I really wish Kaito didn't survive this, don't dislike the character but it took a lot of the impact out of the scene and he would have made a good martyr to end the story on a bittersweet note.
I guess the writers are just afraid of concrete decisions like that, so they need to have the cake and eat it too. Which can be pretty jarring. I played the ending this morning and the impact of this moment was incredible until they immediately relieve it by telling us, “No, he’s actually fine.” Which, I’m fine with since I like the characters, but I also agree that it takes away from it. That was just a long winded way of saying I agree with you to a good extent.
In a sense Kaito, that naive and a little incompetent boy, died. You can hear confidence in his attitude after all union talks are over and you check with your crew. He became a man after this trial by fire
yup he should be dead. When I first experienced this ingame I thought damn this game is actually about something. Then it immediatly went back to stupid clown mode.
There are other bays around, you can see the cutters moving around in there - none of them stop after Lou leaves so, I guess they didn't think of that - or something fishy is going on with some illegal cloning...
If you look closer you can see while doing your ordinary shift a few things. - You can see the lights of the cutter tool from Kaito. -If you listen carefully you can hear the light-speed harbour charging up by some interferences from your headset. -To direction of the lift, there is a freighter ship stopping by to collect the goods that were salvaged. If you turn on your scanner and point towards it you can even hear the radio frequency of it.
I remember someone put this as a suggestion back for the scene where he keeps destroying reactors. Cool to see it get added in They won't, however, bring back the demo push. Get back to work, Cutter. You've got quotas to meet
hi this came up in my recommended videos, and the title spoiled this story beat for me. you could easily change the title to something more ambiguous to prevent spoiling unexpected story beats.

I actually debated how much I could put in the title/thumbnail to show what this was without spoiling it, and I had thought I had found a balance for.... reasons that I am now hesitating going into details. (there'll be more under the cut and a lot of backspacing, I invite you not to read if you have not finished Act 2 of the story). I didn't want to spoil this for anyone, but I was also unsure what other titles I could use. Brainstorming some right now The reason why I'd figure it wouldn't be too much of a spoiler is because Kai makes explosions happen quite often, and I figured people would think it would be one of the earlier cases of blowing up. ..... @@Serilia you're right, it isn't that big of a spoiler considering kaito blows up as often as he does. i think im just sensitive to spoilers on youtube after a certain better call saul scene was spoiled from a youtube recommendation :(

I've seen both opinions, some liking that he survived, others wishing he hadn't, putting a character in this much danger really divides opinions
