was a lot of fun theorycrafting. I'd beaten the ranked colliseum of level 50 god teams back when I was only level 30 😅 was excited to get that onyx pendant, till I saw the masssssssive drawback. Still, made great use of it on someone who needed no stats haha

I'm experimenting with the Amalia elite banner build too rn.
I use Nina as the banner girl, she also has a gamblers coin and sapphire pendant.
Amalia nukes two columns with Hawkeye+gamblers coin, then Nina 1v1s the final enemy if everything works out as planned. I set her attacks to only activate when 2 or less enemys are present. Fun and easy build, it feels really badass if u have a road of good matchups ahead and just march on like 2 total badasses, killing entire platoons on your way. It loses hard to multi hits or parry skills like sword masters or wyvern riders tho
Another fun banner set up could be yunifi instead of Amalia. Build her with Hawkeye + gamblers coin too and then let her rain down ice arrows, Nina could use the axe that does 100 extra DMG vs frozen enemies, I'll check that out tomorrow
yunifi and melissandre ( or sword master's in general) can be used as frontline units you can make their evade values high. yunifi's triple counter is busted and meli skills can have her gain AP and PP having more attacks.
Nice i didn't have all the gear available but i did what i could to copy team 3 and i was worried at first because it couldn't beat my alain team (but its heavily armoured).. but then i sent them out on a liberation stage and the solod everything no problem

@RDeVoogd35 so basically you can't use it throughout the main game ... defeats the purpose... because theres no 2nd , I just used a ruby pendant and sapphire pendant on Yahya with no undead ring. These builds are very greedy 😂
@@RDeVoogd35you can get one in the lost game from Gran Corrine and the other you get in Albion during a main quest, the one where Nigel is the final fight/boss
Is there a unit number limit? I misunderstood the Guard town mechanic and hired a number of fluff units to serve as guards
Yep there's a limit. You can dismiss the fluff units for some honor back

Yeah! Any custom colored units have their relevant stats optimized alittle bit. If it's not shown in the character screen in video, I'll edit and list them down. For example; I changed Alain to have Offensive/Defensive as his two traits

Sacral Broach can be obtained in one of the sanctuaries.
You need to unlock the Maiden ring hidden Powers to proceed.

Cool teams but I am disapointed by the lack of Breakers
Breakers are insane
Breaker= destroy barricades.
Because of flying units, breakers tend to miss alot when hitting one.
Where is hastened action coming from and where do you get magia soul?
Lips ring - monuments of anemoi in elheim and magia's soul can be found in Albion or in arena store

Ok why would the Gryphon Knight matter at all when no enemy has 100% after being double dunked on with Trinity Rain? It's just so random.
Feather shield would be at 100% as would any unto with enough radiant knights and griffin is great against the cav and decent against the feathers

I gave the United Front to Alain and Liza, since he married her on my playthrough. The happily married couple build killed a hastened impetus Trinity Rain setup and it made my day tbh
The most batshit broken comps I have right now are -
1. Clive, Abel and a witch at back and Berengaria with yana at the front. Absolutely murders any infantry and sometimes even cavs.
2. The bastorian comp with yunifi, the werefox and werewolf at back. Morard and bertrand at the front. This one also absolutely annihilates enemies like nobody's business.

Does the NUKE team need Alain or can a different tank be used?
nuke teams can be built with nearly anyone its just the gear you need.

Doom knight , Amalia up front just to tank.
Chole (with cat ears from shard shop), drak prince ( he has institute boost, and i also put him with featehr from shard shop and the institve boost stacks) - mage (with trinity staff, and recast orb from treasue in albion)
Different tanks can be used! As long as they can cover. You do lose out on the amazing Level 30 defense ignoring AoE he gets though if you do use a different tank

I thought Elite Standard counted the difference the opposite way, meaning you needed MORE people than the enemy. Thanks for the clarification

One squad I've built that is thus far proving to be extremely effective consists of Ochlys (equipped with the Counterattack accessory) in the front row, and then in the back is Auch, a generic Witch, and Sebile. Sebile and the Witch will buff Ochlys, Auch will deal damage and set enemies on fire, and Ochlys will dodge just about everything the enemy throws at her and then perform a counterattack every single time she's attacked, regardless of if the attack connects or not. I can send that squad against most targets with minimal issues. And it's a squad that you can make relatively early in the game (all you really need is Ochlys and the ability to recruit Wizards, Witches, and Shamans). The only thing the squad still needs in my eyes is a healer, but once I have the ability to make 5-man squads, I'll likely add a Soldier to the front row with Ochlys, or alternatively move Josef to the front row of her squad once he's fallen back to being more or less "on par" with the rest of my units. And Ochlys is the squad leader so that the squad can benefit from the Flying mobility type.
Better add another tank capable unit or a cleanser because your team will get shut down hard against teams with cc and true strike.
@@Constellasian I plan on it once I unlock a 5th slot for the squad, I just don't want to change the current setup for the moment with how well it's been doing thus far. I'm about 3/4 of the way to Rank B Renown, so it won't be long before I can do so. I won't consider that squad truly "complete" until I have all 6 spaces unlocked. Plus it also won't be long until I can start promoting my units as well, which should also help.
I'm still pretty early in the game, as I've only just made a foothold for myself in Drakenhold by recruiting Berengaria and the other two recruitable units from that mission and then then the small side mission to capture the area directly southwest of that region in the desert, but I have yet to venture into the desert proper.
I stole that Berengaria build. I only have 4 units and definitely not optimized, but this unit just solos the game, and I don't even have the fifth slot for the elven archer yet.
Edit: now that I'm near the end of the game.. all of these are equally busted and cover eachothers weaknesses. I wish I had 5 more units like them so I could storm the battlefield lol.. but the first 4 teams have been all I needed.
I built a 5th team with Amalia, but with normal units that are built around supporting her damage. They're like.. level 17 right now, but can hold their own in Albian

Nope! Many of the builds, including the first one, I was able to bring online shortly after getting to Bastorias. You can skip the wait by using Coliseum Coins as well! The builds do get stronger with Endgame weapons and equipment ofc
